Chapter 4

Demi I want you to wash those dirty plates in the kitchen before I get back, I have to check quickly what is going on at the site but I'll be back soon. There is rice in the pressure pot too, you guys should dish your food according to the portion you can finish, I don't want any wastage, okay bye. He closed the door behind him. It is eight already! Dapo was still asleep when I woke up. I did not have to lock the doors because my Dad would always lock us home, because he felt we had everything we needed at home already so there was no need going out. I went straight to the kitchen, did the dishes and did some cleaning too. Yetunde and Abayo came home from shop one day, pack their stuffs and never came back, atleast, that is what I remember.

My Dad came home some hours later, by then my brothers had woken up. A friend and I went around to check schools for you. I gave my Dad an astonished look. A new school, why? Because you won't be going to that school any more. I never liked the school anyways. There was no point arguing with my Dad besides, Js3 students were mandated to be borders in the school so as to have more classes to prepare for the Junior WAEC Examination and I did not want to be in boarding school.

The next day happened to be a Sunday. My Dad already changed our church from the Redeemed Christian Church we used to attend when Mum was around, to Foursquare. He said, the Pastor of the new church was transferred from another zone to the church and he happened to be his childhood friend so he wanted us to be members of the church. I was still in the children's department because I was twelve. I loved the way the children ministers made church fun. I was always excited to go to church.

After service that Sunday, My Dad did a formal family Introduction between us and Reverend Bashiru. He also introduced us to his wife Reverend Mrs Bashiru, she was the Children Pastor and his children, Perfect and Peculiar.

Early Monday morning, my Dad drove Dapo and I to Hebron Heights College. Dolamu had to attend a primary school beside our school, Liztol Int'l College, because our new school was just secondary. Although we were only three in my class,I liked it somewhat that way because there was less competition in class.

Junior WAEC Examination was soon approaching, my school was still new,so we had to register for the exam in another school, Homat. The only difficulty I had then was that I was the only girl in my class and sometimes the guys just did not want me around but I had to adjust to the new system.

In Homat, I met with Triplets, who later in future we call ourselves Quads because we attended the same church so we became extremely close. Kelechi and Samuel also made new friends like Bode(@buzaga_). We concluded the exam and got promoted to senior secondary school.
