Chp 6 Determination.

*Kaori POV*

"Hey hey, it's okay, isn't it? Come have some tea with us"

Said one of the people surrounding me at this moment,

I was honestly frightened out of my mind right now and my whole body was shaking from fear and nervousness, and I was remembering about the arguments I had with my father about not wanting bodyguards around myself because I wanted to live a normal life but now I was coming to regret this decision,

I didn't know how I suddenly got into this situation, I was going back home from the convenience store and these men were going in a different direction but they suddenly turned towards me after looking at me and surrounded me,

"I already said no, I've refused you so many times already!, Please just let me go!"

I replied a little loudly trying to get help from people passing,

It had been 5 minutes since the moment they surrounded me and they were constantly harassing and trying to get close to me ignoring my pleading,

"Don't say that, darling'~"

said one of the people in the group trying to grab onto me,

I was constantly trying to get away from them even though they had completely surrounded me into a corner, I looked around for the people passing by in the nearby surrounding for help but all them just ignored looking at this direction or avoided eye contact pretending not to see or hear me, I was thinking about a way to get out when suddenly one of them grabbed my arm and tried pulling me,

"Hey, come on let's just go"

He said suddenly grabbing my arm and staring at me, I deflected his arm quickly and got it out of his hands but he closed the distance in between again,

"It's okay, nothing bad is gonna happen"

he said grabbing my arm forcefully once again,

"I don't want to! Let me go please"

I yelled loudly and pleaded again trying to get away or get them to let me leave, but this just caused a creepy expression to appear on their faces,

"Excuse me"

came the voice of a person from behind the group surrounding me calling them out and getting their attention,

I got out a little distance away from the corner where the group were standing while they were distracted, and seeing this the group quickly surrounded the person who spoke just now instead, I walked towards a different direction from them to see the person who helped me just now,

Then I saw a person wearing a dust mask on his face now surrounded by the group,

Then after surrounding him, one from the group suddenly yelled looking at him,

"What is it, fat-ass? Do you have businesses with us or something? Huh?!"

I was honestly stunned for a moment after hearing that, I mean how exactly did he look any 'fat' to him,

Ignoring the group and maintaining my distance from them I looked at the person surrounded by them, but I couldn't figure out his expression clearly because of the mask but looked triggered at the comment,

"No, but I don't think the girl wants to go with any of you though"

He said in deep voice looking at the group mockingly, I was personally feeling grateful to him for stopping them, I can't even bear to imagine what would have possibly happened to me today if he hadn't intervened,

While I was distracted thinking that it looked like thankfully someone from the people passing by before had informed the police,

I was really thankful for whoever the person was, and soon in a few moments they all ran away while the person who saved me was still standing there in his own thoughts,

I decided to then go ask if he was okay,

"Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere maybe, I can call the ambulance right away if you want...!"

I asked while shaking, I was still frightened at the moment from the incident and the people, but even so I was also worried about the person who saved me, 'I mean he helped while everyone else was ignoring it, so I wouldn't want something to happen to him just because of me, so I asked him to check in case he was feeling hurt or got injured somewhere',

"It-it's okay, it's okay... I am alright, I am completely fine... I don't need an ambulance..."

He replied a little awkwardly while trying to assure me,

"B-but.."

"No, really it's okay, you can calm down, I am completely fine and unscathed right now, look the police are here"

He replied again trying to reassure me, while maintaining distance seeing my frightened expression, even though it was assuring I was still worried about him, 'What If he got a hidden injury or internal bleeding suddenly because of the fight and didn't notice it clearly',

I questioned myself thinking, So I decided to once again ask him in case he felt any sudden discomfort in his body anywhere,

"B-but..."

"It's really okay now....rather than that, you were the one getting harassed just now, weren't you? Please be more careful from now on"

He replied before I could finish my question, He had a gentle expression and unwavering kindness in his eyes, which calmed me down a little bit somehow,

"We just got a report..." replied the police officers arriving,

"Ah, I was surrounded by a group of men, and this person here helped when I was in trouble!..."

I explained to the police officers arriving clearly, to not cause any misunderstanding, then they asked me some questions about the group and other stuff, etc and said they would drop me off if I wanted to, which I accepted as I didn't want to go through another incident like this once again,

I had decided to tell my father about everything that happened today and also ask him to help repay the person who helped me,

As I was thinking about that, I suddenly remembered I still haven't thanked him even once yet, thinking that I turned towards him again,

"Thank you for your help this time!"

I thanked while abruptly walking in front of him,

"Huh? Ah, no, don't worry about it...I couldn't have just let it happen and leave, after all, anyone in my place would have done the same"

He replied with the same kind expression as before,

"That's not true at all!, In fact, you were the only one who even tried saving me while everyone else around was ignoring it, Thank you very much for that, I'll be sure to repay you for this"

I replied to him with a determined expression,

"Please don't mind it... Well then, I'll take my leave"

He replied abruptly cutting off the conversation and awkwardly taking his leave, I was stunned for a while honestly but I wouldn't just follow after him after he said that, So I just walked back towards the female officers waiting and left together with them,
