This is all a Misunderstanding!

The page looked through his monocle to examine Cinderella's legs. He was leaning against the banister but his legs were still completely visible.

The page was excited as he called, "I've been ordered by the prince to try this glass slipper on every maiden in the kingdom." He proceeded to walk toward the stairs the glass slipper held out.

Cinderella was at a loss for what he was supposed to do here. 'Are you kidding me! This can't be happening! This is all some sick joke. That's it, this is all some sick joke.'

"I'm sorry sir but you have the wrong person. I've never been to any ball, nor do I own such a slipper." Cinderella expressed his apologies before an internal sadness as he listened to the silky voice left his month different from his always rough one.

"I didn't ever bring up this being lost at a ball. I'm still required to try this slipper on you."

'Are you kidding!' "The ball was only an assumption."

"Sir, you shouldn't waste your time on her, there is no way she is the lady you are looking for." The step-mother expressed a scorn directed at Cinderella.

"Mistress is correct, if you could excuse me I need to finish the chorus." He took this as his chance to escape his fate. He turned away from every and walked back towards the room to finish cleaning.

"I can't allow that!" The page ran upstairs followed immediately by the step-mother and sisters.

"Sir!" The four of them tried to dissuade the page from trying the slipper on Cinderella.

It got to the point they began pushing and block the way of the page.

'I just wanted to clean! I don't want to be married to another guy, I'm not gay!' He was internally crying hoping that at some point he would be taken away from this nightmare.

"Fine try the slipper and when it fails I want to go back to cleaning." He tried to make a compromise as if he remembered correctly from the movie the stepmother will break the slipper.

When the page bent down to put on the slipper he "tripped" which caused the slipper to fall to the ground and shatter. A look of relief spread across Cinderella's face while the stepmother looked on in happiness.

"That's too bad." He commented before he stood up and went back to finish cleaning. 'Perfect, and with the other slipper with me, I won't have to be Cinderella. I can now live a life of cleaning.'

All dreams are doomed to fail here though. Cinderella's three mice climbed up his dress and got the slipper out of his rags. His look of relief distorted immediately replaced by a stupified look.

The page accepted the slipper from the mice and looked toward Cinderella with a jubilant smile. "You had the other slipper this whole time, you must be her."

"I have no clue what you are talking about."

"No, you must be the lady from the ball."

"No you must be mistaken, I'm only a poor maid." This was echoed by the stepmother and sisters, they couldn't accept that Cinderella was the one the Prince was looking for.

"If you're so confident you must be willing to try this slipper and show me."

"I would be greatly willing but my dirty foot is unworthy of such a beautiful shoe."

"You were willing for the first one though."

"That was too long ago, this one is much more beautiful than the first one."

"They look the exact same."

At a loss, he grabbed the slipper from the page and threw it against the ground. It didn't break, there wasn't even a scratch, he no longer knew what to do. He fell back onto the bed from mental exhaustion. Then by the magic his leg was lifted and the heel slid right on.

"It fits, you are the lady from the ball!"

'Are you kidding me? SERIOUSLY!'

He went on to marry the prince less than a week later. It took a lot of convincing but after being offered a job of being a maid forever he greatly accepted. Then that next moment he kicked from the game. A gay kiss was hard but the benefits outweighed the cost.

"NO! This can't be happening to me!" The room was dark, the power had gone out. He gave away his first kiss to another guy and got nothing from it.

"Fate why you do this to me!"

So I guess this story was actually only two chapters, sorry. This got much more attention than I expected.
