At the break of dawn the next day, Charles was roused from his slumber by the persistent knocking of Little Green.
"Let me sleep a bit longer, it's still early." Charles shouted directly at the door. Instantly, the knocking ceased, and Little Green retreated to his own room, awaiting Charles to wake up at his leisure.
It was an indeterminate amount of time later when Charles finally awoke.
"Master, it is now nearly noon. Should you choose to continue sleeping, our first day at Rock Fortress will be entirely squandered."
Medusa remarked with a smile, addressing Charles.
Medusa's tone held no hint of reproach. In Medusa's perspective, whatever the Master chose to do was inherently right.
Charles glanced out the window, indeed, the sun was already perched high in the zenith of the sky.
"You are right. We should promptly investigate the situation within Rock Fortress." Charles stated as he dressed at lightning speed.
