She forgot me

"Your Majesty, things are not good within the palace." Minister Guo speaks, bowing his head down with his hands forming a curved structure ahead of him, he looks aside, through the corner of his eyes, watching his mates.

"What do you mean?" The King, Yi Yongxi, asks while he looks between the two sides of the hall where two different groups of ministers were standing, the main two leading figures of the consecutive group standing before him.

"Your Majesty, please rethink your decision on marrying your daughter to a demon." Minister Shen speaks, glaring at Minister Guo and bowing his head with similar gestures which had the king frowning.

"Do you understand what you are saying?!" Yi Yongxi roars, everyone trembles at his loud voice, "Your Majesty, even our Tao Tao from a close Shi family is suitable for marriage, why don't you give them both a chance and have them meet the demon lord?"

Yi Yongxi found his fist clenching hearing Minister Guo, "You want me to do what?" Yi Yongxi asks, raising a brow and daring them to say a word more, everyone wanted power and the competition for this power was so fierce.

"Your Majesty, I agree with your decision, it's Minister Guo who has this dilemma over why you choose our Princess Hua." Minister Shen speaks a little scoffing and mocking Minister Guo who remained stoic in his place thinking of the things he could let out.

"Your Majesty, I just wanted you to know that if we do so, we might not have to think about the demon king looking for his bride out of the noble families or maybe Royals." Minister Guo speaks, ignoring Minister Shen's mocking and staying put to make the king change his perception to his benefit.

The king ponders over those words, with a little helplessness he shifts on his throne and leans ahead, "What is it that you suggest?" Yi Yongxi asks, with authority as he attempts to hide his desperation to solve this issue.

"We make him choose from the Princesses, he has an option as well and if he further demands to explore more, we can organize daughters from higher nobles." Minister says, grinning to himself, "But I want him to choose between the two princesses." Yi Yongxi says, sternly.

"Your Majesty, don't get swayed by his words. You should understand that if the demon lord gets offended, we will get in trouble." Minister Shen speaks, giving the king a worried glance, Yi Yongxi takes a deep breath and leans against the throne.

"Then what do you all expect me to do?" Yi Yongxi mutters, "Your Majesty, you should probably do as I say-"

"No, Your Majesty. I would better prefer it if you put effort into both the princess if you want him to choose. One fact for sure, the demons cannot deny the beauty." MInister Shen speaks, cutting Minister Guo who grits his teeth in rage as he looks away.

"In case, if you are determined it's our girl, Hua then, we should focus on her." Minister Shen adds, with a subtle nod and a smile, Yi Yongxi thinks over it, nodding his head in approval.

"Make sure, there is plenty of jewelry and robes for her tomorrow." The king shouts, dismissing everyone, "I want the outcome to be as I expect." Yi Yongxi adds, as he stands up and walks out of the throne hall.

Minister Guo groans and looks at Minister Shen, "Don't think that you got your way, things are still not so stable." Minister Guo says, smirking at Minister Shen.

"I am here, watching you try your way. But our family will be the one." Minister Shen says, scoffing and walking away while the rest of his members walk out after Minister Shen.

"I got to do something!" Minister Guo grumbles, fisting and throwing a punch in the air, he calms himself and walks out while the startled members of his follow him out.

"I asked you to do a simple thing and you come back with failure!" Shi Lian shouts, huffing out air through her nostrils in rage, Minister Guo looks away, clenching his fist.

"It's still an open option, Your Grace. If the demon took a fancy on our Tao Tao then, who is His Majesty to deny?" Minister Guo says, earning a dubious look from Shi Lian.

With a few seconds to her thoughts, Shi Lian was smirking with that wide smile, "You are right." She mutters, grabbing her fan from the table before her and fanning herself in delight.

"But, Did you talk to her?" Minister Guo questions, Shi Lian smirks, "Of course, why wouldn't I?" She replies, grinning to herself.

"And she agreed to marry the demon?" Minister Guo asks, he looks away when Shi Lian snaps her head at him, squinting and glaring, "How dare she defy me? Has she ever got anything going against me?" Shi Lian says, boasting about herself and showing her dominance.

"No, Your Grace. I will be happy if things go your way." Minister Guo says, grinning while Shi Lian chuckles, nodding her head, "Kudos to your words, now go and get the things working." Shi Lian says, dismissing him.

Minister Guo nods his head and stands up, making his way out of the room, leaving a daydreaming Shi Lian to herself.

"Your Highness, you look so different… did something happen when you were lost?" Lin Yi asks as they two make their way to the chamber, Yi Hua chuckles, subtly nodding her head.

"What happened?" Lin Yi asks, growing concerned.

"I don't really recall but one thing for sure, I am over that crap." Yi Hua says, looking at Lin Yi, Lin Yi understands Yi Hua's intention to have her stop questioning, she looks away, nodding her head.

"Where did you send him?" Yi Hua looks at Lin Yi, Lin Yi awkwardly smiles, wondering if she should have stayed silent instead of trying to change the topic, "Just some errands. You better follow me to the chamber and take a rest."

Lin Yi nods her head, "Okay."

They both slowly make their way, Yi Hua unaware of little Lu Yang Yang following her from behind with a sad pout on his cute little face, "She forgot me, didn't she?" He asks, growing sad.

Halting briefly, he bites his lips and floats away.
