Demoness necklace

It's always crowded in a street market.

They made me dizzy if I stay here long enough. Well, I won't be here that long though.

I continue my walk in the street market and I found a shop that sells jewelry.

I browse the shop and try to search for something suitable for my plan. I keep on browsing until my eyes caught on a purple gem necklace.

It has a round gem and tiny gems around the round gem.

I love it!

"I will buy this one, ma'am" I handover my money and it's not that expensive. More like that ma'am wanted to sell it off badly-

After that, I head to the mountain in an "Illusion Forest".

This forest is known by it's "Charms" by messing with one's mind, body and soul. But ever since I stepped into the forest, nothing happened.

I'm kinda disappointed.

But hey!

I don't have any magic to defend myself…

Well, not anymore.

Maybe because the forest thinks that I'm no more than a bug for them.

WELL SUCKS TO BE ME, I GUESS!!

After a long walk in the massive forest, I found a castle out of nowhere. It is humongous. I intend to take a quick look at the entrance and saw "Seals" with symbols on them. I tried to take them off but that bloody seals burned my fingers.

Those three ugly papers-

I'M GOING TO BURN THEMM!!!

One hour has passed, I finally managed to get all three of those seals off the entrance. My fingers were all burned…

I want to cry~

I'm just a baby. Buhuuu-

"BUT I CAN'T!! I NEED TO STAY STRONG!!" I said this as my tears are dripping down all over my cheek.

Anyway, I open the door and enter the castle. It was dark all the way through the hall, the only thing that emits the lights are the candles on the wall, organised as to guide whoever came in the castle.

But to my surprise.

...Oh My God…

A demoness is resting on her throne.

I walk towards her.

Only a few steps, the demoness raised her head and said with a seducing voice. "Why hello there. What brings you to me?~" 

Without any hesitations, I shout. "I'm capturing you!" I said with a confident smile on my face.

Well, if we know that we're going to win, we must be confident, am I right??

"Is that so? And how do you suppose you'll be doing that?" She replied with a smirk on her face.

So unbothered.

I don't even know why that made me mad.

Less emotions should I show in this situation.

"I have my ways~ But do tell me your powers!" I asked her firmly.

"Well…I'm a demoness with a powerful magical powers. I have spells of the Dark Arts more than anyone could have~" She is so so so confident.

A lil bit sassy too…Worth catching!

"Do I get a prize for giving you this information?~" She asked me curiously with one eyebrow raised.

"Yes…by becoming my magical item!" I said with a smile.

Gotta keep up with her confidence though...I ain't losing-

She look at me with underestimation. "Being your magical item? You're gonna have to elaborate, darling." She said with a grin on her face.

I'm too lazy to be riddling with her, so I'm going to explain it to her in the simplest and direct form.

"Well, I'm gonna trap you into my jewel and you are gonna be my magical item." I said with ease.

All of a sudden, she look at me with fiery eyes.

"H-hold up there~ I will never be a mere accessory! I am a demoness, a powerful one at that and I expect to be treated as such!"

I know she felt humiliated the way I simply ordered her to be my magical item.

I smile devilishly and raise the purple necklace that I bought from the market.

"Hehehe~ Too late! Captio Captionem-" I muttered my incantation and she's trapped in my beautiful necklace.

Luckily she was caught of guard. If not, then I would've died way before I could raise the necklace

"Hey! What in the- hey, let me out, damn it!! What are you doing?!" She said while tapping inside the gem of the necklace.

I smiled in success.

WOOOHOOOO I DID ITT!!

"This necklace is now your host…you will be bind with the necklace. The necklace is now your life~" I said to her as I started walking towards the door.

It's so hot today and I can see the reflection of the sun from the gem of the necklace.

It looks aesthetic af. The demoness too!

"Well, I better look fabulous as hell in this necklace. Because if you think that's gonna stop me from ruling my demon kingdom, you're dead wrong, sugar~" She spouted nonsense.

