ch.5: Conquerer of Flame and Ogres

Rimuru and Shizue are currently on a cliff near the goblin village, and Shiraori's inside a temporary new built small house, laying on a bed. If anyone sees her, they would surely assume she's sleeping but she's not, she's observing and listening to Rimuru and Shizue sharing a bit of their life experiences and Rimuru showed Shizue the current state of Japan after the war.

Shiraori knew that Shizue was also Rimuru's Destined One, so she let them talk a bit and she knew Shizue's dying.

Day later, Kaval's party was about leave and now waiting for Shizue and Eren, together with Rigurd and Rimuru in Shiraori's arms. Once the two arrived, Shizue couldn't hold on Ifrit any longer, her body moved like she was drunk.

Everyone was worried her, only Shizue and Shiraori knew what's happening. Shizue's mask cracked and she screamed in pain, then she was covered in a fire pillar as the sky turned dark by the dark clouds.

Rimuru told Rigurd to evacuate everyone as he jump from Shiraori's arms and told her to evacuate as well. Shiraori walk towards behind them in a not so far distance from them. Rimuru was happy that she listens to him, but that's half wrong.

Shiraori made a couch appeared out of nowhere with 3 soft pillows, she sat on the couch and made chips appeared out of nowhere on her hands, she watches Rimuru deal with the fire spirit.

'Is this girl serious?!' Rimuru shouted in his mind as he saw Shiraori munching some chips in a couch while a pillow on her lap as if she's watching a movie at home.

'Damn that pillow! That should've been me!' Rimuru exclaimed in his head, getting jealous of a nonliving thing on Shiraori's lap.

Rimuru then turn his focus on Shizue who is now floating without her mask, a moment later, her body was once again cover in flame and transform into Ifrit. Ifrit summoned his salamanders.

Few minutes later, the fight was over with Rimuru devouring Ifrit, and went to check Shizue's condition. Rimuru look at Shiraori who just finished her chips, she stood up and the couch and pillows collapse then turned to dust.

They brought the unconscious Shizue to a small hut. Once she woke up, she saw Rimuru beside her, she could get up and she knew her time was up. So she told Rimuru her story and about the children.

Shiraori only give them some space to talk, she could save Shizue if she wants but she wouldn't because she wanted Rimuru for herself alone for now, but she'll Reincarnate her in a random world and put a fragment of her soul to Shizue's soul so that she could find her easily with Rimuru.

As Shiraori expected, Shizue let Rimuru devour her and Rimuru gain a human form as a result.

Days later, Kaval's party decided to leave and report about Shizue's death, Rimuru gave them some better equipment to replace the 'trash' they called equipment.

Rimuru was walking with Shiraori beside him, they saw Rigur's party and told them that his joining the feast tonight. Rimuru was lost in his thoughts, he turned to his slime form and jump on to Shiraori's arms, he did all the subconsciously and now he's blushing upon realizing what he did.

They went towards Veldora's cave to test Rimuru's new skills, he turned to his human form while wearing Shizue's mask and began the testings. After awhile, Rimuru stopped when he heard Ranga's voice in his head asking for help.

Rimuru ran towards Ranga's location, Shiraori didn't follow him. But when Rimuru arrived at Rigur's hunting party, Shiraori teleported on a tree branch and sit on it. She saw Gabta apologizing and begging to Rimuru for a healing potion.

Shiraori shifts her gaze to the 6 ogres.

'Oni... Nah, there probably ogres 'cause they don't look human at all. Oni-kun had a human appeared except his horns, and he said he look buff when he was an ogre.' Shiraori though.

Once again she watch Rimuru who order Ranga to corner the pink ogre, while he will deal with 5 remaining ogres. Three ogres were easily beaten by Rimuru making it only two left, the red young master ogre and the white old geezer.

Rimuru being Rimuru, he offer to talk things out since before the fight until now. the old geezer vanished and appeared in front of Rimuru to cut his head off.

unfortunately for the old geezer, Shiraori appeared between him and Rimuru, she catches the old geezer's sword with her left hand and shattered it as she tightened her grip.

She knew that Rimuru could avoid getting his head cut, but his arm will cut instead and still unharm. She want to watch Rimuru fight, but she don't like it if someone mess with his body.

The old geezer and the young master was surprised. Shiraori opens her eyes and didn't stare directly to the two ogres so that they can bear the terror.

"I'm sure you're willing to talk now, right?" asked Shiraori in a bit annoyed tone. Usually, her words were pausable especially with people she don't know, but that doesn't mean she can't talk properly. Everyone present felt the terror after she opened her eyes, except Rimuru and Ranga. And as for Gobta.... he passed out.

It's Ranga was also protected by Shiraori because of two reasons. First, she thought he is cute and adorable giant puppy. Second, he is Rimuru's pet. After a few seconds, she closed her eyes and move beside Rimuru, and everyone who remained awake breath heavily.

"Bro... brother... I think... we should... listen... to them..." said the pink ogre as she catches some air to breathe.

"She's right, young master... They're too strong for us, especially that human girl. But I don't sense any power from her." said the old geezer.

Rimuru then introduce himself and Shiraori, he revealed his race, he ask them to join their feast for tonight and they could discuss about why they attacked him. But he asked the pink ogre to deactivate her skill and the sleeping goblins and wolves woke up except Gobta who had some bubbles of saliva on his mouth.
