Adapt & Evolve

Everywhere this existence went, a path was opened as the surrounding beasts had their bodies involuntarily shaken by just his mere presence. One must know, that even when Saber, who is leagues above their strength swim close to them, this exaggerated reaction isn't present!

Saber, who was just finishing the massacre he had just created, felt as if something or someone was approaching his present location. Immediately after realizing this, his warning bells rang out in his head as he darted his gaze behind him.

What appeared in his view was a massive twenty-meter creature who had the appearance of the animal known as a whale shark from his last world. The shark was painted in black and had multiple white dots throughout its body. The thing was, a savage and beastly aura reeked out of it as its body made its way in front of Saber.

'Aren't this species of sharks supposed to be gentle?!' Saber thought in alarm as he couldn't believe his opponent was about to be some beast as large as this. Even though in his last world, this species was also incredibly large, personally being a few meters in front of it and with the strength and ruthlessness it radiated, Saber couldn't help but feel his chest tighten.

The cold and seemingly unfeeling eyes of this beast locked onto the body of Saber, making him feel as if the waters had undergone a drastic temperature change. He felt as if he had an average mortal body and was naked on an ice mountain.

His body gained a sluggish feeling which quickly went away since he was a being who could constantly evolve. He had long realized that the more a situation seems difficult, the stronger he became. Not only that but, even when he is injured and then heals, he also gets even stronger!

This realization unknowingly made him someone who began seeking strong opponents and seeing the monster in front of him, Saber couldn't help but let out a smirk. It mattered not how much pain he'll have to undergo in this fight, what he wants is to continuously face strong opponents which will in turn make him stronger as eventually, he'll come out on top.

Floating in the water, still naked, and facing his opponent, Saber's body crouched down as he got into a fighting stance. His stance resembled that of a tiger waiting for its prey to move, he now looked more beast than a human, but he did not mind since this is what was needed to survive in a world such as this.

He was beginning to adapt to this world's workings and its ruthlessness as he would also begin to evolve into something that only the rulers of this world could understand. As he waited for the whale shark in front of him to attack, the two had a stare off as they both remained unmoving for what felt like hours but were only a few seconds!

Boom!

Abruptly and simultaneously, both the bodies of Saber and the whale shark bolted toward each other. Their blast off was so powerful that it sent shockwaves through the surrounding thirty meters causing all other creatures to be blasted away. It looked as if Saber had a platform on which his feet could push off, even though he was only in water.

Bam!!

Saber sent a punch that surprisingly wasn't weakened by the water and instead whistled through the water, while the whale shark sent an attack using the massive tale on his body. Their attacks collided with each other's successfully bringing about the scene of Saber's body being sent flying uncontrollably through the waters.

His arm also seemed to have suffered a little injury but, thankfully for him, it was not so bad that he was unable to use it once again. As he regained control of his body from the previous attack, Saber once again bolted through the waters and toward his opponent.

Appearing in the front of his opponent's body, he picked up at the corner of his eyes, the sight of a tail heading towards his head. Hurriedly evading the attack, Saber sent an attack of his own towards the body of this beast.

Boom!!

A punch to the under-belly of the shark, Saber thought that it would at the very least, injure the beast a little. But, contrary to his expectation, the beast tanked the hit with ease as it opened its mouth and spread the upper and lower part of its mouth wide enough to fit a truck.

ROAR!!!

An extremely blood-curling roar then resounded right in the ears of Saber causing him to cover his ears while also wincing in pain. His body then began to spasm as he was rendered paralyzed for a few seconds. The veins in his body contracted as his eyes turned bloodshot red, and foam began leaking out of his mouth.

Bam!!

He lost control of his body as the whale shark used this opportunity to attack with its tail. Being unprotected and on the receiving end of an attack by such a powerful beast who had a physical level of 2,500, Saber's bones in his right arm and shoulder were immediately pulverized!

This powerful attack sent waves of pain coursing through his body, instantly awakening him from a semi-unconscious state. With a completely useless right arm and an enemy who was dashing toward his direction, Saber immediately spun around as he dashed through the waters in search of some creatures.

He knew that his regeneration was reliant on the number of nutrients and food in his stomach, so if he began eating large amounts of creatures, his right arm would be able to heal and bring him an incredible boost in power. Even though he was still gaining power right now, the strength difference between him and his opponent would not be cut by only power-ups of this level.

Speeding through the waters, Saber and the whale caused immense fear in the hearts of the other and more weak beasts as wherever they went, blood was spilled courtesy of Saber who either grabbed them with his hand and sent them in his mouth or simply use his mouth first. His speed didn't drop either as he was instead becoming faster and faster the longer he was in the water!!

After eating about nine or ten fairly big fishes, Saber realized that he began to feel with his right arm once more. He clenched his fist as he realized that his strength began to rise but, he did not stop in his chase for beasts and instead quickened his pace as he knew his arm still wasn't fully healed.

Glimpsing behind him, he caught sight of the whale shark quite a distance away from him. Seeing that he had some time, Saber slowed down and took his time focusing on catching all the needed creatures in this school of fishes which will help him fully heal.

His hands moved at a lightning-fast speed as he caught multiple fish-like creatures and threw them into his mouth. His eyes shone with a bright light as he felt his strength increase dramatically along with the healing of his arm.

Stretching out his arm and pointing it toward the whale, he gestured for the beast to come as he had a devilishly handsome smirk plastered on his face.