"You can never rule without an owner~ Now that you're a magical item." I said sarcastically. But I'm not lying though-

 "Hey, shut up! I am the demoness! I'm not someone's little toy!" She sounded super furious.

"Well, you are now!" I laughed.

"Great. Just wonderful." She sounded like she's accepting it. But in a sarcastic way.

"Can you, like, let me out? Cause as hot as this necklace is, it's kinda hard to breathe." She said again.

"Don't lie to me, woman." I said as I'm walking into the forest.

My body feels really really heavy. Maybe because I'm tired from trapping the Queen of Demons in the necklace-

I end up sitting on a boulder.

"Woman? Don't you think demoness would be more appropriate here?~" She said in her arrogant and possibly sexy tone.

"Whatever…" I'm too tired to even have a conversation with her. I'm starting to think that when I use magic without magical powers, I may accidentally used my life force for the price.

Arghhh!

I'm too tired to even scream nor sigh…

"Whatever indeed." She said again but I ignored her.

"Hey, this necklace is nice and all, but, like, I prefer my freedom. You know, out there~" She sounded very accepting.

I don't know if I should trust her or not.

But I did equip this necklace around my neck, so I'm her master now, right?

"Fine. But you mustn't do anything stupid." I warned her before freeing her from the necklace.

"Ugh, really? What sort of beautiful, smart, intelligent demoness do you think I am?" She sounded super sassy.

I glared at the necklace.

"Fine, but you better treat me right~" She ordered.

Well, here goes nothing.

I touches the necklace and it glows.

So bright that I had to cover my eyes.

Suddenly, a fairy-like demoness is floating in front of me.

"Hello, young one~" She said while bowing like a princess midair.

I look disgusted.

We stare at each other for complete silent seconds…...

"WHAT'S WITH THAT LOOK?!" She shouted at me.

"How do you expect me to look at you?" I asked her back.

"I DON'T KNOW!! MAYBE A LITTLE SMILE I GUESS?!?!" 

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!! YOU MEATHEAD!"

There's no way I'm complimenting her.

"HOW DARE YOUU!!" She come flying at me with her claws.

She's so small, I just need one finger to hold her head and stop her midair.

"THIS IS NOT WHAT FAIRIES ARE LIKE! THEY'RE CUTE, YOU'RE VICIOUS!!" I judged.

She stopped her attacks.

"Well I'm not a normal fairy…I'm a demon fairy~ there's difference!"

"No, really- What's up with the fairy costume?" I looked at her with disgusting but curious expression.

"Well, I've always wanted to be a fairy since I was a kid~" She said, twirling midair.

"Nope." I flicked her and send her flying away-

"AHHHH"

"Fine! This is my simple form. Take it as a disguise." She explained to me after flying back here while rubbing her tiny head.

"Ahhh…I see!"

She's quite a unique demon. I always thought that demons are super evil and emotionless. They can be super manipulative.

But this one-

I don't even know…

"So, am I your master now?" I asked her with excitement in my eyes, hoping for the answer to be 'Yes'.

"No." She replied without any hesitations.

She didn't even look at me.

SUPER UNBOTHERED!!

ARGHHHHHH!!! BUT I THOUGHT WHEN I EQUIPPED THIS NECKLACE SHE'S NOW CONTRACTED WITH ME!!

Relax, relax, take a deep breathe and calm down.

"What? Then what am I suppose to do?" I asked her calmly.

"Form a contract with me, legally." She said this while looking at me with her small but annoying expression face.

"How am I suppose to do that? Do I need any preparations?"

She flew in front of me.

"Of course not. The only preparation is for both parties to be present at the same place while forming the contract."

"Okay…tell me the procedure."

She stared at me while eating the berries she picked and sigh.

"Fine…we need to shake hands and recite the incantation."

She then turn into her demoness form and we shake hands.

