New strategy to fight the boss

Mike quickly changed his mind I guess, hopefully for his team, he made the best decision pretty quickly. To be completely honest I couldn't have fought the boss alone this time, I have almost no arrow left and I will not try to fight him with my whip or whatever it's just a death sentence if I do that alone. I had to think pretty quickly of a good idea to kill the boss with Mike and his team, I also had to consider the time that was left before night came.

- Mike : "Can you hurry with your plan we are not gonna tank him all day"

- Me : "Okay okay, I will try something very risky"

- The two other : "You better hope it works, because if it's not the boss that's gonna kill you, we will do it ourselves"

- Me : "Come to me one by one, I'll explain your role"

I decided to continue using my bow so that Mike could defend against his attack and the first guy could attack him when he saw an opening. The second guy moved slowly from his attack position to me, when he was at my level I whispered my plan but did not even stop to shot arrows.

- Me : "Listen well, you and your partner are gonna attack his leg and his arms whenever you can"

- The guy : "You saw that he was quicker than us, we can put in little attacks but it's never enough"

- Me : "Don't worry about that I'll help you go quicker and evade his attack, trust me you can go full attack"

I touch different parts of his clothes to put [speed], [evasion] but also [strength] and [sharpness] on his dagger. I could have made him an [extand] one but I don't want him to know that I can do that for now. When he got my plan, I wanted the second one to come and told him exactly the same but didn't put [strength], for him I preferred [poison], he seemed a little more strong than the first one so didn't need it.

- Mike : "You know I can't move from here, you better move yourself"

- Me : "Yeah yeah, no worry, here I come"

I continued to him as I was moving, I could see that the two guys were doing quite good damage, they were clearly quicker than before. The boss was moving in every direction with his big sword but it was not touching them and Mike was also tanking the big hits with his shield. When I got close to him I took the rectangle shield I clearly robbed before to tank the attacks with him.

- Me : "You have to listen to me well, I'm gonna upgrade your shield and equipment, whatever he does, do not stop to tank"

- Mike : "Trusting a coward like you is really hard but I'll try, but wait a minute what are you gonna do while we risk our life, don't tell me you just gonna bow him from afar"

- Me : "Even if I wanted to, I can't, I don't have a lot of arrows left, I'm gonna use my whip to damage him quickly, I will try to be as precise as possible, you have to protect me because else it's not gonna work"

- Mike : "Tchhh sure, you can upgrade my equipment, you better not put anything weird on it"

While I was tanking as I could with my [defense] and [protection] square shield but I was clearly not as good as Mike. I put the exact same upgrade on Mike's shield, I also put [evasion] and [protection] on his armor so that he could e safe from death if the boss try a really big attack.

- Me : "It's done, you can go back to your place"

- Mike : "You better don't touch me with your whip"

We exchanged places and I took my whip out to start hitting the boss with the same usual speed and precision as before. I moved while doing it so that I did not hit either Mike or the two other guys but just the boss. Everything was going pretty well, the big sword of the boss was not enough to destroy the shield even in berserk mode.

With this technique of continuous attack and blocking the boss we got rid of him pretty efficiently. Too bad for us it seems like the night was already there, so we had to hurry back to the village to not get in trouble.

- Mike : "We finally finished the boss, Okay I have to admit that you were useful, how about we share the money and we end it for today"

- Me : "Okay sure, I'm gonna collect the corpses, you can help if you want to"

I then started running, collecting corpses, even those on fire, and putting them in my bags, for those which were too heavy I buried them in a hided place.

- The first : "You sure it's not better to kill him ?"

- Mike : "You saw what he was able to do, we will win much more by being with him"

- The second : "I agree with Mike on that one"

- Mike : "Okay so we will form a team with him until we have enough rank and money"

- Me : "I'm back guys, it seems like you decided to pile up the corpse"

They made a little pile with the boss and the other creature that we fought which made it easier to carry even though I already had 4 bags on my back.

- Mike : "Huh we decided that we could form a team if you are good with it"

- Me : "You finally stopped to try and kill me, it's okay to me, more people = more money"

- Lanos : "Okay then, I'm Lanos, I usually guard small villages or hunt small monsters, happy to be with you" (the bigger guy)

- Aryna : "I'm Aryna, a mercenary that hunts monsters too, happy to form a new team"

- Me : "I'm Kein, I just hunt monsters and do quests, I am quite new to this so hope you all can help me improve"

After politely exchanging a few words we decided to bury the corpses we couldn't take with us and to go back to the little village for the night. It was maybe not the best idea to form a team with those three but I can do more quests if I have them with me. They could be a good opportunity to level up my power fast just as I did before, with the boss from today I had now level two in my power upgrade but it was far from enough.
