Dawn's Situation

Why was he soo shocked?

To fully understand this, one must understand what it meant when the green dot is transparent.

It either means that this person is dead, or close to dying.

Now, one must understand that the only ally Saber had was Dawn, so if the dot was transparent or near transparent, it meant that Dawn's situation wasn't good!

With Dawn's green dot turning dark, Saber didn't bother chasing after Ash...

Standing at the highest point of a mountain decorated with what seemed to be black snow, Dawn had a slightly surprised expression on his face when gazing in the direction of the forest where Saber was located.

At a distance of tens of thousands of kilometers away, it seemed that Dawn was still able to observe Saber's situation as he mumbled,

"Hmm, it seems that you've found yourself in an unhealthy condition.

I'm not sure if the awakening of this personality of yours, was a good thing or not.

Surely, I've realized that you've grown stronger for some reason, but it seems that this side of you is many times more bloodthirsty than you ever was...!"

He muttered as his ears perk when realizing that a figure had appeared behind him.

As his eyes flashed gold, his surroundings brightened as an uncountable number of golden shards each a few meters long appeared around him and his opponent.

BZZZT!!

The sound of crackling lightning powerfully reverberated in Dawn's ears, causing him to raise an eyebrow.

"Do you think your lightning can beat my gold?!"

While his gaze remained on Saber, who battled tens of thousands of kilometers away, Dawn asked the figure who was surrounded by crackling lightning.

But, lightning wasn't the only thing that surrounded this figure, since around the lightning, were thousands of fine shards that all pointed toward him, whilst radiating a dangerous sharpness.

THRUM!!

"Do you truly think it was a smart idea to face me alone?"

Dawn's voice reverberated once more. The girl with dark bolts of blue lightning crackling around her replied.

"You speak as if I'm an ant.

The thing I hate the most, are arrogant people who look down on others, without knowing their full capabilities."

Hearing her words, Dawn slowly got to his feet while taking his attention away from Saber's location.

Now inches away from this figure who was surrounded by lightning, Dawn replied to her words.

"And what made you think that I'm arrogant. What made you think you're power was something that could trouble me?"

"THIS!!"

THRUM!!

As a burst of lightning shot out her body, Ava slowly raised her hand toward Dawn, who was seemingly unaware of this, as his body didn't show any signs of reacting.

'Inside my domain, time moves soo slow, that it could be perceived as a slow motion for me. But, of course, for others, I'm moving at an incredibly quick speed that they can't possibly comprehend!!'

Ava said in her mind. Her hand, which was crackling with lightning, drew ever closer to the neck of an unsuspecting Dawn.

But, as her hand which would have by now come in contact with Dawn's skin met nothing but air, shock and confusion overtook Ava as she saw Dawn's body seemingly fade away as if never there in the first place.

"It seems you still look down on Gold!"

Dawn, who was standing behind Ava, rested his chin on Ava's shoulder, as he muttered with utter calm, even as the destructive lightning came in contact with his skin.

"Huh!" Ava yelped in surprise when she felt Dawn coming in contact with her, as she jumped away in an effort to make room between them both.

But, while still mid-air, Dawn's figure once more disappeared from her vision, and appeared behind her once again, as he placed his hand on her shoulder, and exerted minimal force...

BOOM!!

Ava's body crashed onto the snowy mountain, causing a loud explosion, and for the mountain to shake from the shockwave.

"Do you see now, who the arrogant one is...?"

Dawn said while slowly descending from the air, and landing next to the pit created by Ava's body which had been embedded into the snow mountain.

BZZZZT!!!

Ava's aura shot out of the crater and into the skies, causing massive bolts of lightning to descend from it, and for Dawn to jump away with caution in his eyes.

"What is this now... Are you evolving during a fight?!" Dawn uttered.

BAM!

Appearing behind Dawn in but a flash, Ava sent a supersonic punch toward Dawn's lower back, that sent his body flying hundreds of meters away.

This was what was supposed to happen but as these powerful fists landed on Dawn's back...

BOOM!!

An otherworldly explosion occurred. Thereafter, Ava's mouth formed an O when the sight of a perfectly fine Dawn, entered her vision.

"It seems, Reality is often disappointing...!" Using his favorite line, Dawn coldly smirked toward Ava who stood there in a stupor.

Dawn instantly appeared in front of Ava and grabbed her neck, he then slammed it down to the snow, completely rendering her unconscious in but mere instance while forming another crater which this time, she wouldn't possibly be able to come out off.

"As I said, did you truly think that you would pose me any threat whatsoever?" He asked toward an unconscious Ava.

Without the need to even expand his domain, he had already overpowered his opponent who, for most others, would prove to be too daunting of a challenge.

Or so it would seem.

"Even those bastard Gods co-!"

But, before Dawn could finish monologuing, he rose his eyebrows in pure surprise when Saber's figure made its appearance a few tens of meters away.

"What are you doing here?" He asked Saber in confusion. Even though there was something much different to this Saber, compared to any other he had previously met, he didn't focus on this much since Saber seemed to always be changing whenever given the chance...

"DISPERSE!!"

But, to further add to Dawn's confusion, Saber ignored Dawn's question, as Saber instead seemingly honed his attention to a location behind Dawn, and shouted the word.

Immediately after, and to the confusion of Dawn, his surroundings, the very fabrics of space, seemingly formed cracks as Ava's body, embedded on the ground began fading, and so did his own.

"Huh?... Don't tell me?!!"

As if finally becoming aware of a certain fact, Dawn shouted out in reluctance as his vision turned completely black.

...

"I never expected to see this sight?!"

Saber's voice entered his ears, causing him to shoot his eyes open. What was revealed to Dawn, was the appearance of Ava, who held his neck tightly, almost with enough strength to break it!

'So it was true after all!' Dawn said in his mind.

Ava, even with Dawn in her grip, didn't seem to be the victor as her expression was utterly cold when gazing at the figure who was approaching her and her group.

Walking with utter calmness toward Ava, he said.

"I didn't expect the great Dawn Pure-Heart to be in such a perilous situation...

Hehe, if I'd known something like this would've happened, I would have prepared some cameras, so to take some pictures...

Or wait, maybe I can ask those machos to give me the video footage...!" Saber said with a teasing tone.

"Stop right there. If you move one more step, I would snap this neck of-!"

But, before Ava could finish, spurting out the ground below her was a golden chain that wrapped around her hand tightly enough that for a split second, her grip on Dawn had slipped.

And even though it was a split second, it was enough time...
