chapter 1: day of awakening

It's is the awakening day and everyone present were happy talking about the different classes they might awaken but someone seemed more occupied with sleep and that was Rex balvren who everyone knew as the most handsome boy in their set of students, but regarded as a weakling having little strength .

A few hundred thousand years ago , strange things started appearing on earth and one of the major things noticable was the appearance of portals which were known as dougen gates and each leads to a place known as a dougen which is stocked with beast and monsters , the appearance of this dougen's ignited the curiosity of the humans who found a way to tap resources from it and at the same time neglecting the consequences [if they even knew of one] later the seals on some of the dougen's broke lose causing a large scale monster invasion which forced man to scamper for their safety. New races also began to appear in earth and their appearance on earth brought about a one sided relief as they help fight against the monsters but at the same time almost turned the humans to slave's , this was one thing the humans couldn't bear forcing them to find a way to find a way to harness what other races called mana awakening a special inborn talent inside of them.

" Ok everyone get ready it's about to begin! " The class teacher announced forcing everyone to their seats , Mrs Darcy which is their class teacher could see their anticipation or rather call it nervous behavior of some of the students in her classroom but someone picked her attention rather quickly and that was Rex who's head was still resting on the desk even after hearing her announcement , she walked up to him and tapped his shoulder forcing him out of his dream state" are you feeling alright? " She asked looking at him scratching his eyes which were strangely odd having a silver colour as if he didn't an iris which made him different and stand out amongst everyone in the class.

" Yes, just tired from staying up late last night reading " Rex answered after his eyes already clear from the sleep looking at Mrs Darcy who had a smile on her face which made him feel uncomfortable for a while added to the angry gaze he got from the boys and sweet looks he got from the girl's present " ok , now that everyone is up and ready let's begin " Mrs Darcy said walking to her Desk before snapping her finger which caused some green crystal to appear above each and every one of the students in the class " these are known as awakening crystals which will help you open the pathway by which the mana will flow through releasing your talents which we all know as classes ....." Mrs Darcy explained giving a recap on the different classes of talent which include the knight , caster , tamer , assassin , farmer..... Among other classes .

As soon as it was over she explained about how to use it and it was quite easy to use ; one only needs to hold the crystal concentrating their consciousness into it and this will cause the crystal to envelope their bodies transforming them into their new selves

" Here goes nothing" Rex thought with a calm but deep breath holding onto the crystal but some reason he couldn't concentrate , maybe it was the fact that he had a sick little sister to take care of after their parents disappeared mysteriously without any trace or the fact that his side job Hanged on an unstable balance because his boss son's girlfriend had an eye for him , he was totally confused thinking about his life .

While all this is going on Rex didn't know that he was being covered gradually by the crystal forming a golden cacoon.
