Nasty Water!

After dealing with the two zombies, Lu Wuqi was told by Yun Qingyue to be more careful and even her embarrassing moment was remembered by her which made Lu Wuqi feel embarrassed.

Fortunately, Yun Qingyue didn't say anything anymore and Lu Wuqi also replied in affirmation to show her understanding of the matter.

At this time, Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue went to turn on the faucet to see if there was still water available and thankfully the moment the faucet was turned on, cold water started coming out from there.

Yun Qingyue looked towards Lu Wuqi and said,

"Fortunately there's still water. Even though the water line has already been cut off just a week after the apocalypse but maybe the water tank of the supermarket still has water in it."

Lu Wuqi heard her and nodded. Yun Qingyue was about to put one of her hand on the flowing water when suddenly her wrist was held tightly by Lu Wuqi beside her.

"Wait."

Yun Qingyue was a bit confused about her sudden behavior when Lu Wuqi said,

"There's something wrong with the water."

After hearing her words, Both Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue tried to carefully see what was wrong with the water but the dark environment made it seem as if everything was normal. Without the help of light, it was impossible to tell what was wrong with the water but Lu Wuqi clearly felt a slight fishy smell emanating from the water.

For a second she was confused as to whether the smell was from the two dead zombies behind them but Lu Wuqi didn't want to take any risk that would endanger their lives.

She immediately turned towards Yun Qingyue and asked,

"Do you also smell the slight fishy smell? "

Yun Qingyue was a little confused after hearing her words but she also tried to smell the surroundings but couldn't smell anything and said,

"No. Maybe it's the smell of the other two zombies."

Lu Wuqi thought that maybe she smelled wrong but her intuition as a previous mercenary made her not ignore any dangerous signs at all. 

She immediately asked Yun Qingyue again,

"Do you have your old smartphone with you? Does it have any power?"

After hearing her question, Yun Qingyue replied while she took out her smartphone from her pocket which had a broken screen and seemed to be dead.

"I do still have this one. I kept it's power off to preserve the battery as long as possible. Maybe it still has some power. But the screen got broken sometimes ago."

Yun Qingyue handed the smartphone to Lu Wuqi and she took it and immediately tried to power on the smartphone. Fortunately it still has some power and the phone was on. 

Lu Wuqi immediately started the flashlight on and the bright light of the smartphone shone down on the flowing water from the faucet.

But the moment, Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue saw the state of the water, they couldn't help but feel a cold chill running down their spine!

The water was not okay at all. In fact, the water not only had turned a light green in color but they could see that a few very small pieces of rotten human flesh would sometimes flow down along the water! It seems that a zombie has somehow gotten into the water tank which made the water like this.

If they hadn't seen the state of water and had tried to take a shower with it, that would have been a terrible disaster.

Yun Qingyue immediately felt like vomiting after seeing the water and couldn't help but turn to the side to avoid seeing it.

Fortunately, Lu Wuqi didn't let her touch the water. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to bear it.

After seeing the state of water, Lu Wuqi knew that they couldn't use it to wash themselves anymore and It seems that they still had to go to the fourth floor now.

Lu Wuqi could only sigh that they have wasted quite some time in this floor and didn't get anything at all. Though, it wasn't a total loss. Lu Wuqi did get the highest level gift package as well as experienced the natal dagger's powers. 

Overall, no need to think about the wasted time. Lu Wuqi turned to face Yun Qingyue and said,

"Let's go to the fourth floor. There's nothing worth to spend any more time on this floor."

"Okay." Yun Qingyue immediately nodded after hearing her and the two of them with the child quickly walked out of the staff room and came into the long corridor.

They walked towards the stairs in the same way they came before. Lu Wuqi handed the smartphone in her hands to Yun Qingyue and told her to keep it powered off for now as it may come handy later. It still had about 50 % power left in the battery.

Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue with her child walked quickly towards the stairs leading to the fourth floor. While walking, Lu Wuqi also saw a new shirt and Lether jacket in one of the independent shops.

It was a very big brand before the end of the world and normally every single set would cost over 10,000 yuan. Lu Wuqi didn't waste much time and immediately chose the two clothes that seemed to about her size. She didn't even see how they looked like and just threw them into her space with a single thought.

Of course, this act was done infront of Yun Qingyue and she couldn't help but widen her eyes but at the end, she didn't say anything.

Lu Wuqi didn't want to hide anything from Yun Qingyue. After all, they would be together for a long time and she was her only acquaintance in this world now. Subconsciously, Lu Wuqi placed a lot of importance on Yun Qingyue that she herself hadn't noticed.

After taking these two things, Lu Wuqi asked Yun Qingyue if she also wanted to take any but she denied as the conditions of her clothes were much better and she also didn't have any zombies blood on her which saved her the trouble.

After taking these, Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue again came infront of the large glass door and passed through the opened gap in there and immediately took the stairs leading up to the fourth floor.

Fortunately, this time they didn't encounter any zombies and came into the fourth floor without any obstacles.

After coming into the fourth floor, they immediately saw the large glass door just like in the third floor. It seemed that the layout of the building was similar in every floor.

Lu Wuqi opened the glass door slightly to take a look and didn't find anything wrong. She also didn't see anything moving ahead. It seemed that this was relatively safe for the time being.

After noticing that there didn't seem to be anything wrong, Lu Wuqi motioned for Yun Qingyue to follow. She saw that the fourth floor was a food court. With large rows of shelf extending from one end to the other end. But she could also see that the inside was extremely messy, With most of the shelves right infront of them being empty and looted. Some of the human sized shelves on the side were even overturned. It seems that whoever came here before them were in a hurry and seeing the overturned shelf, Lu Wuqi had a feeling that this was done by thugs, most probably by Ling Long's gang.

The whole place looked very dangerous in the dark. Fortunately there were large glass windows on the walls and the moonlight poured in through them and illuminated the whole surroundings, making it easier to see the surroundings. But walking in long aisles was still not safe as their area of movement gets restricted a lot and if a zombie suddenly comes, it would be a mess.

After walking into the fourth floor, Lu Wuqi and Yun Qingyue stopped infront of a shelf that still had quite a few things in it. There were many imported chocolates, as well as snacks bars, protein bars etc..

Lu Wuqi turned to face Yun Qingyue and said,

"I will go further in and take a look. You two wait here and eat the snacks to fill up your stomach. I will be back soon."
