"Lin?", the teenager said.

{ Yes! My name is Lin! }

"…", the boy seemed to be deep in his own thought while looking strangely at Lin.

The system only looked innocently back, not knowing what he was thinking right at this moment.

This was obviously a stupid question, and Lin showed with her face how stupid it was. She looked disdainful at him but changed her expression when she thought about something.

The boy asked it casually, knowing it was stupid didn't know he would get such a reaction.

"I'm- I'm not stupid!", he shouted, but Lin only looked at him as she saw something pitiful.

"I mean, shouldn't you have a name like 007 or 666? But instead, you got like a name WITH letters. Or maybe I mean, shouldn't I like give you a name because you won't have one. Ain't that what should happen normally?", the teenager looked quite confident with his reason, and believed what he said was totally logical.

{ Firstly, did I ever say I'm normal? }

The boy could only accept defeat after thinking a while. He did say the whole time that she was a weird system, so he definitely knew that the system before him was everything but normal.

{ Secondly, isn't it too boring to have such a name like 007? I'm too special to be called like that. }

Hearing her second defense he was once again sure that she wasn't normal. Who else would call herself special like her? It was like she was saying a fact that everyone in the whole world knew. And of course, no one knew!

{ And as last, I was afraid of your naming sense, so I decided to use my own name. }

The boy who was insulted was ready to explode: "My naming sense is great!"

{ Yeah, I totally believe you. }, her sarcasm was dripping out her mouth. Everyone could hear how much she didn't mean those words she spoke, but she didn't care and just acted further.

"You don't believe me, right?", he was ready to jump on the 10 cm girl and give her an experience that she won't ever forget, but the system could float and easily dodged the crazy attack from her host.

{ I'll listen to you're oh so great naming sense then. How would you call me if I didn't have a name? }

The boy felt like he was challenged by a duel and was ready to accept it.

"Okay, I'm thinking now!"

Lin waited for a while, but it seemed that he couldn't find an amazing name as he promised.

{ Still haven't found anything? }

"Shut up! I'm thinking."

Lin didn't say anything anymore and waited for him, but it was harder to search for a good name than the boy thought.

One minute passed

Two minutes passed

Three minutes passed

And five minutes finally passed before he opened his mouth to tell the amazing name he came up with, but before he could say it he was interrupted by Lin.

{ Don't think to name me as one of your favorite brands. }, her voice was light but heavy at the same time.

The teenager who came up with a brilliant idea shuddered when he heard her voice. Even the mouth who was opened closed.

{ Aren't you gonna tell me the name? }

"That…", the boy who was ready to say the name was now hesitating.

Lin seemed to notice it and was quiet for a while, but still asked the question: { Were you really planning to name me as one of your favorite brands? }

The boy could only nod his head a bit ashamed and admitted sadly and reluctantly: "Maybe I'm not as good at it as I believed."

Lin only gave him a look of pity but changed her attitude when she thought about what she still needed to do.

{ As you realized you didn't get any memories of the original one. }, the boy nodded hearing this and continued listening closely at the somehow serious Lin. { That is because his whole existence was erased including his memories. }

"Erased?", he asked quietly. "What do you mean by that?"

{ That is information you aren't allowed to know. }, Lin said with the coldest voice he ever heard.

[It was just a question.], he said to himself while forgetting that someone could read his mind.

Lin decided on her own to stop reading his mind and just to establish the bond so that he could communicate when he wants to, and she won't be invading his privacy.

{ That is why you will need to live without his memories. }

"Do I need to act that I have amnesia?", he asked cluelessly.

{ No, I'll help you. I'll give you the information you need to know, to know yourself better. Any questions? }, she asked to maybe help the confused boy, but it seemed that she would regret it after a second later.

"Ah, that's right. What's my name now?", forgetting the questions that he saved in his head, he asked the question Lin wanted to hear.

She smiled at the boy and answered his question with pleasure: { From now on, you would be known by the name Asher Chronoseus! }
