– Making Choices

He looked at the third option. 'Misfits... I would miss out on impossibly hot anime ladies. Sure there are some cute girls, but there is no way girls portrayed by actresses could ever live up to the fantasy ones in comic and manga worlds. However it is the only one that actually has something to offer. I would just need to manage to get into community service at the time the storm is going to happen and bam free super power. Even if this whole thing is a delusion at least it would be a fun delusion of having super powers,' he thought making up his mind.

"I choose Misfits," he said and the system seemed to response highlighting the option before they all faded away.

[Selection confirmed.]

[Setting preliminary parameters for the simulation.]

[Generating perk options...]

[Perks generated. Please make your selection.]

[Sense of Humour](White)

[Healthy Physique](Green)

[Tongue Twister](Grey)

"Why are the options coloured?" he asked.

[They are graded by rarity which is dependent on how powerful the perk is. Their rarities are as followes: Poor (Grey), Common (White), Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), Legendary (Orange), Heirloom (Gold)]

"That helps. What the hell is tongue twister supposed to be?" he asked.

[Tongue Twister](Grey)

[Capable of twisting your tongue.]

'Wow, no wonder it's grey. That's a really trash ability. I'll definitely skip on that one. Sense of humour is slightly less useful, but being healthy so I can live longer is by far the best option,' he thought.

"Then I'll pick healthy physique, " Chris said.

[Selection confirmed.]

[As first time bonus upgrading selected perk by two grades.]

[Healthy Physique(Green) -> Peak Physique(Purple)]

"What does that do?" he asked curiously.

[Peak Physique](Purple)

[Your physique is at the peak of what is naturally possible for your species in every way possible.]

'Wow, though it can't stand up to the superpowers this would guarantee a good run at least until the superpowers appear. That's a relief. After that it'll be more of a matter of luck depending on what kind of superpower is gained. If I can at least get a power though that would already be a win in my book,' he thought.

[Do you wish to make any changes to your starting point?]

"I want to fix the date of birth at 19 years before the canon of the show starts." Chris said. That way he wouldn't be too young or old by the time the canon starts and powers are granted or worse what if he was reincarnated and died before or after the storm happened entirely. He also suspected he would be able to gain more points if he had a longer time to use the power so being younger when canon started would be best to improve his chances at a good score.

[Fixing the date of birth would usually cost 25 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

"As for location of course I want to grow up in or near the Wertham borough of London, can't have myself end up on the other side of the world and miss out on getting powers ruining all the effort," he continued.

[Fixing the location would usually cost 50 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

'Since all the points spent are getting waived for my first simulation let's really make the most of it," Chris thought.

"I want to be reincarnated in a happily married upper middle class family. Due to the perk I don't need to worry about about his health. While we're at it might as well make him tall and handsome too," he said trying to give his simulated self as many starting benefits as he could while they were free. Every little bit helped and he would be judged on how well the simulated him performed.

He could have set his level of wealth higher, but at a certain level of wealth things would becomes less convenient for him to join the original crew at community service rather than more. Do you think a super wealthy loving family would allow their son to end up going to community service? So upper middle class it was.

[Fixing the family of origin to happily married would usually cost 75 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

[Fixing the family of origin to upper middle class would usually cost 50 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

[Fixing appearance to tall would usually cost 75 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

[Fixing appearance to handsome would usually cost 50 simulation points. Waived as first simulation bonus.]

"Oh. Oh! And give him a big dick!" he suddenly decided.

[...]

"What?" Chris asked.

Chris coughed awkwardly. "Make it 8 inches long and 6 inches around," he said quietly. It was embarrassing to say, but if he was getting everything for free this round why not make the most of it?

(A/N: 20.3 cm and 15.2 cm respectively for those outside the US)

[Fixing penis size would usually cost 25 simulation points... Waived as first simulation bonus.]

'Wow even with the 100 starting points I got and receiving 10 extra points daily it would still have taken me 30 days to gather the points necessary for this run. And that's if I ignore the upgraded perk I got as a bonus,' he thought. At least the system was kind enough to help him out so much for his first run. He had thought 100 points was a lot, but apparently it wouldn't have afforded him all that much. Just setting a time and place would have eaten up almost the entire starting balance.

He really hoped his simulated self did a good job, because he was fairly certain he wouldn't be getting any help for a second run if the first one went bad. Part of him was getting a bit excited. After he was transferred to the void to run the simulation it felt like either this was really happening or he wasn't just delusional, but having an entire psychic break with reality. He was really hoping it was the former.

[Good luck. Simulation starting.]
