Chapter 72: Interview (2)

"What's going on?" Mrs. Matsumoto looked at the two people in front of her with some doubts. The previous reporters hadn't left for very long, so why were two more coming?

Siyan replied, "That's right, we want to interview you."

"You still want to interview?" Matsumoto seemed a little reluctant to Siyan's request. She had just returned at noon, right after the morning interview. Before leaving Konoha's newspaper, Minister Saito briefly taught them how to use the camera. In this interview, Siyan's main task is to take photographs, while Yuya is in charge of questioning and recording.

"Have some tea, both of you." Mrs. Matsumoto came out of the kitchen with two cups of tea and then placed the cups of water in front of them respectively, then she sat down on the sofa.

Yuya and Siyan expressed their gratitude at the same time.

After looking at the two reporters, Mrs. Matsumoto rubbed her temples, relaxed, and said first, "What else do you need to interview? Didn't someone from your newspaper come to interview me this morning?"

But other classes are not free. Tuition fees have to be paid. Compared to regular school, the tuition for the regular class in the ninja school is more than twice as expensive!"

This really surprised Yuya, who didn't expect the tuition fees for the Regular class at the Ninja School to be so expensive! If they were really a Regular family, it would be a bit stressful.

After quickly jotting down the tuition fees in his notebook, Yuya raised his head and asked, "Mrs. Matsumoto, besides your daughter's tuition fees, does your family have any other high expenses?"

Shaking her head, Mrs. Matsumoto said, "There's nothing else."

The biggest expense for the family is their daughter's tuition, which aligns with Yuya's earlier observation. Mrs. Matsumoto is not the type of woman who spends money recklessly, on the contrary, she's very frugal.

Regarding Mrs. Matsumoto's interview, Yuya felt that it could basically end here, but before leaving, he asked for the address of Matsumoto's former teammate, Yoshikawa's house, and planned to go to Yoshikawa's house for an interview.

As they walked out of Matsumoto's house, the two stood on the street, Siyan carrying the camera and asking, "Should we go to Mr. Matsumoto's former teammate's house next?"

Yuya shook his head, fixed his gaze on a residential building next to Matsumoto's house, and said, "Wait a moment before going to her teammate's house. Let's first interview the neighbors of Matsumoto's house."

The neighbor of Matsumoto's house is an elderly woman in her sixties. After learning of Yuya and Siyan's intentions, she immediately invited them into her house.

The old woman had already eaten, and after Yuya sat down and exchanged a few polite words with her, the interview began, "Grandma, what about the regular expenses of the Matsumoto family? Isn't her husband a Chunin? They should have a lot of savings!"

After hearing this, the old woman sighed, adjusted her glasses to read, shook her head pityingly, and said, "I don't know the specific situation. Mrs. Matsumoto is a shrewd and capable woman!"

"Ah, I see." Yuya nodded and then asked a bit strangely, "Does Mrs. Matsumoto have a job?"

"No specific job," the old woman shook her head again and said, "But she usually does part-time work and occasional jobs."

Yuya conversed with the old woman for a few more words, and then the two got up and went to Mr. Yoshikawa's house. Fortunately, he didn't have work recently and took them into his house.

Yoshikawa is almost forty years old this year and is already a Jōnin. He frowned after hearing Yuya and Siyan's intentions. He really didn't want to accept this kind of interview.

Yuya saw that Yoshikawa was a bit impatient and immediately said, "Mr. Yoshikawa, we're just asking some simple questions that won't take up much of your time. If you come across any questions you don't want to answer during the conversation, you don't have to answer them."
