Prologue

Colorful lights whizzed through the smoky air, the spells exploding in a rainbow of sparkles as they made contact with the undead horde. Shields clanged together and spears splintered inside the ribcages of the advancing skeletons. A small army struggled to hold its ground against the undying abominations marching forward.

"Argh! You stupid rat!" A cold voice cried out from the top of a broken tower overlooking the battlefield. It belonged to an imposing woman clad head to toe in jagged armor. A purple substance coated her breastplate, colorful smoke emanating from the viscous liquid.

Standing in her direct opposition was a slender raven-haired woman smiling from ear to ear. She aimed at her armored opponent with her fingers and fired as if they were guns. "Bang!"

The armored woman raised one of her eyebrows, not that her opponent could tell. "Bang? Really?-Ah!" The corrosive liquid began shedding her armor. Slabs of the tarnished metal dropped next to her feet.

The woman's snow-white skin became exposed with each falling piece. Her abs were rock solid, looking almost harder than the metal. Her large breasts spilled out, no longer contained by the broken chest piece.

"Hah, so much for your legendary armor! Looks like the Empress has no clothes," the raven-haired woman taunted, but her smile disappeared as she locked eyes with her enemy. "What? It's you?! But how? Why?!"

The helmet came off the pale woman's head. Her hair was silver, and her eyes were without pupils. She took a deep breath. "Long time no see, Min," she said with a sardonic smile. "You seem to be doing well, even managed to trick a band of losers into letting you follow them like a stray puppy."

"I tricked no one! You might not believe it, but I actually becam-"

"Became what? A real adventurer? A heroine? Please." The woman scoffed as she walked forward, the ground almost shaking with the clang of her steel boots. It was pretty much the only garment that survived the acid.

"Y-yes! That's exactly right," Min replied, taking shaky steps back.

The pale woman chuckled. "You are nothing but a joke, Min. A joke that overstayed its welcome."

"M-maybe, but this joke just destroyed your invulnerable armor! Y-you are going down!"

The woman opened her fist, purple fire burning in the palm of her hand. "I never said my armor was indestructible, but I am. You didn't accomplish anything. Goodbye, Min. Can't say it's been a pleasure, but you were good for a few laughs."

"Aah!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"W-what happened?"

Min opened her eyes. Or at least, she thought she did. It was hard to tell. Everything was pitch black. There was no ground under her feet, no distant rumble of cars rolling on the city streets. There was nothing.

"…Am I dead?"

"As if you don't already know." Suddenly, a sound. A voice, dignified and somewhat cold. Faint light appeared in the void. There was another woman with Min, her body glowing like the pale moon.

The woman's eyes were white as snow, with no pupils, and her silver hair was almost as long as her body. She wore a regal dress with nary a wrinkle on it.

Was she an angel or a reaper coming to claim Min's soul? She hoped not. The woman looked creepy. Huh… If she was a spirit of some sort, was Min really dead? What happened? How did she die?

"What were you thinking making toast in the bath?!" the woman asked.

Ah, yes. Min began to remember. It was the end of a long day after an even longer week. She returned home exhausted and hungry, so, she had the brilliant idea of combining a relaxing bath with a delicious dinner. In retrospect, not her brightest moment.

"That's the dumbest death I've seen so far. I would be embarrassed to read your obituary."

"Hey, get off my back! Try working ten hours without lunch and see how smart you are when you get home." Min paused. "But I guess that doesn't matter anymore. ..Am I really dead?"

"Not quite. I can give you a chance to return to your life. But, first, you will have to do something for me. I will send you into this medieval wor-"

"Wait, I know where this is going... Yes! YES!" Min was so excited that she somehow found a way to float toward the mysterious woman. She shoved her smiling face next to hers. "I accept, go ahead and reincarnate me."

"You …accept? But I haven't even explained-"

"Explain what? That you are giving me a chance to live in a fantasy world where I can be someone important? Like a famous adventurer or super-powered sorceress?"

"Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself? I haven't even told you who I am."

"Who cares? You are the goddess that's going to revive me. Less blabbering, more magical adventure."

"Goddess? Err, sure." The woman touched her long, silver mane to ensure that her horns remained concealed. This mortal was more annoying than she expected. Maybe she should move to the next one…

"Chop, chop. You might have all day, but I want to start my legend now!" Min demanded with a tug of the woman's impeccable sleeve. The garment wrinkled ever so imperceptibly, and the "goddess" frowned. That was the first crinkle her dress had in centuries.

"Tell me, what's my gift? Do I get magical powers? OP stats? Unique skills?"

"Why would I give you...? You know what? Sure. Hocus pocus, you now have supernatural abilities." The "goddess" waggled her fingers sarcastically. Min felt different. Empowered. Strong.

"Great! Say goodbye to Min, the weak little nerd everyone ignores, and say hi to Min, the legendary heroine!" Min declared proudly to her grand audience of one.

"Wow, you are really into this, aren't you? Let me throw you another gift to help you grow your reputation, a passive ability. Everyone will know that you are a Legendary Heroine just by meeting you. That should make things... more interesting."

"Great!" Min flaunted the "goddess" with the biggest smile the immortal had seen in millennia. "What are my other gifts?"

"You'll have to find out yourself. Goodbye!"

The void disappeared, replaced by a somewhat familiar, somewhat alien blue sky. Prickly grass tickled Min's feet, and the breeze smelled of freshly baked bread.

Min found herself in front of a windmill. Fields of golden wheat stretched around her with busy peasants tending to their crops. A wooden palisade on the horizon denoted the presence of a town.

"So, I'm in a Western fantasy world, huh? I bet it's filled with dragons, dwarves, and even elves!" Min giggled. She didn't know what the goddess wanted her to do, but she might as well get the ball rolling. "Now, how do I start my adventure?"

"Ahh! A pervert!" a peasant girl cried out in front of Min. She could understand the local language. That was a good start.

"All right Min, here we go. The start of your legend! Let's make a good first impression by apprehending this pervert!" Min glanced around, but she only saw regular peasants giving her the stink eye. Where was this deviant?

Min put her hands on her hips and felt her fingers press against her tender skin. Oh no…

Her hands kept moving upward to confirm her suspicion. Min didn't dare look down, even as she squeezed her bare breasts.

"T-this has to be a nightmare, right?" Min mumbled to herself, cold sweat running down her forehead. She closed her eyes. "Yeah, of course. How could I be reincarnated into another world? That's nonsense! I'll pinch myself, wake up in my bed and-Ow!"

Min opened her eyes. She was still getting glared at by a disgusted farmhand, the gentle breeze caressing every inch of her goosebumps-covered skin.

This wasn't a nightmare after all. She reincarnated just like she died, buck naked. Which meant… she was the pervert the peasants were talking about.

"… Eeeeeeeeeeep!"
