Chapter 1
It was early morning, the Sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon, and the birds were beginning to chirp happily, happy for another day.
As soon as the first rays of sunlight began to filter through the blinds, the alarm clock rang. The sound of which was always incredibly obnoxious.
Slowly opening my eyes, I stared at the alarm clock bouncing with zeal, whose piercing trill bit into my awakened consciousness like a drill.
Finally realizing what was going on, I reached out from under the blanket and flicked the switch, and the room was blissfully silent.
I finally got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash my face. I opened the faucet and looked at myself in the mirror, waiting for the hot water.
I was a pretty good-looking guy of fifteen, though you couldn't really tell. After all, because I constantly go to the gym to be in shape, my height is 175 centimeters, and weight because of the muscle mass is 82 kilograms. And that's at my age.
However, I have always considered myself special, especially against the background of other peers. Although, can I be considered special against the background of all the green monsters, unfrozen superheroes and men in incredibly technological suits, and a bunch of people with supernatural powers that call themselves "X-Men".
I think you can, because not everyone has a photographic memory and a high IQ to fully utilize the potential of their brain. After all, despite my young age, I already have an excellent grasp of engineering, genetic engineering, mechanics, chemistry and other related knowledge.
- Peter, will you be there soon? - Aunt May's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and only then did I notice that the hot water was coming from the faucet.
- It's almost done, Aunt May! - I replied instantly, and then began to wash my face.
As you can see, my name is Peter, Peter Benjamin Parker. I am the son of Richard and Mary Parker, who unfortunately died in my infancy. After that I was raised by my uncle and aunt, May and Ben Parker. Although a few years ago, my uncle died in the service, after which I was raised by my aunt alone.
After I finished washing my face, I quickly put on my clothes and made my way to the kitchen where breakfast was already prepared.
- Good morning Aunt May! - I greeted my aunt.
By the way, even though my aunt is 38 years old, she doesn't look like that at all. And because she has many hobbies and leads an active lifestyle, she is very slim. That's why she never has an outpouring of suitors, but she always ignores them to bring me up. That's why I sometimes feel guilty towards her....
I went to Midtown School of Science and Technology, but unlike other days, today I didn't have to go to school. Because today we were scheduled to attend the Stark Expo science fair. This expo is held to showcase all the projects that Stark Industries is doing.
After having a quick breakfast, I said goodbye to Aunt May, remembering to give her one last kiss on the cheek since she always makes me do that, then I got on the bus and went to the expo.
When I arrived, many students from our school were already there, looking at the exhibits.
A girl I've had a soft spot for for some time now was also present. She was a slender, beautiful blonde with a fairly high IQ, and her name was Gwen Stacy. Unfortunately, because she was in a parallel class, I was never able to strike up a conversation with her, as she was incredibly popular, and was always in the circle of friends. And besides, I had never been in a relationship before, so talking to the object of my affection caused me a little fear. I was pretty popular with the girls, though. At least they pay attention to me all the time.
But guys on the contrary dislike me, because I'm quite smart. That's why I often hear them whispering behind my back that I'm a baton. But these cowards do not have the courage to say it to my face, although they can be understood, because most of them are almost a head shorter than me.
Looking at Gwen, I thought it was a good chance to talk to her, since she was all alone. I made up my mind and started walking towards her. And now, when there were literally ten meters between us, her friends surrounded her and started to lead her away.
Well, I remained standing in place like a dug, watching as the object of my admiration is moving away from me further and further away. Suddenly, I noticed how Gwen jerked her hand, after which a rather large insect with bright coloring flew off it, which quickly ran away under the racks, and Gwen began to rub her hand in the area of the hand. Apparently she had been bitten.
Knowing how dangerous an insect bite can be, especially brightly colored insects, I started looking for it just in case. Gwen herself had already moved pretty far away, which is pretty stupid of her not to catch whatever bit her.
After a minute of searching, I found the insect. It was a spider with a blue-red coloring, and to my surprise I had never seen one of those anywhere. So I knew immediately that it was an artificially bred specimen. And there was a good chance it was an escaped genetic engineering exhibit.
Taking out one of the flasks that I always carry with me just in case, I glassed the spider with a stick, and tightly corked the lid, put it in my backpack, in order to study it in the school laboratory. After all, it's not every day you get to find such valuable exhibits.
After walking around the exhibit for a couple hours, I didn't find anything else interesting. I didn't see Gwen again, so I decided that I had nothing more to do here, so I went home.
