Back at Nathan's apartment, I went straight to the bedroom and laid down on the bed. I was too exhausted to do anything else, so I closed my eyes until I went into a deep slumber.
I knew I was still sleeping but the dream seemed so real that I almost believed it. When I woke up, I was covered in sweat and heaving heavily. The room was covered in darkness and I was still alone.
"It was just a dream," I mumbled to myself as I looked around the room and wondered what time it was. It had been a while since I had a dream like that, but I was not concerned. I had to move on from my past so there was no reason for me to be haunted anymore.
I tried to recall the dream, but it was one of those dreams that no matter how much I pressed my mind, I just could not remember. But it lingered on my subconsciousness knowing that it was not a pleasant one.
