Chapter 187: A Meeting With Lord Darkness

But, moments after, Saber's body exploded into particles as his real body suddenly appeared standing arrogantly in front of a figure seemingly made up of Darkness who sat like an amused Emperor watching Saber's arrogant display.

...

...

As soon as he appeared inside the throne room, Saber already understood what had taken place. This entity sitting like an emperor on the throne had released an aura soo overbearing that even Dawn knelt on his knee.

But, Saber would never bow his head to anyone willingly. Feeling the aura washing over him, Saber smirked in his mind and thought. 'In all my life, no one has been soo arrogant in front of me besides Master whose power is infinitely more powerful than a puny little human like yourself...'

Saber's thoughts, if heard by the Lord, would cause this Lord to search for Saber's Master to see for oneself how powerful this person was. After all, this Lord knew that the powers in her possession weren't something just anyone could surpass...

It was this insane power that made it so that she could consider even someone like Saber, as just another ant. And, when she saw him appear only a meter away from herself, a smile couldn't help but form on her face, and the concentrated darkness which blocked one from seeing her appearance disappeared.

Saber's expression froze after seeing the appearance of this Lord Darkness. She was a tremendous beauty... It was comparable to Adrianna, but what truly set her apart was the noble and refined aura that permeated her surroundings.

Frozen in shock, Saber didn't realize that in the Lord's finger, what coated around it was concentrated darkness. Lightly tapping on her throne's armrest, Saber was then finally put in place!

Tap!

Bam!!

Right after the seemingly ordinary finger tap, a shockwave so powerful that it sent Saber flying down the fleet of stairs occurred. He appeared with blood escaping his lip and already kneeling next to Dawn with his upper body bare, revealing a whip-like lash mark running across his chest.

Urgh!

Saber groaned in pain while thinking. 'Formidable... Truly formidable. Okay, I'll play the sheep for now...' He said, "Oh Lord Darkness, forgive me for my rudeness, I simply couldn't help my curiosity when seeing someone who dared to make me want to bow my head..."

A simple chuckle escaped the beautiful cherry lips of the Lord as she slowly stood to her feet and then began descending the fleet of stairs. Her black hair which was similarly as dark as the void of space cascaded down to her waist while her black eyes gazed at the five Geniuses kneeling toward her.

"Do You Know Why You All Have Been Gathered Here?" Her dignified and noble voice reverberated throughout the room releasing an unintentional seductiveness and appeal that would drive any mortal crazy for her.

"Well, according to rumors, Demons are running rampant throughout the Galaxy." Saber replied as a weird silence immediately descended. Sensing the weird atmosphere, Saber looked toward Dawn who placed his lips inches away from Saber's ear and said...

"I don't think it was a question you should answer. In these types of moments, the main character doesn't necessarily want to be interrupted..." Hearing this, Saber now understood what had taken place as he simply bowed his head in embarrassment, while thinking internally...

Tsk!

'This is very necessary for acting like the innocent sheep, but it's also rather annoying having one explain to you what you already know...'

'I mean, how would I not know as the Main Character myself...'

...

...

"Well, even though rumors say the Demon race is running rampant in the galaxy, it is in fact just an exaggerated rumor. But, it wouldn't be soon before the Demon race does actually begin doing just that..." And while saying that, she waved her hand gently. A light breeze washed over the bodies of all five geniuses as energy lifted their body upright...

Snap!

The Lord snapped her fingers as the previously sparkling white throne room disappeared! The floor Saber stood on disappeared along with anything insight and was replaced by an infinite dark field that showed one or two glittering stars ever so often. But, what caught the sight of all the Geniuses present was something beyond their imagination...

Millions... or billions, they didn't know. But countless figures, some with the height of the average human while others, as tall as mountains and even planets themselves... They all sent devastatingly powerful attacks toward what seemed to be a barrier.

**BOOM!!!!!**

For one of the few times in his short life, Saber's heart palpated with fear as on one side were an army of countless red skinned Demons, while on the other side was himself, a few other geniuses that would immediately die if faced against this army, and an unknown Lord Darkness...

"Now, do you see what we are facing... We, the human race of the Milky Way Galaxy are facing an army of Demons who are unafraid of death. They are killing machines made for slaughter alone and soon, they are what we and you five will be fighting against...

If not for protecting the normal humans of your home galaxy, then simply because these Demons will see you and do everything within their power to kill you. So, if you want to fight or not, you do not under any circumstance have an option..."

While saying this, Lord Darkness couldn't help but glance at Saber's expression. On his face, a dark crazed grin from ear to ear was present. It was a smile that even this existence with the title Lord Darkness felt a creepiness from.

Saber, when hearing the Lord's words, he didn't feel any hesitation to risk his life for this Galaxy...

One would question why and he would reply. 'This... Isn't this simply a massive farm beyond anything I could ever ask for...' Thinking this, a smile beyond any other in terms of freakiness formed on his face... the slaughter of the Demon race... Ahh. Just thinking about it a hue of red formed on Saber's cheeks as he felt his hormones raise another level...

Dawn, who stood next to him and understood that everyone was gazing with weird expressions toward Saber immediately pinched Saber's arm to wake him up from his euphoric state. Feeling the sting from Dawn, Saber closed his eyes and calmed himself before once more opening them as light filled with immense killing intent escaped from them.

"Anyway, now that you all have a clear understanding of what we're facing, I'll let you know the situation..." She said. "The reason for the competition was to pick a group of individuals who'll be the deciding factors in the upcoming war."

"Unlike what you would expect of a Galaxy, inside here, there are only five of us who've surpassed the Earth Immortal realm, and it's mainly due to the fact that talented individuals are few and far between."

"Since one can't rely on their background and treasures to breakthrough realms in the immortal realm because of the importance of understanding one's element, many individuals who were once labeled geniuses, would either die when breaking through to the Immortal realm or remain as a Half-Immortal cultivator for the rest of their lifespan..." She then pointed toward the countless red-skinned Demons and said with a dark expression.

"Unlike us, they grow stronger the more slaughter they do. Not ten, but hundreds of Demons in just that army have already surpassed the Earth Immortal realm!!!"

THRUM!!!
