Chapter 171 Bad Rules
Naonao tiptoed into the room, passing through the outer hall and into the inner sanctum, where upon entering, he was greeted by a familiar fragrance, the scent of his mother.
His eyes sparkled with excitement as he ran with small steps to the large bed; he was just tall enough to reach the edge. He jumped up, clung to the bedsheet, and saw his mother sleeping in a man's arms.
Naonao's gaze met the man's, and he was startled by those Silver Eyes. It seemed the man had been aware of his approach all along but made no move to act. Now, he simply locked eyes with Naonao, as if to ensure the child wouldn't make any noise.
The task proved to be harder than expected.
Naonao furrowed his tiny brows, his little face all seriousness. He mumbled to himself, attempting to climb onto the bed like an inchworm, but the next second, the man lifted an arm and pushed him off with his hand.

Naonao landed on his bottom, taking a solid fall.
