Parallel Nobita

Nobita noticed that Ken couldn't comprehend the language of this world. And because Nobita had Doraemon's spare pocket, he gave Ken a translation gum, allowing Ken to understand the language of the people in this world.

Nobita and Ken were waiting for Doraemon in the prince's room. 

The Anywhere Door appeared, and Prince Thio returned to his world with Doraemon. They were about to swap with Nobita when they saw someone else with him in his room.

Ken was surprised to see someone who looked just like Nobita.

"Nobita, who is this?" Prince Thio asked as he approached the two.

Doraemon also followed, staring at Ken curiously.

"Ah! This guy is from Earth and accidentally ended up in this world!" Nobita explained without much thought.

Prince Thio nodded, faintly understanding, but Doraemon asked Ken in surprise, "Is that true?" Doraemon wondered if there was still a place on Earth mysteriously connected to this world in an unknown era.

Ken shook his head and explained in detail, "Actually, I came from a world parallel to yours."

Nobita and Prince Thio were about to nod, but as they processed the words, they realized they didn't understand.

Doraemon was even more surprised. "Which means you're from a parallel world parallel to ours!?"

Ken nodded, and Doraemon was quite shocked.

"Yes. Actually, I also know you from my world, Doraemon," Ken said with a smile.

Why did he suddenly reveal this? Well, Ken wasn't too worried since this Doraemon is not the Doraemon he knows. Even if this Doraemon tried to communicate with his world's Doraemon, he could explain that he got into this world by accident. But it doesn't mean that this Doraemon has the ability to go to his world anyway.

"Really!?" Doraemon was shocked at first, then he asked eagerly, "What am I like in your world!?"

While Prince Thio and Nobita still didn't understand what Ken and Doraemon's words meant.

Ken touched his chin and said, "Nothing different. You two are exactly the same."

"Oh!" Doraemon was kind of excited at first, but then he suddenly thought of something. He said, "If that's the case... If the space connection between this world and your world is already sealed, then I may not have the ability to bring you back..." Doraemon said hesitantly to Ken.

"What do you mean, Doraemon?" Nobita was confused and said, "Aren't our worlds connected..."

Before Nobita could finish, Doraemon shook his head and interrupted, "That's not the case, Nobita. His world is different from ours, a parallel of our world."

Nobita was still confused, and there was nothing to be said to Prince Thio, who didn't understand a thing.

Seeing this, Doraemon explained further.

"Think of it like this: Ken's world and our world feel exactly the same with little differences..." Doraemon stopped and looked at Nobita and Prince Thio, who had confusion etched on their faces, so Doraemon continued, "But even if it's a small difference, it's this difference that really sets our world and Ken's world apart. For example, in Ken's world, he knows a Doraemon who is me but actually not me but the parallel me, and he may also know you, Nobita, but it's not you who knows him but the Nobita of his world." Doraemon explained in a series of words.

"I... I still don't understand..." Nobita said.

Doraemon felt helpless and just said, "It just means that Ken's world and our world aren't the same."

After saying this, Nobita suddenly felt he understood. "So that's how it is..."

Ken nodded along with Doraemon. Ken finally fully experienced the true power of the always-zero Nobita's power.

Nobita asked Doraemon to use the Anywhere Door, but Doraemon shook his head since Ken's world and their world may look exactly the same but they're actually from parallel universes... They're not even galaxies apart but universes apart.

One can only imagine just how far apart they actually are.

But Ken reassured Doraemon when he saw Doraemon racking his brains to help him out. "Don't worry too much, Doraemon. I actually have ways to return to my world anytime."

Doraemon stopped fussing around and stared at Ken, "Really!?"

Nobita, who also heard it, asked, "If you can return anytime, why did you seek help from me!? And you said you accidentally got here!?"

