The A Class Adventurer

"You're here to be evaluated?" The old man with long white hair and beard asked curiously to the expressionless Oblivion. Standing on the other side of the desk, gazing into the old man's eyes while ignoring the gazes of those around him, Oblivion nodded as the interest in the old man couldn't be hidden by his eyes.

For the first time in this city, he had finally met someone who wasn't drowned by his allure and managed to do his or her job properly. The old man smirked meaningfully before gesturing for Oblivion to follow him where he then lead Oblivion to a back room.

...

Oblivion entered a room. There wasn't anything fancy in it besides the large machine that would block the view of anyone after they enter the room. The massive, flat metal facing them would make it so that they could see their reflection.

"A glorified mirror?" Oblivion mumbled in confusion. He hadn't seen anything like this before, and even though he knew it wasn't a mirror, he still couldn't help but say so. The old man then said to a confused Oblivion.

"Punch it!" Almost as if he was daunting him to punch the machine, he had a prideful and gloating expression. Seeing it, Oblivion was easily ticked, so he decided to give this old man a lesson fitting of one who dared gloat in front of the future destroyer of this Universe.

'Since you want to play with me... Hopefully, this can handle the strength of an Earth Immortal!' Oblivion thought while sending a casual jab toward the metal. This mere jab though contained the planet-shattering power of a Level 3 Earth Immortal.

And with his Power Level which was comparable to a Peak Level 3 Profound Immortal, this mere jab which contained such power, could be classified as a mere jab, for someone like him!

BOOM!

His fist contacted the metal in front of him as a loud explosion occurred. The shockwave blasted throughout the room as the old man's hair fluttered in his face because of the wind. On the other hand, Oblivion was unaffected due to how short his white hair was.

A smirk was plastered on his face. He didn't care if he was a little petty, he was simply annoyed by the old man's gloating face. Turning his head to face the metal, his expectant eyes met with a completely unharmed and still firm-looking mirror-like object, showcasing Oblivion's incredible features.

But, just as he was busy contemplating in his mind why the metal that seemed soo easy to break was still completely fine, the letter "D" appeared on the mirror.

"And there you have it. If you stop now, after giving me some important information, you'll officially be a D-Class Adventurer!" The old man coolly conveyed to Oblivion. Instantly, he placed the pieces together and thought...

'Oh... So it seems that this must be a special treasure created using special material, hence its sturdiness. Since there are up to SS-Class Adventurers in this city, this treasure should be able to defend against attacks up to Peak Level 9 Profound Immortals!!!'

"No, I wish to continue. I'll punch this with my full power!" Oblivion said. His eyes turned cold instantly thereafter while his aura spiked incredibly quickly. A mysterious aura surrounded him yet, the old man didn't even feel anything.

The wind in the room wildly gushed and churned, yet the old man was able to sense any element being used. There wasn't anything special besides the sudden spike in Oblivion's presence. An overbearing pressure appeared before he sent a punch containing all his physical power!!!

*BOOM!!!*

...

Tsk!!

"To think he could actually complete five missions in a month!" The black-haired young man said with a light red hue over his cheeks. He had a pair of larger than normal front teeth that looked out of place, making him appear unsightly.

"Haha, that was last month. Haven't you heard, rumor is going around that he's completed over 12 missions in the past twenty days. Every one of them was at least a C-rank mission." The fellow closest to the buck teeth youth replied. He had just finished the seventh pint so he was also a little hazy in his mind.

"They say he's as beautiful as those Heavenly Maidens..."

"No, I heard he's actually a she!"

"They say he becomes a male at day, and a female at night, hence the reason he looks too beautiful to be a man."

Countless rumors were passed on from one mouth to another in this in. All of the rumors are based around one singular figure. A greatly respected A-rank Adventurer who was known for the fact that he only went on his missions solo.

Around three months ago, he made his first appearance.

Though he completed the D-rank mission relatively fast seeing as a normal group of D-rankers would take a couple of weeks to finish what he had completed in half that time, it didn't garner as much attention as he was garnering now.

The main reason was that the time at which he took to complete harder missions was continuously lessening. Every mission he took on was finished in less time than the last as eventually, it took him merely a day to complete a B-rank mission.

Not only were people curious about the origin of this mysterious A-rank Adventurer, but they were even more curious about the reason why this person needed soo many Sage Energy Pills. After all, this was the only thing he bought with his credits besides a Healing Pill every once in a while.

Three months ago he began buying D-rank Sage Energy Pills. Over time it increased, and now he buys B-rank Sage Energy Pills. It was a well-known fact that it took quite a while to absorb the energy inside a pill...

So, he couldn't be absorbing the Sage Energy Pills right? If this was the case, his body should have exploded by now... Right?

...

...

As the many drunkards continued to gossip about the A-rank Adventurer, this mysterious figure was a floor above them in a dark creepy room alone sitting on his bed with a Sword laying on the bed in front of him.

Unlike the previous time, we saw the Sword, this time, the Sword was three meters long!

The blade alone was over two meters and the hilt was long enough for Oblivion to use his two hands to control it with effectiveness. Gazing at the intricate dark blue engravings that were etched throughout the now-white blade, Oblivion smirked.

Gently grabbing the hilt, Oblivion uttered.

"If you can survive your ascension into becoming a High-Level Weapon, I'll name you!"

WAA!

As Oblivion uttered those words, a Sword light escaped the blade and brightened the room instantly. At this moment when the room was bright, one could see hovering just barely over the blade was a small black whirlpool-like structure connected to the Sword.

'To think this Sword that old man created was able to absorb energy and grow seemingly without a limit!' Oblivion thought. From the memories he had, Oblivion understood how precious a Sword like the Broad Sword in front of him was.

Although weapons could absorb energy to grow stronger depending on how special they were, weapons still weren't able to grow from being a Low-Level Weapon to a High-Level Weapon.

Though Oblivion wasn't yet aware of what type of weapon there was more powerful than High-Level Weapons, seeing as the Old man said this sword could become the strongest weapon in the Universe, Oblivion would assume that even after becoming a High-Level Weapon, this sword in front of him would still be able to grow!!
