"Another day, another stress" Aria murmured to herself as she got ready to go job hunting again. It has been weeks of fruitless search and she was beginning to give up on getting a good job. Sooner or later she will have to consider working as a stripper in one of her neighborhood's clubs before she starves to death. A baby girl has to do what she has to do to survive in this neighborhood anyways. She has goals to achieve and she knows achieving them won't be easy especially for one like her and certainly a good opportunity to achieve her goals won't find her in these slums so she will have to find the opportunity herself and grab it.

So to avoid stripping even being an option for her she has to find a goddammned dignified job no matter what it took and she needs to find it fast. Money she has not but her dignity and self respect isn't something she is willing to lose in the search of a job to better her life. Her pride certainly won't let it come to that.

"So Aria get your ass up and get to work".

Aria got to the house she hoped will finally end her search for a job. The vacancy stated they  needed a nanny so she dusted her feet, mentally cross-checked her English and then knocked on the door.

"Hello ma'am I'm Aira Johnson and I'm here to apply as a nanny"

"Okay come on in"

"Thanks ma'am" Aria said.

But the lady seemed not to hear her thanks or she did but decided not to answer her. Well that didn't bring down her spirit.

"Am Mrs Lauren and am the one in search of a nanny for my white kids". The lady said eyeing Aira.

"I know Mrs Lauren and that's exactly why I'm here"Aria replied.

"Yeah that's the thing, I said I needed a nanny but it seems I should have specified on the colour obviously, no offense"Mrs Lauren said looking at Aira like someone who saw an embodiment of dirt.

"No offense taken ma'am but I don't see why my colour should be a hindrance to me getting a job" Aria said still hoping for a change of mind not minding the insult.

"To you it doesn't matter but to me it does so am sorry I can't give you this job" Lauren said.

Aria having lost her temper retorted" No Ma'am am sorry for you. To hell with your damned job, I don't think I would have lasted a week here seeing your damned face every day".

Aria stomped out. "Nanny my foot! How dare she say those mean things to me because am black? Did she expect me to go down on my knees because I want to become a nanny?"

"Well suck my ass!" Aria shouted towards the house. "Damned woman, I should go back and..."

There was a large screech and the only thing Aria saw was a black Jeep almost hitting her but swerved right on time to avoid her by an inch but Aria being her dramatic self was already on the floor.

She quickly stood up. "What the fuck!"...