"Repeat after me~ I, your name, am forming a contract with this magnificent creature for life."

I look at her with trust.

"I, Kevin, am forming a contract with this magnificent creature for life~"

"I, Nadia Dragonheart, magnificently accept the contract~" She said while she use her other hand to flip her hair arrogantly.

"There is no need for the word 'magnificent' in the incantation, isn't it?" I thought to myself.

As I'm about to lash out at her, our hands starts to feel warm and shadow chains are wrapped around our hands, so tight that it almost break my arm.

Luckily it was only for a few seconds, then disappeared.

"Is it done?" I asked her while holding my hand.

"Of course~" She hopped and changed back into her fairy-like demon form.

I'm starting to think that she likes it more than her demoness form. I call it "The Dumb Form" because she becomes dumber when she's in that form. All she do is eating sweets.

"So, what is your name, again?" She asked me while biting a mouthful of berries.

She's a TOTAL GLUTTON!

"Kevin. Your name is Nadia Dragonheart, right?"

"Yup!" She agreed excitedly as she flew to a tall tree and picked her small handful of berries.

Dragonheart, huh-?

Why does it sound familiar...?

"Oi, Dumb One." She looked at me and glared.

"What?" She hissed at me as she took a mouthful bite of different kinds of berries.

I was going to ask her about her family's name but she distracted me for being so greedy.

"You're gonna get fat if you pig out like that-"

She rushed in front of my face and shouted. "I HAVE NOT EATEN ANYTHING SINCE THE LAST DECADE!! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT, HUMAN!!" She's mad of course. But no need to spit your saliva at me…

"But I thought demons are carnivores…"

"Well, you thought wrong~" She said as she flew away with her black but shiny butterfly wings. Her wings are burned edges and the colour looks like a silent night sky with the light from the stars.

So beautiful.

I can also see her wings and glittery black dress with a black cape that swayed beautifully through the way of the wind.

She points at the road in front of us. "That'll lead us to the nearest human village. Hurry Hurryyy~ I can't wait to taste more food that they have to offer!" I felt her gluttony aura is increasing.

"O-okay."

We walk down the road and I start asking her a few things that I need to know.

For instance, what kind of demon she is.

But she always answer with, "Oh, me? I am the most powerful and magnificent demon. Not to mention, the beauty that tops the whole world…no, UNIVERSE~"(I imitate her voice as squeaky and annoying) I regret asking her-

We continue to walk in the Illusion Forest and all creatures bowed before us…

Well, her-

I turn to look at Nadia and asked. "Hey, why does all of these creatures bow to you?" I was looking forward for another of her "Narcissistic answers", but no.

"Well, it's simple. I'm their queen~" She said with confidence.

"Really?" I looked in disbelief and judging face.

"Yes, I am their queen. My title is the Queen of Illusion Forest."

WHAT?! I thought her title was Queen of Demons??

"Aren't you the Queen of Demons?" I asked her curiously.

She stops flying midair and look at me.

Then she starts laughing maniacally.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

"YOU REALLY THOUGHT THAT I AM THE QUEEN OF DEMONS?? THAT'S FUNNY!!" She continued to laugh.

I look at her with an annoyed face.

"No I'm not. I'm only the Queen of Illusion Forest and no more. But my magical powers are indeed really strong." She flips her hair after she finished her sentences.

"I see…"

She started to look all depressed and sad.

"I am their queen, but I've done nothing for them since the last decade. I was sealed and couldn't do anything except watched my forest being intruded by an army of humans. With that, my citizens in the forest, including the forest itself decided to go rogue." I noticed Nadia's face when she's talking about what happened to her.

I feel sorry for her.

Who would've done something like this?

But wait, she's a demon. So it is reasonable that someone had to seal her away.

But for now, I must comfort her.

"Hey, Dumb one. I think you are the best queen ever."

She look up at me. "Huh? You think so?"

