A shuriken flew through the air. It is an unexpected angle. The moment it was so close to him, Logan's eyes widened - not because of the sharp weapon that carried death, but because of the thing that jumped out of the shadows. A line of text that should not exist in this world appeared behind him. [To be continued...] "To be continued?" Update Schedule: 4chp/1week Mon,Wed.Fri,Sun.

Chapter 95 To The Land of the Moon

The wheel of time turns slowly, the earth remains still, stars shift, and clear skies and cloudy weather change above, with the shadows of all things cycling endlessly.

Perhaps the monsoon wind blows from the sea and then from the depths of the land, as pages of the calendar are torn off one by one. Logan has spent year after year in various foreign lands far from his familiar territory.

Logan was alone, and had no interest in finding those few destined individuals for Akatsuki. He only focused on training, while taking on high-paying missions along the way. The passage of time felt both fast and slow, and through constant travel, he adapted. The clothes he was wearing had already been worn, so he no longer wore the same clothes from the beginning, and his footprints covered small countries he had never even heard of.

Unlike his days in the ANBU, where he came and went with killing intent, Logan was unknowingly close to completing the feat of traveling around the continent—a goal he never considered achieving on the more convenient Earth.

Relying on persistence and a clear time limit, Logan's resolve did not waver like falling leaves. The scroll of forbidden techniques he brought with him became worn out, but his hope for another world that was originally his own would not disappear.

"This is the amount the organization needs."

"I understand, sir. I will pass it on as soon as possible."

Coming out of the underground black market in the hidden, closed down tavern, Logan stretched lazily in the nice weather. He had just finished dealing with an Akatsuki's subordinate and handed over a hefty sum.

'If I hadn't thought about buying a house or a car here, I'd really consider keeping that large sum for myself...' Logan thought idly, holding a paper given to him by a contact in the black market.

Right now, he was wearing ordinary clothes, as Akatsuki's iconic cloak was only suitable for showing off on specific occasions. While it was stylish, Logan opted for convenience to avoid trouble. Anyway, no one cares about him outside, and Pain is not a high school's discipline inspection teacher who will try to catch him if he doesn't wear uniform.

Without even looking at the paper, Logan knew it was another assignment from the organization. Logan has done all kinds of weird commissions now. As long as the pay was high, there is nothing he can't do, so that he had become desensitized to the final string of numbers that appeared on the requests.

Putting the paper into his pocket, Logan walked out of the alley onto a brighter street, bustling with daily life. The vendors' calls were scattered and half-hearted. It can be said that apart from the major cities in the Land of Fire, other places were more or less the same.

When passing by a shop window, Logan caught a glimpse of his reflection and stopped to touch his face.

"Not much has changed in my appearance. It's been so many years since 'that time,' and I still look the same." Logan clicked his tongue, "What a strange setting."

In the reflection of the window stood a casual yet upright figure, with a youthful face mixed with traces of adolescence and maturity. Anyone who knew him would be both surprised and attracted by this sight.

Through continuous training, aside from discovering that bottleneck in Chakra is incredibly hard to train, Logan's appearance remained unchanged, still looking like an eighteen-year-old.

It felt quite unscientific, but not aging wasn't a bad thing. After accepting this phenomenon, Logan speculated it might be related to the other world.

Because in modern society, he was still eighteen. Was it that here, ages changed but there, time stood still?

After having a meal at a stall, Logan returned to his lodging to pack his belongings.

It was an ordinary backpack. Before, it was a wear-resistant and thick military backpack, but it was torn in a conflict and was patched up numerous times, but in the end, it was too broken to be used.

Logan recalled the persistent tails that followed him during his first year away from the village. He didn't know how many groups had come after him.

Through their interactions, Logan eventually discovered it was Danzo behind the schemes. However, the people on his side remained unfruitful, with pursuers often not returning. Meanwhile, Logan's timely intelligence reports to Konoha never ceased, remaining calm and steady.

Logan felt that Danzo probably grew weary of this and was waiting for him to come back and deal with him.

As his strength grew, Logan's worries about potential threats also gradually diminished.

The paper was flipped through at this time. After looking at it, he muttered to himself, "A divided samurai clan, the branch family amassed great wealth through business. After years of conflict accumulating, the branch family no longer wants to bear the annual expenses for the main family's samurai training, seeking status..."

'So basically, it's about helping the wealthy new generation deal with the old landlords exploiting them.' Logan nodded to himself, 'I wonder if these people forced the marriage to be canceled or something when they separated decades ago. The drama of 'thirty years in Hedong and 30 years in Hexi, don't bully the young and poor'...'

Logan walked on, taking out a map and checking it. It was a random purchase, so he didn't know if it was accurate. If he took the wrong route, he'd just correct it. With enough experience, he learned not to rush regarding this kind of thing.

The target location was the Land of the Moon, which is bordered by the sea on both sides.

'Currently, I'm in the Land of Iron. Walking there… it seems taking a boat would be better.'

He unconsciously touched the scabbard tied to his thigh. This was his habit since he got the short sword, even though it was new and he didn't have it for a long time.

The cold touch can be felt even through the leather. Logan was quite satisfied with the cold, sharp blade he had acquired. After numerous pestering attempts, Sasori finally agreed to help in exchange for a significant amount of puppet materials.

Filling the void of lacking an excellent weapon, Logan was very fond of this unnamed short sword. Even though he was just adapting to its usage now, and his current swordsmanship didn't even allow him to get started with Silver Flash, he still took it out for practices from time to time.

His journey this time was filled with many moments, from picturesque scenes of moonlit valleys and shimmering lake surfaces, to appreciating the tranquility that came when he wasn't constantly fighting.

Logan wandered through the strait between the Land of Iron and the Land of Moon, and after landing, he followed the process very familiarly, and the battle soon came unreservedly.
