I'm talking to you...

Anna kept blinking without giving him a reply

(Snap!!!) he snapped his fingers and Anna finally came back to reality. She stared at him for a while before opening her mouth to speak.

Oh yeah... I... urrm... what... what...Anna blabbered and the boy laughed at her silliness. Anna's ears revealed a light shade of red which disappeared as soon as it came

"I asked if you were talking to me" he repeated in between in his laughter and Anna could only look away in embarrassment before speaking again.

Well, yeah I was.. I was talking to you.

Oh , I'm really sorry for sitting on your seat...it's just that I love the environment around this spot. You know you chose a nice spot for a seat, It's just so peaceful sitting by the window where there is sunlight,cool breeze and a nice view. I fell in love with it and sat on it without thinking that it might be taken.

I'm so sorry, he repeated making a cute face which made Anna feel weak in the knees.

He stood up,gave a light bow then turned to pack up his books and leave the seat.

Gentle soul cried out inside Anna

"would you really let him go "

"He even made a puppy eyes"

"You can't afford to hurt him on his first day at school and besides you don't want to gain attention cause those girls will make you pay for making him stand up for you, you know that we don't want that"

Anna had no choice but to stop him.

"Wait"! she blurted. Pointing her finger to the chair she said. "You can use the seat I'll just find somewhere to sit".

Oh really,can I? he asked in a joyful tone then his face changed from joyful to remorse.

Where would you sit, there is no empty chair left. Never mind, I'll just go and tell the teacher that I don't have a seat.

Anna frowned and said in her mind "f**k! that's going to make people notice me".

Then she spoke again in shyness,

Errrm, there is no need for that, I'm not feeling too well so I'll just go home and rest you can sit there today.

But...

Without giving him the chance to refuse,she grabbed her bag and walked out of the class.

" I was just about to say no and walk out but she stole my lines", the boy said in a dejected tone and stared at the space Anna stood before she left then he gave a chuckle and mumbled to himself.

"She's cute tho.." he said and sat down with smiles written all over his face

Anna didn't leave immediately, instead she stood few metres away from the classroom's door and stared at the boy for a while. She noticed just then that he said something but she could only make out the word "cute" from his mouth and he smiled making Anna's heart skip a beat. Biting her lips, she quietly walked away.