"Yeah! You know why? It's because, even though you weren't there for them this whole time, they still respect you and acknowledges you as their queen. They are so loyal to you. Don't let your past haunt you for the rest of your life." I said to her while patting her head.

Nadia looked around her and saw these creatures of the forest still bowing to her.

She smiled happily.

I knew her intentions were sincere.

She fly up in the air and say, "Creatures of the forest, I, Nadia Dragonheart, your Queen of Illusion Forest, will protect you all starting from today!"

All the creatures in the forest cheer and roar happily.

I also clap my hands and smile, looking at the one and only Queen of the Illusion Forest.

She fly down, waving at the creatures with her tiny hand and stop midair in front of me.

"Look how awesome I am~" She said while flipping her hair arrogantly.

I look disgusted.

"Hmm…anyway, let's head to the town before the sun sets."

"Of course! Let's go!!" She flew past me.

We finally arrived at the town after a long walk.

Well, for me i guess.

Nadia flew all the way from the forest until now.

I glared at her.

She glared at me and stuck out her tongue.

"Tch- This bug…" I said under my breath.

"Let's go inside, Kevin! I can't wait to taste the food~"

She's so inpatient. She is a GLUTTON after all.

Never mind her, the first thing we need to do once arrived at the town is to find a place to stay.

I look at her and say, "First things first, we need to find a place to stay."

"Ugh- Fine."

Nadia flips her hair and fly near me to sit on my shoulder.

I walk through the town to search for a place to stay.

"This town is not that huge but WHY CAN'T I FIND A PLACE TO STAY?!" I lashed out for a second.

"Chill, human. We just need some help~" Nadia hopped from my shoulder and flew towards one lady.

She whispers in her ear.

"Find us a place to stay~"

And all of a sudden, that lady approach me and pull my hand.

Her eyes are blank.

Nadia landed on my right shoulder and she insist me to follow the lady.

That same lady led me to an inn.

After that, Nadia snap her fingers and that lady's eyes appears alive again.

"Where am I? Oh well I'm sorry to bother you. Have a good night~" That lady said while bowing and she walked away.

"What did you do?" I asked Nadia who's sitting on my shoulder.

"I hypnotized her to find us an inn. It's a lot simpler don't you think?"

She's so unbothered.

"Well, I admit that that was clever."

"Clever indeed~" She said while laying down on her side on my shoulder.

I headed to the receptionist.

"Uhm- Hello there. May I book a small room for one night?"

"Hello, mister. Of course you can~ let me book it for you then." She said while writing something on the counter.

"Pst pst-"

I heard someone's calling me. But I look everywhere there's no one there.

Nadia use her tiny claws to scratch my neck.

"Owww!!" It hurts.

The receptionist looks at me with a curious face and tilts head.

"Hehehehe-" I can only laugh it off. I turn around and face my right shoulder. "What?"

"Wouldn't it be nice if we have a bigger room and a full course meal?" She looked at me with puppy eyes.

I sigh.

"I don't have enough money for that."

"I do~" Nadia pointed at her necklace around my neck.

"You want me to sell your life?!"

"NO DICK HEAD! I WAS TRYING TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS NECKLACE YOU'RE IMPRISONING ME IN!"

"Go on…"

She sigh.

"As I was about to say, this necklace is my host, right?"

"Yes."

"Then, it is also my new home~" She said while smiling at me.

I stayed silent for a bit…

"?huh?"

(Nadia just gave up and got ascended to Hell... RIP Nadia~)

"Lemme tell you more about binding magic. If you were to bind someone into any item, that item will become that someone's host. Which implies to their belongings and magic as well as their lives being stored into the item. And they can never be free from it unless their master, aka the user, allows them to." She explained the every details.

"Ahh I see~ So you're telling me, that you have money in this necklace?" I said while pointing the necklace at her.

"Yes…FINALLY~"

"Then, how do I take it out?" I asked.

