Chapter 28(Ruins 3)

In a silent tent, a fat man was lying on his large bed with a glass of wine in one hand and a piece of meat in another hand. In front of him laid a table full of different dishes.

[Sir there is a visitor who expresses his wishes to meet you, he says it is elated to fire bird] said a soldier who was in charge of the guard door.

[Disturbing in time of meal he better brings some important news. Bring him in] said the fat man. He was the man who was in charge of the army that was sent as reinforcement for Jason and also was a higher rank than Jason.

Soon the door of the tent parted and a young man in a black uniform walked in a bowed before the army leader.

[Sir Extreme apology for disturbing your lunchtime, but sir the plan A is a failure sir, the bird has not taken the bait, sir, please instruct me of further action.] This young man was none other than Jim, who was second in command in Jason's army.

[Pathetic little waste...can't you do a simple task that I gave you...he is just a fiery bird he should have sparked up with a mere mention of him but you say he remained calm... that just means you are incompetent] said the army leader releasing his aura.

As soon as his aura descended it was as if night has fallen and it was as if the god of death has descended on earth.

Amidst the deathly and suffocating aura, Jim was on his knees suffocating, unable to breathe and utter a single word. Struggling with all his might Jim finally stood up and flames flickering around him, Blood was pouring out of his mouth but there was a visible unyielding spirit present on his face.

[Oh oh I never expected you to advance a whole stage just after a single season of receiving a lesser fire Demon Heart or in reality you were hiding your true power all along.

I see I can now clearly understand... You want nothing me than that... I can clearly give you that but you still need to incite the Firebird. Now Go away] said the army leader taking away his aura.

As soon as his aura was realized the flames on Jim's body vanished and Jim fell on the Ground.

[What a stupid waste of time...] said army leader asking men to take away the unconscious Jim.

[It is now the Time for real men to show their courage .. team leaders step forward and take charge... there will be 10 subjugation teams... before the sun sets all of you to have to return to the watchtower ... we aim to increase our defense line 100 feet forward.... whoever kills a lesser demon would be awarded with a Firestone and take note ... Fire Hearts are to be submitted here only then you would be awarded... and whoever thinks they can take away something that against the rules shall be punished] said the army leader at morning.

After 2 rays of rest, they were finally ready to set off in their subjugation quest.

[Glory][Glory][Glory] chanted the soldiers before dispersing to their new posts.

All around there could see the body of Fire-lings death body turning again into the fire and hundred or more replacing each dead body, it was an endless cycle and never-ending slaughter.

But even amidst this madness, one could clearly differentiate between a soldier and a General.

Jim was facing a lesser fire demon and was clearly having an upper hand using his unique yellow-colored flames which would induce a curse effect of paralysis even to someone who is entirely made up of Fire itself.

Jason was also fighting a lesser demon while also slaughtering hundreds of feelings along the way... his unique Phoenix-shaped flames burned even fire... With each swipe of its Huge talons and with its eternal nature it was easy as killing an ant and soon the demon fell, with one fell swoop Phoenix brought the demon heart out of the corpse of the demon and vanished in the thin year...

On another location, the army Leader was also fighting other Lesser Demon but his fight was not at all exciting, because it was over even before it began, with one swipe of his hand a scythe made up of Pitch black flame appeared and cleaved hundreds of fire-lings and lesser fire demon in his path.

[Sir I would like to report something...] said Jim appearing behind Jason.

[What is the matter that you have to tell in midst of battle ... It better be urgent.]Said Jason, his tone filled with irritation.

listening to irritation in his voice Jim was delighted, cause this was the Jason e knew, easily irritable and who flares up on little spark, and the one who burns anyone who stands in his path ... gaining nickname firebird among his long list of Enemies.

[Sir this is a ploy... this is all a scheme...This is a trap designed to lure young True demon towards you and to kill you...] said, Jim ... trying to spark a feud between the Army leader and Jason.

[Don't worry my dear this plan I will burn it into Ashes] sad Jason and with no further words he left towards the direction of the army leader.

[Ha ha it was so easy to fool you my dear brother Jason.. it is such a perfect plan I would let them battle out each other... a ray before you were showing your superiority to me now a ray after today I would be standing on your graves and will become heir of phoenix family ... ha ha ha]

After slaying another lesser fire demon Jason stopped moving forward as soon as his shadow flickered.

A shadow figure with the face of a joker appeared in front of Jason, on his face there was a drop of blood falling down the right eye and a huge creepy smile covered the rest of the face.

[You are becoming soft, you know that he is working for that fat ass pig, I could have killed him and no one would know, I could even kill that fat ass, I even can kill that true puny true fire demon... you should just release me and I will devour it all and then you can go back to the family for vengeance...and then devour your whole family and become an Alpha existence and be stronger than any magus... ha ha ha hah...]Said the Joker shadow, but his smile never reduced, it was as if his voice was coming from somewhere else, and even he was laughing crazily no one noticed and passed by Jason forward to continue slaughter fire-lings.
