The Final Enemy (1)

He couldn't accept this. He was given such an opportunity, and he wasn't going to let his chance to become a True Immortal slip through his grasp. Seeing Saber's figure millions of miles away, Alvis's vision of the empty void twisted.

Within an instant, he had appeared over Saber's head sending trillions of punches without any hesitations. Saber would be a fleshy bag of meat riddled with holes!

This is what he, Alvis imagined!

Boom!

This was what he imagined, and what his last thoughts were. Before he comprehended the change, his vision turned blank, everything became black, and he was forgotten forever.

Alvis's weakened body was never Saber's match. In the face of another sword art that showcased Saber's full power, Alvis's head was instantly severed.

Right after, Saber grabbed it in one motion before a deep shade of dark purple aura wrapped around it, and immediately thereafter, Alvis's head was devoured.

So to was the rest of his headless body! Saber's ability left no stone untouched as in a fraction of a second, Alvis no longer existed...

Tremble!

Saber's body shook. His muscles and bones twisted and turned under his skin. The sight was disturbing as one could even see it whilst standing a distance away. Under Saber's skin, several objects moved about like insects and bugs under his skin!

Boom!

An explosion escaped Saber's body. Everything from Alvis was instantly devoured.

This included his comprehension of the Fire element and once this was devoured by Saber, with the Prime Immortal level of comprehension in a particular element as a basis, his comprehension of Primordial Chaos also broke past its restraint.

Previously, he was stuck at the pinnacle of the Golden Immortal realm in terms of comprehension but, once devouring Alvis, his comprehension broke through. Saber's eyes released purple flames of dark color.

The surroundings changed. This dark void brightened as if the sun had just been born in the empty universe! A bright purple light blazed through the void, melting and collapsing it as if butter met the burning heat of flames.

At the epicenter of it all, Saber remained levitating in the sea of purple flames as the aura surrounding his body rose. By this time, only a couple of breaths of time had passed since Alvis's death but, Saber's aura had long surpassed Alvis.

Previously, it was due to his superior techniques but at this stage that he had reached, with a mere punch, Alvis would be no more if they were to fight again.

And the most shockingly painful part for Alvis who had already departed was that Saber's aura hadn't ever shown even the most minimal signs of stopping.

Saber smirked. Crossing his legs, he closed his eyes and entered a deep state of meditation. Though it was like this, a fraction of his consciousness remained on high alert, lest some Prime Immortal did a sneak attack on him.

Several thousand breaths later, Saber reopened his eyes. The sea of dark purple flames seeped into his pores completely before his aura returned to the inside of his body.

Now, he seemed like a normal mortal. But, once one met eyes with him, a shocking and painful burning sensation would penetrate the depths of their mind and soul.

Thrum!

"Hmm." Saber's eyes landed on several celestial bodies a distance away. Previously, as a golden immortal, they seemed merely a few light years away, but as a Prime Immortal, after his consciousness evolved once more, he realized that they were pretty far away.

"If I was a golden immortal, it may have taken a few hours to reach the closest one."

Thrum!

As a golden immortal, he could cross several light-years in a step... But even with that speed and law-defying abilities, it'll take hours! Such a large distance was simply unimaginable.

"But, the more important thing isn't those planets..." Saber smirked. "Upon entering the third floor, those golden immortals rushed toward me as if I was some prize as if I was some bounty. Now that I've devoured all Alvis's memories, hehe, Hell's Tower's Ruler, where are you?"

Saber's eyes traveled through the void in no particular location. But, he was seeking something in this empty void. Precisely, it was the Hell's Tower's Ruler.

Hua!

Saber's ears twitched and his eyes shot in a particular direction. Sensing ripples in the void, Saber saw the figure of a humanoid rabbit slowly making his appearance.

"Hohoho, I never expected for you to defeat Alvis soo quickly, and soo easily too. Then again, you are a Deity, well, you haven't annihilated your other self so you are a Pseudo Deity, but still, even if you were a Deity, you are a very special one..."

The Ruler of this mysterious tower that floated in the region of the demon race outside in the cosmos suddenly appeared in front of Saber. His words resounded in the empty void surroundings as Saber listened intently, not surprised in the least that this fellow knew soo much.

Why? It was clear that he knew of Saber's devouring ability. His knowledge of Saber's insane growth rate once given resources in the form of cultivators stronger than Saber was something that couldn't be known to normal individuals.

Saber had awakened some memories when comprehending the samsara element after devouring the Litch on the lower floors. Though he didn't know of Pure-Heart, he had a fair idea of this creation, this cosmos, and the higher world.

He understood his origin in this life, and he understood that the one in front of him had some relationship with the Deity Clan.

"You don't seem surprised, nor do you seem confused at the mention of the Deity Clan...? Hmm, it seems you are even more special than I gave you credit for~!" The humanoid rabbit grinned maniacally with a mysterious light flashing inside of his crimson-red pupils.

In the face of his curiosity, Saber remained stone-cold in expression, and his aura was as aloof as ever as he finally voiced in the silent void.

"What is your purpose for all of this? Raising my strength isn't your job... What tricks do you plan on using now...?" Saber questioned. Even though he had a fair idea of what this fellow's objective is, he couldn't say such a thing lest the rabbit becomes even more suspicious.

After all, at this time, though Saber was the prince of the Deity clan, he shouldn't know much if anything about the upper world. If he reveals too much, one may think that his body was taken over by another soul and that definitely wouldn't be okay.

The rabbit in front of him might even kill him in that instance. Speaking of this rabbit, the grin on its face widened even more as he replied.

"You need not worry about my purpose. What you need to worry about though, is surviving, devouring, and growing strong enough to defeat your next opponents. They will be your final opponents inside Hell's Tower."

Hearing this, Saber tilted his head slightly confused. Looking around, he then asked, "But, isn't this floor that of the Prime Immortals? How can they be my final opponents when there are those True Immortals on the last floor?..."

Saber was confused and shot a glance at the ruler of hell's tower in a daze. Smirking, the ruler pointed upward while saying, "Now now, who told you that your opponents are Prime Immortals?"

Thrum!

The ripples in the void were huge as the void itself cracked. Several figures exited the void, each more powerful than the last, and radiated auras that no Prime Immortal could ever match!