"Simple…leave it to me." She appointed herself as she hop from my shoulder and fly towards the necklace.

Nadia touches the gem with her hand and mutters. "Gold~"

Out of the blue, a sack gold appear in front of my feet, on the ground.

"Aha~ and that's how it's done." She said as she flips her hair and landed on my right shoulder again.

I turn around and look at the receptionist.

"Uhm- Miss, can I please get the biggest room? And a full course meal too, please."

"Sure! We can rearrange that~ Just wait a minute, please." "Thank you~" "No worries."

A few minutes later, we got our room.

"Let me bring you to your room~" The receptionist offered.

"Alright." I can't wait to take a shower, my body felt sticky-

We walk and arrived at our room. The receptionist opens the door and we saw a big room with king sized bed and a bathtub as well as a pool with big ass fountain in the middle.

"WOAHHHH~!!"

"Enjoy your stay. Have a good night~"

"Okay. Thank you."

Before I walk into the room, Nadia enter the room by flying as fast as lightning.

She fly around and around in the room, surprisingly she doesn't get dizzy by all those spinning.

"Wowww~ I've never thought that a commoner's inn can be this luxurious!" Nadia said while she's flying and her eyes are busy scanning the entire room.

I enter the room, shut the door and lock it.

"Yeah. You underestimate us humans a lot." I said as I put down my backpack.

"Now! When can we eat?! I'm starving!" She fell slowly onto the dining table like a leaf fall down from a tree.

"Be patient, Dumb One."

"Ugh- Fine!"

I take off my clothes and wear a towel.

Nadia look at me for a moment then continue eating her berries that she saved in her necklace around my neck.

I will never take the necklace off. It's for precautions.

After that, I took a bath in the bathtub inside our room. The water is warm and very comforting.

It's just PERFECT~

While I'm relaxing in the bathtub, I heard knocking on the door.

"I got it~" Nadia said as she's flying to the door and open it.

"This is your dinner, mister." Said a girl.

"Oh, nice! Hand it over to the fairy at the door. Thank you!" I ordered her from the bathtub.

"Huh? Fairy?"

Suddenly, Nadia appears in front of her, leaving that poor girl shocked.

Turns out, Nadia has been invisible this whole time.

What a sly demon.

"I'll take that, thank youu~"

Before the girl could reply, Nadia kicked the door closed. She use her magic to hold the plates and gently put it on the dining table.

She's so gentle when it comes to food...

I get off the tub, wearing my bathrobe that was prepared at the side.

I take a seat at the dining table and grab my own food to my plate.

We have plenty of foods. But I don't think it'll be enough since I got a Glutton Demon by my side.

Haaa! What a pathetic fate??

When she's in her demoness form, she's so cool, sassy, arrogant, regal and flirty. But when she's in her Dumb Form, she became, well...SUPER DUMB!!

As we're eating our meal silently, Nadia broke the silence all of the sudden.

"Hey, so what are your plans after this?"

"First, we need to go to the Forbidden Forest~" I said as I took a spoonful of food after.

"The Forbidden Woods? Sounds...Intriguing~" She looked at me while taking a mouthful of chicken.

"I know right?~" I agreed with her.

"Well, let's just hope we don't find the infamous werewolf there. No way to tell, though." She said with a disgusting face and continued to eat her food.

I nod in agreement.

"Though I must say, I'm looking forward to this trip~ I hope we find something interesting in the forest~"

"Yeah! Me too!"

"But, if we find any werewolves....I'm hiding behind you." She said suddenly.

"Said someone who claimed to be the strongest demon." I said while rolling my eyes.

"I am a strong demon! But werewolves have always given me creeps. They were humans before! And on top of that, they have FLEAS!" She said disgustingly.

I glared at her.

"No. You can't hide. You are now a magical item, so you must improvise your skills."

"Ugh- Fine." She said and finished all of the foods.

