I Returned To Being A Yakuza Underling

Matsuoka Shou, the average person who got involved unknowingly into the largest Yakuza groups in Japan, rose up to the very highest ranks, only to get killed at the very end of his life. But as death pulled his soul from the mortal coil, he found himself back in that same old room, that old apartment, where peace lingered, and conflict didn't exist. He was back, in his younger self, aiming to take revenge on those who wronged him.

Chapter 31

"Wha- Mishiki-Oyabun!"

Yumiko was still wearing the outfit she uses for work; a slightly tight dark dress with a fur coat without her putting on the sleeves.

"Well, Well, aren't you a beauty?" Said one of the thugs. "Don't tell me you're dating him too? Hey, why don't you ditch this guy and come with me instead, besides he seems to be cheating on a beauty like you anyway."

Yumiko took a quick glare at Shou and Hana before showing disgust at what the thug said to her.

"I refuse, I don't like spending time with a bunch of trashes like you."

"Tch, then fuck you!"

As the thug tries to throw a strike on Yumiko, Toda immediately stepped in and stopped his punch through his arm.

"B-bastard!"

Toda counters him with a powerful palm strike to his ribs that sent him flying to a pole, injuring his spine and cracking his ribs, the other lackeys were shocked by what they witnessed.

"Anyone else?" Said toda.

Everyone immediately ran away.

"Well that's too bad, Would've been fun to see them squeal in pain," Yumiko replied. "As for you, what brings you here? Shou."

"I could say the same to you, Mishiki-Oyabun."

"Mishiki-Oyabun? Don't tell me!..." Hana said with a shocked tone.

"Seems like this guy didn't tell you but believe it or not Shou is a yakuza member, he's part of my family," Yumiko answered.

"... Uhh."

"No wonder you were good at fighting..."

"... I have no excuses."

"Sigh, It's fine I'm an information broker anyway, and having you connected to the Mishiki clan is beneficial to me."

"That's where we come in. Don't even think about selling information about us or else, and I think you already know what happens to people who can't shut their mouths."

"... Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud."

"You're too carefree Hana," Shou answered.

"Even then, You think I wouldn't know you would do that? And besides Shou can't go against my orders because he's part of my family, so I could just ask him about you afterward anyway."

'She's right, but what am I supposed to do now? The opportunity to sell information about one of the infamous Yakuza gangs is in shambles, I can't just let this chance slip by.' Hana thought to herself.

"... Your name is Hana right?"

"Um, Y-yes ma'am!"

"Then how about you become the Mishiki clan's information broker, You can still do your work as a normal information broker but under no circumstances can you sell information about us, but what you can do is alter information about us, giving them false information about the family."

"T-that's not a bad idea... But."

"If you're worried about your safety then I can assign Shou as your bodyguard or whatever, you seem to rely on him anyway and it might be a good learning experience for him as well since he only gets called when I ask his captain to gather his team."

'I could say that it wouldn't be necessary but that would only make them suspicious of me even more since I came back from the future. Although I can tell them the truth, there's a chance that they wouldn't believe me and think I'm crazy and even if they did, the information might leak so I can't just tell them that easily and I don't know what kind of connections the killer has' Shou thought to himself. 'In any case, I should continue training, even if I'm experienced, my body isn't because it's not what it used to be.'

"Well I can't really decline a good offer like that, can I?" Hana replied.

"Wise choice... Well, we'll be off then, and it seems like you two have visitors for quite some time while you two were on a date."

"Huh?"

Yumiko pointed out where Ryota and the others were hiding, stalking them.

"U-um It was nice meeting you!" Ryota and the others started running away.

"Those bastards... I'll teach them a lesson the next time I see them," Shou answered.

"Take care you two." Yumiko went on to walk away, waving without looking back and entering the backseat of her car. Toda slightly tilted his head down as they were leaving and rode on the driver's seat. Hana and Shou waved back as the car leaves.

'... For some reason, I feel that something is bothering me when I see that kid with someone else, don't tell me... No, that's not it. That can't be it.' Yumiko thought to herself.

"Shou."

"Y-yes?"

"You have a lot of explaining to do," Hana said with an irritated tone.

A cold ran down through Shou's spine.

The next day arrived, Shou and Hana managed to get home safely that night and had to get a scolding from Hana after Shou explained his predicament to her.

"Ugh, I'm still tired after Hana kept nagging me almost the whole night, Though the date seemed like a success," Shou said to himself after waking up.

"Tch, Guess I have classes today huh? Even though it's only been four days of work and doing chores, it felt like I haven't been to school in a while with all the things happening in my life so quickly..."

Shou arrived at school with a slight lack of sleep.

"Woah, Shou what happened to you? Have you been getting enough sleep?" Said Kayo.

"No."

"Damn, guess you two have been up at it all night huh?"

"It's not what you think."

"Doesn't look like it to me. Because I stubbled across Hana earlier at a cafe near the school and I went and greeted her and She seemed to be in a good mood and so I asked her what happened, and She said it was because of you."

"You got it all wrong." 'She's definitely happy because of the offer, Mishiki-oyabun gave her.'

"Aww, Don't be shy and just admit it already man, HAHAHA!"

"Whatever I can't even convince you anymore, I'm leaving you behind."

"Eh? W-wait up Shou! I was just kidding man."
