The Director didn't respond to Harry immediately. He took his time, sipping tea from his thermos, eyes quietly observing Harry's face.
Only after a long silence did he speak slowly.
"Old Wayne was the last person who could access the old morgue."
He paused, as though weighing his words. "He ended up where he is because he convinced himself someone died because of him. That guilt made him vulnerable, and certain things took advantage of it."
The Director's gaze grew distant. "Now, he's trapped in the mirror, standing guard at the old office entrance. He'll never come back."
The Director's voice dropped to a grim tone. "If he ever does return, it'll only be in one way: when he's completely dead and his body is allowed to come back. Understand, Harry, I hope what you're saying is true and aligns with what you're actually thinking. We cannot afford to let ourselves feel guilty because of the misdeeds of others."
