Rhett Wolfestern’s POV

Taking the first paper I started:

"This right here is Marquel Amos…"

"How did I miss Mark?" she mumbled.

"So you know him? We can skip this?" I questioned, hoping we could skip some more.

"No sorry continue."

So I continued.

"Marquel is the son of Kolington Amos and Hana Amos. Kolington is the CEO of Wetext Hana on the other hand…"

She grabbed onto me with both of her hands squeezing my wrists. I looked in Arthemia's eyes. She looked drowsy, the strength of her grip began to be looser and looser until she fell on the ground. I collapsed after her.

"Arthemia is everything ok?" I asked as I shook her lifeless body.

She was not responding, the pulse was still there but really faint and she was breathing heavily. I grabbed her and ran to Peur to drive us to the hospital. She was extremely light.

When Peur ran to the entrance as I was screaming for him to do I quickly explained that we have to rush to the hospital, thankfully he didn't question me and just drove us there.

When we arrived the doctors took her in and told us to wait in the waiting room. While we did that I explained what happened to Peur.

"Did you know she has been eating only breakfast for as long as she'd been here she even skipped it today to study? I brought her the food but I guess she just got way too involved and forgot to eat."

My eyes widened. He was right. I haven't seen her eat lunch or dinner and for breakfast she only drank her coffee and ate an omelet. I took out my phone and started calling Margaret frantically. I wanted to know why she didn't inform me about Anthemia's eating habits.

"Where are you?" she asked concern in her voice.

"At the fucking hospital. The better question here is why you didn't tell me Arthemia wasn't eating?"

"She got into the hospital… That's tragic. I-I didn't know it was this serious. She has eaten breakfast and didn't eat only for a couple of days. I confronted her about it but she said she was fine and that she wasn't hungry."

"Well she's in the hospital now doctors said she should wake up until morning so I'll wait for her and send Peur to sleep. We'll talk when I get back."

She didn't say anything. I wouldn't have too in her place. I sent Peur back home even though he tried to refuse. I didn't want more people suffering because of her.

I called up Arthemia's parents and informed them about what happened, they arrived shortly after.

"Did she cause any trouble? She's used to overreacting for no reason?" her father revoked as soon as he saw me.

I assured them that I was fine and that she's in the patient's room, they aren't letting anyone in. They just sighed and sat down beside me, not engaging in more conversation. I felt a strange feeling about them, as if I shouldn't have called. They were sitting in silence and didn't look nervous at all… but minute after minute they grew inpatient to talk to her, calling the doctors multiple times and receiving the same answer.

"How long will we have to wait here?" Antonio shot a look at me "You should have just left her home, she would have slept it all off, and now we have to wait for her here instead of sleeping."

I clenched my teeth. How could they speak so poorly when their child is in the hospital, passed out? I didn't like her. She was clearly a pain in the ass, but no one deserved to be treated like that while they're in the hospital. I couldn't contain my emotions.

"No one made you come here. I just called to inform you. I will be staying until she wakes up, just leave."

Not even a word, they just stood up and left. I heard the father complaining some more as he was walking away but I didn't care.

Soon enough the doctors called me in saying she should wake up in a few minutes. I sat by her bed, my heart pounding out of my chest, I was biting my bottom lip when I saw Arthemia's eyes open. I grabbed onto her hand with my sweaty palms.

"How are you feeling?"

She shook off my hand and tried standing up, but the cord from some machine was not letting her do so. As she saw it her eyes widened she started gasping for air, then those eyes looked at me. She was frightened. The girl grabbed onto her face to close her mouth and noticed two tubes in her nose, she tried pulling them out. I grabbed her arms and made her look at me, her eyes started to water; she stopped resisting and just fell back on the bed. I called the doctors to check up on her. When they left, she gazed at me with red eyes and asked:

"What happened? Why am I here and for how long?"

I had no idea what to tell her. The doctors so far haven't been communicating much, just told me that she has not been eating and drinking at all, so her body shut off.

"I… hmmm I-I can't be here for long, please." She begged.

"I don't know yet." I stopped and looked at her again. "I haven't heard from the doctors, but I guess you will be staying here for more than a day." As soon as she heard me she stood up on her bed, nearly ripping the tubes around her. I sat her down.

"I'll do anything please…" she continued. "I will… I'll." Her eyes were rushing around the room to find something. I put my hand on her shoulder.

"It's not my decision to make."

She was looking down, defeated, I was seeing her quite often like this, I started to feel bad for her, and she's my guest none the less.

"I'll go talk to them ok? You'll just have to promise to sit tight and not move or remove anything." As I was saying that I looked down on her arm where the needle was placed to inject her with medicine, she was scratching it, profusely probably not even noticing it.

She couldn't be left alone. I sighed and pressed the emergency button to call the nurse. When she came I explained the situation and asked to sit with Arthemia for a minute until I spoke with the doctor.

"I'm here to talk about Arthemia." I said walking into the doctor's empty office, he was drinking coffee and looking at his phone. He wasn't expecting me, but kept the calm and slowly put down the mug.

"Man, I couldn't care less about your little girlfriend, I'll tell you about it when it's time. Now would you leave, I have to finish the video." He shoved his hand signaling for me to leave. I closed the door and started moving closer to him.

"Look all I want to know if she can leave and if so we will."

"Fella,…" the doctor wasn't having it. He tried standing up but looking up he saw me already inches apart from him he plopped back on the chair. He opened his mouth to say something but since I was still moving closer he shut it.

"You really don't want to know what happens if you wait a tad bit longer." I whispered into his ear.

The doctor's hands started to shake as he tried to find Arthemia's papers. He laughed nervously looking at me gesturing at the paper he had found. On the way to the patience room he explained that Arthemia passed out because of water and food deficiency and that she couldn't leave. I asked multiple times, but the man said she needs the feeding tubes. I knew a doctor that could come and look out for her so I just waived a bunch of cash in his face and we both agreed that she could leave.

"Not right now, she still needs a couple checkups and by noon you should be good."

I walked in and found Arthemia sleeping, the nurse told me that she needed sleep but couldn't because of the shock or being scared so they gave her some pills. The checkups could still be done so I left her at the care of professionals and called up one myself.
