Living the Dream
The new day dawned bright and clear over Dune City, its golden light streaming in through the villa's windows. Johan lay on his bed, his mind flitting back to the past. 'Those days,' he thought, 'when every morning was a fight, when uncertainty was our only certainty... they seem so far away now.' A sigh slipped past his lips as memories washed over him, a bittersweet symphony of their past struggles and challenges.
He rolled out of bed, his bare feet touching the cool wooden floor. 'Let's not get caught in the past now, Johan,' he told himself, a chuckle in his mind, 'There's a whole day waiting for you.'
He walked out of his room to find Miles already up and about, a tantalizing aroma wafting from the kitchen. "Whipping up some of your culinary magic, are you?" Johan asked, a grin spreading across his face.
Miles shot back a playful smirk. "Someone has to feed your lazy ass, brother." His hands worked deftly over the stove, flipping an omelette with practiced ease.