I touch her necklace that I'm wearing around my neck and smile.

Nadia saw me slightly smirked, then she asked.

"Why did you capture me?" I looked at her but couldn't stand the eye contact.

"I- I wanted magical powers…" I said without looking at Nadia. My eyes are glued to her necklace.

"Why? You're obsessed or something?" She said while laying down on her stomach on top of the dining table with her feet up, wiggling.

"No. It's uhm- complicated…" I said while looking away to avoid eye contact.

Nadia giggled.

"You can tell me, Kevin. Even if you decided to lie, I can sense it~" She said confidently and flips her dark purple hair with elegance.

"Fine…The truth is, I'm planning on taking a revenge on my best friend." I noticed Nadia's eyes began to open wide.

"WHAT?!" She shouted. "That's the last thing I want to hear from you." She pointed her tiny index finger at me.

"Hear me out." I said calmly.

"As much as I love chaos, you are not welcome to the party!" She said again as she stuck out her tongue at me.

I am annoyed. If only this bug will listen to me first.

"Oi, Dumb One! Listen to me first!" I reasoned.

Nadia finally calmed down and slowly sat on the dining table.

"Alright then, I will tell you my story from the top~"

"I had a best friend who's destined to save the world and bring peace wherever he go. He was blessed by the gods of this world. I'm not jealous though. In fact, I'm tremendously proud of him. I knew I can be strong like him in other ways. So, I decided to enhance magical items. I tried on lots of magical items, either the ones that I bought or the ones from the kingdom. But I got stronger and stronger, so I started to create new spells and crafts new items. I was so excited with my new found powers that I decided to show him. He acknowledged me and brought me to his castle. I helped him create magical items that'll be useful in any battle. He loved the ideas. He adored it. Because of that, he praised me a lot. So I began to create even more advanced magical items. I helped those people in the city in so many ways possible, but everything changed on one unfortunate day. The Hero knew that I've been creating magical items that are too advanced to use by anyone. They even classified my items as Legendary Items. I even created my own Dark Arts. They were incredible! But instead, The Hero decided to dampened my magical powers until there's nothing left. After that, they exiled me from the kingdom- I couldn't believe it...THAT HERO WAS MY BEST FRIEND! HOW COULD HE?! I CREATED THOSE ITEMS NOT TO HURT PEOPLE, BUT TO HELP!"

Nadia looked at me with emotional eyes.

She fly at me and stop in front of my face. She's caressing my face with her tiny soft hands.

"It's okay, Kevin. We are stronger together! We are going to get a big revenge on him! Trust me~" She said in her regal voice.

"Thanks, Nadia~" I really appreciated it.

"No worries, human!" She's so full of herself, but I don't hate it.

I calm myself and begin to explain the plan to Nadia. She listened carefully.

"Okay, first we need to go to the Forbidden Forest to retrieve my scythe. Then, we can go to The Hero's castle to take on our revenge. It might not be easy even if I have your powers. Since The Hero has divine ranked Light Magic, you will be ineffective against him. So, my advice, don't take him one on one. Got it?"

"Yeahh I got it~ By the way, aren't the scythe too powerful for you to use? Besides, you already have your fair share of magical item, mwuah~" She pointed herself with pride.

"That's true. But I really need to be cautious. Since I'll be using your magic, you might end up running out of it. Besides, I need you by my side to help kill the enemies. Let's take it as a familiar, in a form of a magical item."

"Fine. But if anything happens to you, I will not hesitate to take my necklace and run away. Got it?" She said while flipping her hair.

"I understand." I agreed with her.

"Good! Now I'm sleepy. I wanna sleep." She yawned so hard.

"You're right. It's been a long day~" I climbed on the bed.

"Where am I gonna sleep?" She flew on top of me.

"Anywhere you want, bug. I don't care-" I slowly went to sleep.

"Ughhh-"

She used her powers to push me away a little and sleeps beside me.
