Conrad idly scanned through the many system notifications he received while lying down in Jane's car, the woman in question still on top of him, arms wrapped around his chest. 

"Stat point huh?" He said out loud, a bad habit he seemed to be developing. 

"Hmm?" Jane looked up at him. "What was that?" 

"Ah don't worry about it," he gave her head a pat, rubbing his hands through her hair. Jane merely shrugged, going back to resting her head on his chest as if she had nothing else to do. 

"What should I even use it on?" Conrad wondered as he looked at his status page.

"Basically is better than absolute trash I guess.." Conrad drawlled at the system's horrible impression of him, though ranking up from noob to beginner was a plus. "Charisma has already gone up 0.1 since last I checked, but if i'm being real it's probably the most important stat for me right now. Unless constitution lets me last longer in bed or something.." 

Still he decided to put the point into charisma, his stat now moving up to 2.4. "What changed?" He wondered as he tried to feel for any difference, however only coming up short. 

"Hey Jane." 

"Yes?" She looked up at him. 

"Do I feel any.. Different than a few moments ago?" 

"Umm.." she looked him up and down with an appraising eye. "Other than how I feel about you I don't think anything has changed." Her hand reached up and caressed his cheek. "Although for some reason you look.. More handsome. Like your skin has a faint glow.." 

"Really huh?" Conrad reached up and pulled down the car's sun visor before popping open its small mirror. His skin did look more smooth, although he couldn't see this faint glow that Jane had talked about. "Still, I guess you're right." 

"Anyway." He gave Jane's back a light tap. "While I wouldn't mind staying in here forever, don't you need to get back to work?" 

"Do we really need to though?" Jane complained, but still climbed off Conrad's chest and back into the driver's seat. 

"Was it not you not even an hour ago that said, 'I can't exactly be out of the office for too long you know'?" 

"I mean yeah.." Jane's eyes darted about, clearly embarrassed about being called out. "But I can change my mind, can't I?" 

"I gues-" Conrad was about to relent, having no reason to say no to staying here with Jane. But before he could a system window popped up, completely different from what he had ever seen before.

"What the fuck is this!?" Conrad jumped forward in his seat. 

"What's wrong?" Jane looked over at him worried, his loud sudden outburst giving her a large fright. 

"The CEO is here." 

"What!" Jane jumped up alarmed "Here!? Now!?" 

"I'm not sure, she's either here now or will be soon." Conrad said and Jane rushed out of the car, fixing up her clothes as best she could. 

"We need to hurry," Jane was alarmed as she started speed walking across the parking lot, checking her phone for any news. "She's almost here, we have 10 minutes to make it to the lobby for presentation." 

"Presentation?" Conrad questioned as he kept pace behind her. "What's that?"

"You've never been here when the CEO comes by?" Jane questioned, looking back at him with a raised eyebrow. "That'd explain why you're acting all nonchalant then, wherever the CEO shows up the whole building gets rearranged. Everyone needs to gather in the lobby for presentation, although it's more just a welcome than anything though, we just stand by while she shakes hands with the higher ups before moving to one of the conference rooms on the top floor." 

"So we just need to stand still and look pretty?" Conrad mused. "Sounds easy enough." 

"Yeah that part is easy, it's what comes after that's the problem. I don't know why she's here but it's never easy or straightforward whenever she shows up." 

"Who knows, maybe you'll get a promotion." 

"Don't be silly," the two made their way into the building, climbing up a set of stairs from the underground parking lot to the main entrance of the office building. It was completely jam packed with people, lined up in two groups on either side of the main walkway. "Do you see our department?" 

"Over there," Conrad easily spotted Taylor's familiar tan suit and pointed out the direction. Although the system window above her head helped out some. 

"Good eyes." She complimented. "Let's head over then." Jane grabbed his hand and dragged him through the crowd to stand together with the rest of the workers from their marketing department.
