At the sound of his name, he felt caught red-handed. The land around them for miles including the building they were standing in were all his yet he felt in trouble for casually walking down the hallway and passing by the door to Celia's room.
His normally unexpressive face said as much as his dark eyes widened and he stared at the woman who had just appeared.
He thought he had been walking quietly - a skill he had adapted through his time as a large knight. Perhaps he was mistaken. He had drank that evening and his judgment could be clouded, he reasoned.
In his mind, there certainly wasn't a way the invisible powers of the universe would allow a coincidence like that to happen to him. He had wanted to see her and she appeared before him.
