Chapter 3: Power boost from the start?

It was a moment of relief, a moment where I vented all of my emotions in order to feel a little bit better.

After that I gathered my resolve as I stood up again examining my surroundings, and I found myself next to a huge lake. It was so clean that I could see the sand through and some kind of finshes swiming, a specie I never ever saw in my life. The water wasa so clean as if there was no water at all. "Wow! It looks so beautiful. So this is a world without technology to destroy it."

I walked sinking my feet to my ankles in the water and kept looking down in the water until I could see my face reflection. "Damn, I really look like the guy I created. I guess im gonna get some nice bitches with this face and..." Looking down on my strong and attractive body, I continued. "And with this body, life is going to be a lot easier.

After observing my body for a while, I walked out of the lake. And as I was about to complain about feeling cold, a weird phone notification like sound suddenly ringed in my head.

[Ding! Your system has been activated! System adapting to host's preferences...]

'Is that the system I choose from that mail?' Once again, the system started speaking.

[Adaptation completed! Hello Nouflex, your system is ready to go! Check your mail, you have three unread messages!]

"Message? How can I access them? Should I just think about it maybe?" As I wished to look at my messages, a panel appeared in front of me with three unread messages.

I started with the first one at the top, I clicked on it and I started reading the text. "Taking in consideration your preferences, here are clothes perfectly tailored for you to start your journey."

The moment I read the message, it disappeared as clothes appeared on my body, it felt warm and very good on my body but, looking down to see what I was wearing I was so surprised that I almost burst out laughing, reminding me of a certain anime character who was reincarnated in a fantasy world with a useless goddess.

I was wearing a gray nike's sports wear combination with white airforces, in my left wrist a white ice watch full of diamonds. And finally in my right hand is a white blindfold resembling that of Satoru Gojo, not the bandages one, the black one.

"You can't be serious... Making me wear nikes in a fantasy world. Well it's better than nothing."

"Anyways, let's see the other two. Their color is continuously changing, maybe it's something important." I clicked on the first one once again and I started reading loudly not caring about anything. Not because I was the only one in this forest, but because I do not care anymore. Im in a completely new world with a new body and a new start. Do you think I would care about other people's opinions? Fuck people! They betrayed me before I don't care anymore.

"Starting in a world much stronger than your previous one, countries had nuclear weapons in your world? Well they are not worth a dime here! Mages and warriors are nuclear weapons themselves, in order to survive, and following your preferences from the quiz, you have been granted the system ability to summon anime characters into this world to serve you! "Wait, what! I can summon anime characters?" I shouted while taking a step back as I heard my voice echo deep into the forest.

[Yes host! This is based on your answers and choices from the quiz. Now you can summon anime characters as your subordinates!]

"Okay but hold on, I have tons of questions to ask! The people I summon have free wills or are they loyal to me? Because imagine if I summon Pain from Naruto and he starts giving speeches on how painful his life was destroying everything around, killing me in the process?" I started with the first question I had in mind.

[Do not worry host, all the characters summoned by the system respect and are 100% loyal to the host. You can order them to kill themselves and they won't even hesitate!]

Feeling a lot better with this revelation, I proceeded. "Now this is reassuring, but I have another question. What did you mean by A rank summon? Are the summon ranked based on something? Strength maybe? And what is the full ranking list?"

[Great question host! The summoning system indeed has a ranking system, it goes from D rank being an average human or maybe even useless, to SSS being the epitome of strength, being that can destroy worlds and universes easily, Saitama for example, or even Zeno. To give host an estimation, you are now considered as the lowest of C rank since you are at the level of a top athlete from your previous world. In your previous world, when you were healthy you were at the top of D rank, and when you had cancer you became the lowest of D rank]

"Okay great, now I still have one question in mind." I sat on the grass blades folding my legs in a yoga like position while supporting my weight with my arms on the ground behind my back. I was so excited and I wanted to sit a little bit.

[You can ask me Nouflex, I will answer all of your questions.] The system replied.

"You mentioned again that I had an A RANK SUMMON right? Does this mean It is a guaranteed A RANK?" I asked with a big smile on my face.

[If you have an A rank summon, this means there is a chance you get a A or B or C or D rank summon, with a higher chance of it being A!]

"Perfect, this answers all of my questions, I want you to open the A rank summon for me!" The moment I said, a bright light suddenly appeared in front of me, it was so strong that I almost had to cover my eyes. 

The light started losing its brightness as it began forming in a humanoid shape, and within a few seconds the light finally extinguished and a human was standing in front of me.