Ken awkwardly laughed, "Haha... I actually don't need your help to return to my world, but it's you who insisted. Besides, I lied about accidentally getting here out of caution... You never know if you, Nobita, and the Doraemon of your world are different and might be a bit worse compared to the Doraemon in my world, so I made that excuse. Now that I see there's not much difference, I felt at ease to tell you." Ken explained, despite the fact that he just made an excuse for no reason.

Eh? Nobita and Doraemon looked at Ken thoughtfully.

Ken came to a surprising conclusion as he observed Nobita's reactions. It was clear that this Nobita was not the one he knew, especially since the Nobita in front of him could understand him perfectly, indicating that he must have eaten a translation gum – a magical gum granting the ability to comprehend any language.

Seeing the fear in Nobita's eyes, Ken was bewildered when a girl suddenly confronted him, speaking in an unknown language. Nobita, on the other hand, was ready to bolt if this soldier revealed his true identity.

Kuku scolded Ken, saying, "You're a soldier! You should show respect to the prince!"

Struggling with the language barrier, Ken turned to the parallel world Nobita with a perplexed expression. "I apologize, Nobita! You may not be the Nobita I know, but please help me understand what she's saying," Ken implored.

Nobita, who had closed his eyes and devised an escape plan, was taken aback by Ken's statement. "Wait, so you don't understand them?" Nobita inquired, looking at Ken.

Kuku, thinking that Nobita was addressing her, was surprised to see him looking at the disrespectful soldier. She, too, comprehended Nobita's words, even though Ken, who only understood Japanese and English, could understand them thanks to Nobita having eaten a translation gum.

"Yes! I also came from Earth, but it's not exactly the same for us; your world is the parallel world of my world," Ken explained, though Kuku and the children couldn't make sense of his words.

Seeing Nobita grasp such a mysterious language, Kuku believed that the soldier was speaking the language of the gods.

"What? I don't get it at all," Nobita struggled to comprehend Ken's words, leading Kuku to believe that he didn't understand the soldier's language, just like them.

While Nobita understood Ken's words perfectly, the concept of parallel worlds and other complex ideas overwhelmed his mind.

Ken couldn't help but think, 'This guy truly deserves the "always zero" award.' He shook his head in exasperation.

"That doesn't mean you came from Earth? It's as simple as that!" Nobita declared righteously.

Ken, feeling helpless, could only nod and reply, "You're right. I came from Earth."

Nobita couldn't help but feel a bit smug as he asked, "Then what's the need to complicate stuff?"

Ken had the urge to slap the smug expression right off Nobita's face. This was no time for simplicity, after all.

Nobita's curiosity got the better of him, and he inquired, "How are you able to get here?"

Ken wasn't entirely sure how to explain his predicament, so he settled for saying, "I actually... accidentally got here."

Nobita's curiosity grew even more intense, and he probed further, "Accidentally?"

Ken nodded, and Nobita's curiosity was piqued.

"Then let's wait for Doraemon to come back. He'll surely help you get back to your world," Nobita suggested, nodding. He didn't want to risk taking Ken to the time hole where Earth's timeline connected to this unknown era, as he still had to maintain his prince disguise. It was best to let Doraemon handle Ken's situation when he returned.

Ken let out a sigh at Nobita's behavior. Sigh... were all Nobitas in all worlds like this, including parallel world Nobitas?

Maybe not. He recalled an episode where Nobita encountered a genius version of himself in a parallel world. However, in that case, the parallel world Nobita was a girl.

Meanwhile, the Nobita look-alike, Prince Thio, strolled through the streets of Nerima Ward. He was awed by the tall buildings, house structures, and street layouts. The creatures moving along the roads were unlike anything he had ever seen.

Their skin resembled armor, and they had four round legs that allowed them to dart across the road at astonishing speeds. An enormous creature (a truck) even chased after him, putting his life in danger. Thankfully, the wizard raccoon came to his rescue, lifting him into the sky. From this vantage point, he was shocked to see that the high-speed creatures and the one that had pursued him were just a few among many in this strange wizard world.

After exploring this place, it was finally time for him to return to his own world.
