I Reincarnated as the Villainess So I Decided to Rule the World

The most beautiful and the most powerful woman in the world just sacrificed herself for another person? Ugh, if it was me I would've instead ruled the world! "Rule the world? Then show me what you can do." Eh? My journey in ruling the world seemed so easy, I would have gotten everything, money, talent, status, skill, this is a breeze! So... what happened? Unforeseen plots? Previously undeveloped character taking center stage? On top of it all, a contract marriage to the female lead's love interest? The whole "rule the world" idea just seemed so much farther away than I thought.

Move and I’ll Take It

After peacefully admiring the nightlife with a piece of bread in her hand, Gwen muttered, "We should probably head to your home, right?" As she took another mouthful and fully enjoyed the flavor.

Felix's strained voice could be barely heard from beneath Gwen, "Yep."

Gwen was currently resting on Felix's shoulders, letting her see higher and further than she would normally be able to. Side glances from the spectators showed their delight at them doing this with words such as 'cute' and 'adorable.'

"Well then? Go, on! Move, my sturdy steed! Onwards!" Gwen pointed forward with her right finger while clenching Felix's blonde hair with her left, the piece of bread was already in her mouth yet she could still speak normally.

Felix felt completely taken advantage of so in his displeasure he suddenly managed to get a bright idea. With both hands locked onto Gwen's legs, he immediately ran at full speed, going faster than he had ever gone before.

"Eh? Fellliiiixxxx!" Gwen's voice dragged on as the sheer speed at which Felix was running caught her off guard. Gwen's shriek was music to Felix's ears, never before had he heard something so beautiful. Gwen finally got a taste of her medicine and Felix was all for it.

Felix ran to and fro, dodging all the passersby as he speedily ran at full speed. With his Tier 4 Warrior abilities, he was physically stronger than the majority of people. Seeing that he couldn't fully unleash his physical abilities while having to make sure to dodge the citizens that were casually walking by the streets, he decided to jump up to the rooftops. This decision finally made the dangling piece of bread from Gwen's mouth to finally drop.

"Felix! Put me down, right now! Ahhhh!" Gwen felt the wind breezing past her face pass by her even harder than before, forcing her to close her eyes. By the time she opened them again, using her arms as the brace to block the wind that was blinding her, she finally saw another perspective that she had never seen before. "Woah."

There wasn't much lighting up here, causing Gwen to finally have a proper view of the night's sky for once. Even back in the Aria Estate, there were multiple factories and production sites that caused the atmosphere to dilute the sky's brightness. During the trip, No. 12 forced her to sleep inside the carriage, not even letting her outside even though it was safe. But now, she could finally see how colorful the stars were this time, the pure vastness of space filled with shining stars made Gwen feel free as if she could do anything.

Different from the view from Earth's sky, this fantasy world's sky was even more bright and colorful with massive clusters of light changing colors ever so often. Gwen didn't know why that was the case, but she did know one thing about them, "Beautiful."

As much as she wanted to view the night sky in peace, Felix was still running at immense speed. Gwen asked Felix to stop but he ignored her leaving her with no choice but to take drastic actions.

"Humph!" Gwen snapped her fingers as Felix's legs were intertwined with an unknown ethereal material, causing him to trip up. Gwen was propped up with the same unknown ethereal material and safely landed while Felix rolled around for a while before his instincts popped up and he stopped himself before he fell down.

"Gwen, you can't do-" Felix was about to complain when Gwen came up to him and put her finger on his lips causing him to be speechless. Her finger felt warm against the night's cold breeze.

"Shush, have you ever seen the skies be so bright before?" Felix was completely caught off guard as Gwen asked this with such a tone. He briefly looked up at the skies and admired them, in a way that he had never done before.

Felix snarkily said, "When Rachel lit up the skies when someone said it's too dark. Then she-"

Gwen took the Glimmering Dagger out of her waist and threatened him, "Do you want me to stab you?"

'The look in her eyes… she's serious!'

"Uh, I meant, yes, I mean no. No. That's my final answer."

Gwen sighed and dropped down right beside Felix, mumbling, "This reminds me of how we first met, right? Do you remember?" They ended up sitting side by side as a warm atmosphere appeared between them.

"Yeah, under the stars in your family's inner garden. We talked about everything about under the sun, er, moon. What about it?"

Gwen looked up at the skies and mysteriously said, "That was fun, then what would happen if the skies you were so used to suddenly changed?" Gwen's memories of a different night sky in a different world made her think about the what-ifs. What if she didn't transmigrate here, would she still be living as she did in the past?

Felix's reaction was quite questionable. He suddenly had numerous thoughts appear in his mind as if he wasn't here at all.

"I… think I would panic. That's a scary thought, right?" Felix his honest opinion which took him a while to arrive to.

Gwen weakly stared at the stars, "Panic… I guess that's the normal reaction."

'What's she trying to imply?'

"Gwen, what's wrong?"

Gwen rested her head on Felix's shoulder, "Nothing, I'm just having too much fun. I think I should start on my future."

Felix broke into laughter, causing Gwen to elbow him but due to her weak physique and Felix's strong body, he didn't feel it. "You're still young, what's so important that you can't take your time?"

Gwen had a serious tone, "World domination."

Felix laughed even harder, causing Gwen to blush in shame, "What's so funny?! I need to rule the world by the time I'm 30 or the whole world ends!"

"With how much of my talent you've taken from me, I think 30 years is 970 years too early."

"Rude! Then what do you propose I should do?"

Felix held a smug smile as he calmly said, "Maybe you should fall for me even harder." He then tapped the rainbow-colored tattoo on his neck, showing just how vibrant it still was.

"Well, maybe if you were actually cool, handsome, and awesome, I would've fallen for you. Have you ever thought of that? Yeah, that's what I thought." Gwen crossed her arms but still kept her head on his shoulders.

Felix dramatically raised one of his hands and clenched his chest with the other, "Oh, my lady. How your words hurt me! I cannot recover from this pain."

Gwen snickered and continued on to banter with Felix as the stars from up above gazed at them. The night's sky turned darker yet at the same time, shined brighter. The relationship between this purple-haired girl and the blonde boy turned sturdier than ever before. Yet for some reason, the black runes in Gwen's irises never shined any brighter. Instead, only the young maiden's smile widened even further than ever before which finally forced Felix to show a tinge of pink on his face.

He couldn't handle it anymore, despite him trying to keep his heart from beating any faster he finally failed and he stood up abruptly causing Gwen to land on the ground.

"Hey, what was that for? That was very rude, you know?" Gwen pouted as she remained on the floor, quite angry with how Felix reacted.

Felix looked away, trying to prevent Gwen from finding out how beet red he was, "We need to head back."

"Ugh, fine. On one condition."

Felix tried to keep his cool, "What is it this time, Gwen?"

"Carry me. I've been severely injured by you so it only makes sense that you help me out." Gwen said so blatantly that Felix was almost convinced that he was the one at fault. Despite how much he didn't want to do it anymore, knowing how stubborn Gwen could be, he gave in and carried her once more.

"If you speed up again, I'll take one of your kidneys. Alright, move!"

Felix could feel something sharp from behind, aiming for one of his kidneys.

'Is that… yeah, that's the Glimmering Dagger. She's not lying.'
