A New Hope

Among my listeners, there was a certain girl called Natri.

She was one of the few who were searching for me everywhere after I disappeared, or so I was told.

It was my luck to meet her outside the village at that time, riding a cat.

The 10 points I got there are not for nothing it seems.

I had not the heart to tell her that many of the giants got probably killed, and so told her that we are now part of a story which everyone in the future will know.

How one man got confused and let the goblins in the town.

How we must search for a cure to his madness outside of the village.

Yeah.

It's just that the real cure is probably a really bloody solution.

It's the first time I got really angry after coming here and suddenly was being asked by Natri why I have this kind of face now.

"His madness is trying to influence me. It can mainly do something only to small beings, like me, or children like you, and so that is why we can't return to the town for now."

She smiled really sweetly at me at that time and then took a worrying look at me few times during the day.

The good news is that there are seemingly no pursuers and she naturally knew how to survive by herself.

So no hunting for me. I still wouldn't be able to catch any foxes anyway.

With my new <Coldness resistance (level 3)>, I actually had no problem enduring the night, while also being almost glued to the cat.

I like to call those monsters cats, like they do, okay?

When she asked me in the morning for directions, I almost threw up the meat I had in my mouth.

Then, I randomly pointed at one star further in our direction, gave it a name <New Hope> and explained how it will lead us to the cure.

She is really naive, but I don't think that's necessary a bad thing.

It helped her to make the awesome decision of not going back to the town.

Perhaps my luck is leading us, and so after a few nights, when I got another level-up for completing the quest of getting her to safety, I assigned the points to it, raising it to 13.
