No Matter What…

"What happened?" Azi asked seriously. The moment they saw his seriousness Ken and Jim also became serious.

"Does anyone know she fear something? he asked. His black eyes searching for an answer from his friends. But everyone looked as clueless as him.

" What…Does she have some phobia? Jim asked.

"Nahh… Rather than something I would say someone" Asher replied.

"Who?" Ken asked curiously…' Zay is fearing someone??' he thought.

" I don't know…when we entered the lift to go to parking lot she saw someone…since I was in call I didn't notice anything unusual but the moment I did she was breathing heavily and shivering profusely. It's like she is not even aware of her surroundings and was muttering please. When I turned to see what it was that is making her like that…I saw someone just outside the lift but I didn't mange to see his face. No matter what I did…she didn't snap out it for so long…" Asher narrated everything.

Well this is new to them. They never know she is scared of someone to the point of shivering. Sure she has changed since that incident but to fear someone this extent…they must have missed something.

"Did you check the surveillance?" Jim asked.

"l did…too bad they are under maintenance" Ash said.

"How about try asking someone in the corridor?" Jim asked again.

"Nobody knows since they are too many people there…they said fans of some actor" Ash replied.

"We will dig into this Ash" Azi said thoughtfully. All of them agreed. After some chattering and business they all left for their home.

In the bedroom of the penthouse

No matter how many times she tossed and turned she couldn't get an ounce of sleep. Finally giving up she sat up on the bed hugging her knees to herself with duvet covering from her waist. She rested her head on the knees and stared at the moon at the sky through ceiling to floor window. It was nearly midnight, and the night sky was picturesque. The moon, a glowing white, loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow.

Her mind drifted to the far away voices…

("What do you think you are doing here at this time of night?!" exclaimed a soothing and melodic voice.

"Same reason as yours…love" she replied cheerfully before sat beside him on the rooftop.

"Don't call me that" he said with gritted teeth.

"Okay love" she replied innocently.

"…"

"When will you go to work tomorrow?" She asked as opened her bag to grab some fresh juices bottles.

"I am not saying it…it's already enough of the problems you caused today" he glared at her.

"What did I do?" she asked innocently giving him one bottle.

He didn't say anything but raised his eyebrow as though warning her to come clean. She sighed and surrendered lifting her hand.

"Okay my bad…you can't blame me though she was eyeing you like she is gonna eat you up…nobody shouldn't watch you like that except for me…you are mine remember that " she said tapping her forefinger at his temple.

"And when did I agree to be yours?" he asked amusingly.

"Soon…"she replied with playful wink. He shook his head with gentle smile accepting the bottle. Earlier he already knew what would happen if he bring her to his workplace. Even though she promised she would sit silently he knew very well she wouldn't be able to keep it. As expected she couldn't bear others eyeing him like he is some kind of candy. Though he must admit even he too felt uncomfortable with their gazes.

"Why are you always watching moon?"she asked sipping her drink.

"Isn't it beautiful? Such a mystery how it can calm your heart like it was caressing it" he replied watching the moon.

"Is it?" she asked and looked at the moon intently as though she waiting for moon to caress her heart literally.

He chuckled seeing her expression and rubbed her head gently before continuing to watch the moon. Both of them watched the moon in a comfortable silence.)

Seeing the moon now…a lone tear escaped from her left eye. Quickly wiping it before it even reaches the cheek she laid down on her bed and closed her eyes.
