Near yet far away...

It is raining...

In the tall building in the middle of the city, there is a girl standing in front of the ceiling to floor window...with her bluish grey eyes looking somewhere far in the rain....her features are so delicate, no one want to touch her...afraid to break her just by their touch...she is likely a heavenly being living in the mortal world.

slowly the door of the penthouse opened...a hooded man stepped in. He is fully covered in black except for his grey eyes. He slowly walked towards the girl, stopping at ten feet away from her. He knows she is aware of his presence the moment he stepped in. He waited.

She turned her head slightly indicating to start talking.

"Game Over" he said with smirk.

she showed no emotion. She just stood there with cold look. After a whole two minutes of silence she said "leave". He said nothing and left. He knows very well when to talk...

she is standing there watching far away...her mind drifted to distant voices...

( In the dining table...a young teenage boy was whining like a kid...his mom was scolding him...a young girl and a middle aged man were trying their best not to laugh...well it started like this...

"Let's eat ice cream when it's raining, sis" said the young boy.

"No you aren't...you will catch a cold" his mom said after she smacked his head.

"OUCH!! Mom why did you hit me?"he said whining like a kid.

"So the message will sink in" she replied with mischievous smile.

"Mom, please...it will be fun...please...pretty please" he said puppy eyes that one can't resist it.

But who is she... she knows her son very well...she is not gonna fall for it. "No, that's final".

He helplessly turned to his father. His father stood from the chair without looking at his son and said to his wife " I need to take this call, honey " holding a phone to ear answering his non-existing call " hello....yeah..it's me.....". He escaped from the table as if he knows this would happen...he knows very well he can't resist his son's puppy eyes. So he better escape from there rather than struck between his lovely wife and his adorable son.

The boy just looked at his father in disbelief... he can't believe that his father escaped just like that. He then helplessly turned to his elder sister. She saw her brother turning his head toward her. She just winked at him with playful smile. His brightened and his eyes are sparkling... he just look like kid who got his ice cream...well technically he got his ice cream. He knows his sister won't say no to him.

Late at the night, the siblings sneaked out and ate ice cream happily. When they returned they were like a cat without making a sound they went to their own room. They were failed to notice a figure standing at the first floor looking at them. The figure turned left and entered a room. After he closed the door, the woman just stepped out of the shower.

"Were they home?" She asked.

"yeah...safely" he sighed.

She walked to him and hugged him. " They have their right to live like a normal kid...we can't always let the guards to follow them openly...they will come to hate this life if we do that ".

He hugged her back tightly and said " I know...I asked the guards to follow them secretly " he sighed. They failed to notice the figure standing outside the door listening to their conversation.

The girl turned around and went to her room. She knows this would happen. She knows her parents are aware of their sneaky night out. She also knows there are always guarded by the guards secretly. She knows her father business enemies are out there...trying to find a loop hole so that they can bring their father down.

She is glad that they allow them like this. She can't say no to her brother. Yeah..her brother don't like it when they are always guarded even though he didn't say it out aloud. That's why they always sneak out. She silently went to her to sleep.)

The lightning bolt pulled her out from her memories. She blinked her eyes and turned around to see the clock. It's 09.58pm. She has been standing there for nearly two hours. She went to her room to take a bath and changed into comfortable black shorts and white silk tank top. She laid down on her bed to sleep.
