"There are many devouring worms coming to our side. Coordinate all the knights to retaliate against them." Shura Roosevelt ordered Tanya Belinsky. Shura Roosevelt didn't say anything else as he stepped out of the carriage and got out his sword. All the warriors and the workers seeing that Shura Roosevelt had gotten out his sword, they knew then right away that something was truly not right, because if it was a beast that had made the horses that restless, he could have simply sent some few knights to rectify the situation but the king herself was ready to fight, this meant that what was coming on their way was not that simple.

The people who were still in the carriages got out of their carriages and now, they could vaguely see Miskesh town from where they were. The knights could not help but show surprised expressions when they glimpsed at the current state of Miskesh town.

A town that was destroyed like that could not be alright until now, that was for sure. Some of the knights had planned to hang out in the brothels of Miskesh while working here on the projects of his majesty but right now, all their plans were shuttered.

How will they survive the whole year without doing 'anything'? This was troublesome indeed, they could only curse in their hearts for not bringing their wives with them to Miskesh.

"All of you be ready to battle against the devouring worms!" Tanya Belinsky alerted the knights and as for the people like the blacksmiths, and the capenters, they were chickening while gripping their swords, they were not used to war like the knights. But when they heard that what was coming towards them were the devouring worms, some of them relaxed a little, after all, they had seen the devouring worms in action back in the capital and the worms were not that terrifying. All of them had not seen the incoming waves like Shura Roosevelt and that was why they didn't take this seriously.

"Here they are!" Tanya Belinsky didn't need to tell them as all of them could see the overly ecstatic worms coming their way, the worms were not one or two, they were thousands upon thousands.

If one was to gazed keenly at the worms, they could see that these worms had a slight resemblance to the tape worms, it was just that these ones had a vampiric saw like teeth, popping eyes and a little bushy hair around their small heads. One should also know that these worms were slim the size of a finger and six feet long.

Just as Shura Roosevelt was going to slash the small head of one of the worm that wanted to latch on her, the worm turned into a murky liquid which was then absorbed by the ravenous sand.

Who killed the worm? This was the question that Shura Roosevelt asked himself but he didn't have to wander for a long time to know who killed the worm because the woman that he saw when he was standing at that raised platform in the carriage, that woman was right in front of him.

Shura Roosevelt glanced around and saw that his warriors were fighting the worms miserably. No one among the warriors saw Claudia or even sensed her presence, it was as if she was not there at all but Shura Roosevelt was the only one who could clearly see her which made him disoriented.

"Who are you? Do I know you?" Shura Roosevelt asked Claudia.
