As Leon looked at the ceiling of his rented room a single question rang through his mind. 

"What the hell have I gotten myself into?" There was a reason why Leon was panicking and that reason was the job. 

If that man was a legacy Leon doubted that he could just run away with the money. But that wasn't even the worst part and it wasn't going through a place with dangerous monsters. 

No, the worst part was after the job. 

"I'm gonna die aren't I?" 

Replaying the conversation in his head he let out a chuckle "Particular set of skills? Ha, what a joke!"

The only set of skills that Leon had was stealing and cleaning. 

If Leon had to guess they would just kill him after the job was complete. Considering that he didn't have any family or friends or anyone close for that matter he was someone easily disposable.

"Guess I don't really have a choice" Leon looked at the note that was in the bag.

[Come to the docks in mid-day]

"Hm," Leon then turned his gaze to the money "Should I lose my virginity?"

[Next Morning]

The door swung open and Leon exited. With a sigh, Leon left the inn. Making his way near the dock Leon was following one guy. He was someone Leon stalked at the bar. 

After receiving the note Leon stalked the bar to see if he could get any information about the job. But what he found was something he could use.

When the town was made an ancient ruin was found. Turns out this place seemed to be run by pirates. They made this place a tourist attraction over the ruins but under was a black market.

After a bit a man looked around but he didn't seem to notice anyone. He then pressed something on the wall before the wall turned into a door. 

As it opened Leon peaked behind the wall before he opened the door like how the other man did. Walking through the dark cave Leon brought out the mask he bought for 15 pence.

Putting it on he then made it to a large cavern filled with glowing crystals. Ahead of Leon, there were many different shops with many different items.

Walking around Leon then found what he was looking for, a gun. 

In a shop, there were many guns lying there. Rifles, rocket launchers, and SMGs. Looking around Leon found a pistol. 

While Leon didn't have any experience shooting a gun, having it gave him some sort of confidence.

But what was a gun going to do to a legacy?

"You wanna buy it?" Jumping Leon saw a masked figure behind him. Remembering the question Leon nodded.

"2 crowns"

Leon's mouth twitched behind the mask. Without arguing he handed him the crowns. The figure then handed him a pouch of bullets. 

Leon didn't want to waste time negotiating as he also wanted to practise.

Grabbing the pouch Leon decided to leave. Once he made it out of the black market Leon made his way to the forest to practice his shooting skills.

The sun was high in the sky and Leon made his way to the dock. On the way, Leon bought some new clothes to hide his gun. The gun was his trump card if anything went array on the ship after all one bullet to the head would kill pretty much anyone unless they were a legacy. 

While walking Leon caught his reflection in the mirror. 

Leon was handsome with blue eyes and long black hair which was tied into a ponytail. Leon wanted to chop it off however, he didn't own any blades and there weren't any barber shops around here either.

Once he made it to the dock Leon spotted the same man who offered him the job "Ah mister Leon I'm glad you could make it"

While putting on a polite smile Leon still had his guard up.

'How does he know my name anyway?'

"Sorry if I am late uh mister…" Leon waited for the man to introduce himself. 

"Hartfield and no you are right on schedule" He gave Leon a polite smile while tipping his hat. 

While on the surface Leon was greeting him back internally he was cursing his shitty predicament. 

He of course could guess who this man was now. Considering his appearance and the secretiveness of this delivery he had to be Von Hartfield the servant of Duke Aldis. Duke Aldis was one of the most powerful legacies but he was also scary. 

But what was more scary was his servant, Von Hartfield. It was well-known how terrifying he could be hell Leon heard many rumors about him. 

One was the time when he cut the feet of some men who tried to rebel against the duke and made them watch their wives get raped and kids get eaten alive by ghouls. 

But if he indeed was 'that' Von Hartfield then Leon didn't have any choice unless he wanted to be castrated. 

After talking for a bit Leon noticed a small box being carried on the ship that some people were taking. However, Leon noticed something else "Forgive me if I am being intrusive but am I the only one that is going to be on the ship?" 

Hartfield laughed "Of course not your crew are already on the ship" 

"I see" After Leon heard this he became more cautious. 

"Well I'll be going on the ship," Leon said while walking away.

"Mr. Hartfield forgive me if I am being rude but why have you hired someone like that?" After Leon left someone appeared beside Hartfield. Wearing a cloak with a hood over their face but only half of it. 

"Pity," Hartfield said simply "I simply pity him that's all and besides if he survives I'll hire him,"

Hartfield from a glance could tell how clever the boy was. In fact, Leon had stolen a few items from one of his many shops. 

Hartfield only found this out with his legacy abilities however, he had to focus on Leon. The boy also knew how to survive in the underworld. 

Someone like that could be quite useful.

Once Leon made on to the ship he looked around. The ship wasn't big and it was also plain making it seem like an average cargo ship. 

Once Leon made it onto the deck he saw some gazes directed toward him. 

"Hey, who are you?" Turning Leon saw a girl blonde girl with an eye patch only leaving a blue eye to see. 

But from a single glance, Leon could tell something. 

She was a legacy.
