Don't mess with Grace

"Hmph… go away from me… I don't want to talk to you" said Misty without trying to move away from him at all.

"Hmm… nope… I want to hug my wife." Hira refused. 

"Now you remember of your wife huh? Did you remember this wife when you ran away with Rose?" Misty retorted. 

"Hehe… sorry… I will compensate my dear wife, what do you say?" Hira apologized. 

"Cough… okay… I need a lot of care, as compensation, make sure to pay me well." Misty changed her way in less than a second. 

"…" Hira was stunned for a second.

"You… naughty little boss." Hira pinched her cheeks. 

"Tehee… that's what you get for making me wait." Misty made a face on Hira. 

"Alright… I have to meet someone today, I will be leaving now, but I will come back soon. Now give your husband a goodbye kiss, hurry up." Hira demanded.

"Mmmmwa…" Misty kissed him on the lips. 

Then Hira looked at rose, who happily ran up to him and gave him another kiss. 

"Bye…" Hira waved before leaving the shop again.

"So… how was it?" As soon as Hira left the shop, Misty hurriedly inquired with Rose. 

"It… It was good." Rose admitted, a tinge of rosiness appeared on her cheeks. 

"Tell me about it." Misty said. 

"What… no?" Rose denied. 

"Tell me or I will hog Hira all for myself." Misty threatened. 

"He doesn't belong to you." Rose didn't back down. 

"Hmph… I am the first wife, of course I can get him to love me more." Misty showed her superiority. 

"… O… Okay…" It's not like Rose didn't want to talk about it. And who better to talk about it than her cute little/elder sister. 

"Hehe…" Both Hira's first and second wives laughed before getting comfortable on sofa, as for what they talked about. Even the employees outside could guess it.

"Alright, let's go…" Hira said as he sat inside the luxurious cart that Daniel had brought for him.

"Very well master." Daniel said, before giving the command to the cart-driver to move. 

"I have to say Daniel, this is a nice cart you brought." Hira praised. 

"I am glad you like it master. This is one of my best carts." Daniel felt proud, getting praised by his master. 

"Alright… so tell me more about this 'sister' of yours while we are on the way." Hira asked. 

"Sure master, Grace is not my real sister, but a child born after my father had fun with a servant in the house. Even though she was played around with and thrown, her mother still raised Grace with pure heart and care. But she could not handle the pressure of the Crest family's evils and ended up dying at a young age." 

"Grace was only 6 when her mother died. And even before that, there had been several attempts to kill her by the wives and concubines of Crest's family head, who were jealous of Grace and her mother's beauty."

"But Grace would somehow always come out safe and unscathed, no matter what kind of tricks were played on her. Before her mother died, she did her very best to make sure that Grace was safe and sound all the time. But after her death, the only person who would care for her disappeared from Grace's world. After that she would rarely be seen in the household. And whenever she would, many of the family members would taunt her or even beat her. Grace, knew her position so she never fought back, she would just bear and disappear soon after." 

"But…" Daniel suddenly stopped, unsure if he should continue. 

"But what?" Hira who had become interested in Grace now, asked why Daniel stopped. 

"I am not sure if it's just a coincidence or something else master. But, whenever someone in the family says or does something bad with Grace… It doesn't end up well for them." Daniel said, a hint of fear in his eyes were visible. 

"What does that mean?" Hira asked for clarification. 

"Master… when she was only 8, the eldest brother of the house, who was also 19 back then tried to have his way with her. But while he was trying to do so, a stone hit him out of nowhere, allowing Grace to run away from his grab. But… but… after…" Daniel stuttered. 

Hira did not say anything and waited patiently for him to continue. 

"Sigh…" Daniel sighed before he continued. 

"After she ran away… nothing happened for two days, my eldest brother tried very hard to find her and the person who had thrown the stone at him, but he could find any of them. In his rage, he also killed the maid who just happened to come in front of him while he was searching for the culprit. But… but…" 

"Slap…" Hira slapped him on the face. 

"Would you fucking get to the climax; it's been more than 800 words already." Hira slapped him for stuttering again and again and breaking the flow of the story. It breaks all the concentration when the orator ends up stuttering in the middle of a good story. 

"So… Sorry master." Daniel apologized before he continued. 

"The eldest of the house suddenly disappeared two days after the incident, many rounds of searches were done to find him, but…" Daniel was about to stutter again but his eyes fell on Hira who was giving him a mean look, he hurriedly continued with the story.

"He never appeared until 10 days later. He was seen by an escort group outside of the town, he was dead. Not just dead, his body seemed as if it had been tortured brutally before allowing him to die, that was one of the most horrifying deaths that had ever happened in the Crest's history." 

"…" Hira didn't say anything. 

Seeing Hira silent, Daniel continued. 

"That's not the end either master, after the eldest son's death, no one considered Grace to be the culprit, it never crossed anyone's mind, so her treatment was still the same as it used to be. It would even go unnoticed and uneventful most of the time, but whenever someone tried to cross the line… Master, those who messed with Grace, and lived to tell the tale, there are none." Daniel said. 

"After multiple such events occurred, the family members and later even the family head started scheming to kill her, but they never succeeded, Even I… I still remember how I used to beat her up when she was young. I am just glad, she doesn't remember it, or I am afraid I would be dead by now." Daniel admitted how much he feared Grace.

"Finding himself unable to hurt Grace at all, the lord of Crest decided to marry her to the lustful and greedy Baron of this territory. But what was unexpected was, Grace also readily agreed to marry the Baron. And that's how she got into this town." Daniel completed the story. 

The cart also reached the gates of the Baron's castles, where they were allowed to pass without any hassle because Daniel was their lord's brother-in-law.

"Honestly master… I am just glad, she doesn't remember how I treated her when we were kids, or I would have ended up dead long ago." Daniel said fearfully as they got down from the cart. 

"Oh… you think so, I think she still remembers everything very clearly." Hira said as he smiled at the cart driver.