It was a tall and lean young man with brown hair, brown yellow eyes. He is wearing a standard school uniform. As for his expressions, if I could describe them in one word I would say... Bored

"Is that..." As I was about to say the guy's name since I recognized him immediately, a small transparent panel appeared in front of me.

"Nouflex-sama! Im here to serve you." He immediately bowed his head as he kneeled down.

'Nouflex-sama? Should I tell him to call me boss or is it okay? Ugh never mind' Gathering my resolve, I said.

"You can stand up. I will call you Koji is that alright?" I asked, folding my arms under my chest after I stood up from the ground a well, looking down at him since Im a little bit taller than him.

"Yes, you call me whatever you want." He replied with the same bored expressionless face.

"Perfect, can you tell me how old are you first?" He seems to be a little bit older than his freshman year.

"Im 17 years old." He replied.

'So he should be in his second year. He must be at the top C rank since he is basically the perfect human being. Also all of his experience... Now I got to ask him a few things, I know it is suspicious but I got to make sure...' Looking directly into his eyes devoid from emotions, I asked.

"Do you remember the white room? How about Horikita Suzune?" I asked with a wry awkward smile.

"White room? Horikita? Im afraid I dont know what you are talking about Nouflex-sama." He seemed to be confused by my question by his voice, yet his expressions remained indifferent.

'Oh so summons gets brain washed, he seems to have lost his memories. He doesn't remember anything. But what about his fighting skills and intellect? Did he forget them too? If that is the case, then he is basically useless.' As I was lost in thoughts, the system brought me back to reality and cleared my confusions.

[It is as you said host, the summons lose their memories but keep their experiences and abilities to not create confusion and guarantee that they will never betray the host.]

'Humm, that makes sense then.' I placed my fingers on my chin as I nodded my head in understanding.

"Perfect, Koji you will protect me from now on okay?" It's true that I have a system now and that I'm at the level of a top level athlete thanks to my new race, but this word is a fantasy world. Anything can be expected.

"Okay, I'll make sure that you are safe even if it means my life. Rest reassured." He nodded his head while replying.

"Perfect! But now I don't know where we are. Do you think you can take us to a city or somewhere with humans?" I asked.

When I said that, a new panel appeared in front of me.

'Oh this must be the missions system I had asked for, this will help me grow a lot and be able to defend myself later. Not just depend on my summons, maybe someday I'll even become stronger than them who knows.' I thought with my fingers on my chin.

While I had this though, Ayanokoji looked left and right as if to see where we were situated. He noticed the big lake next to us and started at it until he found a water stream leaving the lake towards a certain direction. He followed that direction with his head then looked up.

"We should follow that water stream. There is smoke in that direction, so a city or town must be in that there." He said pointing his finger at the location where the smoke is visible.

"Great, as expected of you Koji. Let's get going then... Oh I almost forgot, I still have an unread message." He seemed to ignore my praise to him, or was it just his indifferent expression? I have no idea to be honest.

Anyways I opened the panel again then clicked on the multi color message as I started reading out loud. "Going to a fantasy world where some humans can kill dragons barehanded without a super power is like asking for dead! Here is a starter gift from yours truly, The System!"

[Random A rank ability]

Seeing this I got really excited, first of all having a anime super power is something I could only wish for, and now it's going to become a reality! And on top of that if Ayanokoji who is the top of human abilities was C rank, what should I expect from an A rank ability? It should be something great!

[It's good that you assumed it host, but I will still explain it. Unlike the summons, if you win a A rank summon, it is guaranteed that it will be A rank, nothing less, nothing more. But note that the ranks range is very wide, it can be close to a B rank, or close to a S rank, or maybe even an average A rank!] The system explained to me.

"I see, so two abilities from the same rank can have such a big difference in power. Cool, it makes things even more interesting! In that case i'm ready, Open the A rank ability gift!" When I said that, the panel completely disappeared, instead, a brand new one appeared, a completely blank one.

Then random sentences things started being written and changing very quickly for 5 seconds then it started to slow down as it eventually ended up finally stopping completely and it settled on something completely crazy.

"WHAAAAT! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! THAT'S SO FUCKING GOOD!!" I started running in small circles lifting both my arms up while Ayanokoji simply looked at me with his indifferent expression, then he lifted both his hands as he started clapping slowly, as if he was forced to.

"Congratulations Nouflex-sama, I'm happy for you." He coldly replied.

'What are talking about Koji, you don't even know what im happy about. What if I had just gone crazy' I though having a wry awkward smile looking at him.

*Sigh*

Looking back at the panel and reading it's content, the smile got wide once again. After all what it said was...
