Today was Saturday, I woke up beside Lukas on the sofa. I looked at him and he looks so calm and serene while sleeping. He must have suffered a lot if he hasn't woken up yet.
I went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast for the two of us.
Few minutes later, Lukas came into the kitchen barely walking steadily. He asked me where he was and what was he doing here. I answered him while holding tight to his arm so he won't faint.
"You should've stayed in bed, breakfast is almost ready. You should stay here for a few days to heal."
"I can't remember anything. Everything is in fragments. I want to find someone. but I don't remember anything about him." Lukas said.
"Don't worry, take one step at a time. You have amnesia. It will take time to get your memory back." I answered calmly.
"Just stay here for a few days, you might remember something." I smiled.
He nodded and asked me, "What's your name?" I answered, Anna. We introduced ourselves and had a little chat. It feels nice to have a guest here.
"How is your headache? Is it still painful?" I asked. He said, " A little bit, it feels achy. When it comes, it's piercing pain especially if I tried to remember something." I gently held his hand and said, "If you can't remember anything, that is okay. Don't force yourself."
He scanned around the room and spotted my newly bought peony flower pot and said, "I love peony flowers, they are really pretty. It feels familiar but I can't remember." I said, "No worries, your memory will come back. Don't rush it."
Evening came, I came back from grocery shopping and I was exhausted. I took a look around the living room but Lukas wasn't there. There was no sign of him, did he leave? I placed all of my groceries on the counter and went around the bedroom. Still no signs. Where could he be? Suddenly, I heard a loud thud coming from my father's room. Lukas started to tremble, his body shook pretty badly, and he was breathing heavily.
"Did you remember anything?" I asked. Lukas started to stutter, "I-I-I killed him...I killed him... I killed him... I killed him..."
"Lukas, take a deep breath. Follow me. You will be alright, okay?" I gently hugged him after he calmed down. After he calmed down, he cried.
Later, I asked, "Do you remember anything?" He replied, "I remembered I killed someone but I don't know who. When I suddenly came into this room, my body automatically trembled. I don't know why."
I replied, "This is my father's room. He passed away when I was 14 years old. He was killed. Did you kill my father? Even if you don't remember, your body remembers. That's why you were so shaken up. You must be related somehow to my father's death."
Did he kill my father? He didn't seem so sure. Maybe when he remembers more, I will ask more questions.
"Take a rest, I will ask my friend to come over tomorrow since I need to train in the morning. We'll talk more after you remember. I believe you didn't kill my father, you're not that kind of a person." I said.
Well, I guess we will have to wait. I guess I should talk my boss about it since he might know something.
