Colony Site 1005 , Year 3155 SE (Space Era)

"Zen."

"Huuh?! What you doing here, Vick?"

Zen whom are still on his leisure mood asked Vick whom just appear outta nowhere into his office.

"Well, Xavier asked me to tell me that you will check the abandoned site today."

Vick just walked away right after he deliver the message and instruction to Zen, as for what happened for now, it not of his business.

"Wait!!! At least gave me something for it. I thought my job there done already."

Somehow Zen felt like something probably happened but if that happens Xavier would just sent Vick directly there instead of informing him to patrol that area.

"I hope nothing bad happened there otherwise I'm and my whole team and whoever alive on that area is basically dead."

Zen just accepted his fate at this point and start moving towards the abandoned site in the colony with his team.

*Tinngggg*

One of the lift opened and a few people walk out from it.

For this people coming into this so called unused parts of the colony is their job.

Their job is to make sure everything function properly on this area as a mega project is being held here secretly.

They arrived inside a lab that has a bunch of scientists and a bunch of kids inside a tube with a mask covering their faces to support their breathing.

This tube contains a supersoldiers and one of them is Xavier's son. They here as a daily routine to checked on this section as well as making a report to Xavier.

"How everything going on? There nothing bad happens here right?"

Asked one of Xavier underling to a bunch of scientists that they recruited or kidnapped by forced.

This lab contains their greatest assets of all.

This lab is created so that Xavier can heal his son but later on due to the success on Project Valkyrie, he decided to change it course.

While they're researching a way to heal his son, they also created another team of supersoldiers and mechas for him as well.

This genetics experiments is based on all the data they gather so far, more than 20 years of hardwork is piled into this one team.

"Everything normal, all the subjects is good conditions."

The underling just listen to the explanation while he stared at the kids inside this big tubes that had all this blue liquids that created to support their genetics change.

"No abnormalities detected so far, as for their memories we already make it like they been together ever since they start to remember and this colony is their home."

One of the leading scientist answer his question without any fling of emotions.

Having work in this kinda of job for more than 13 years, he has long grow accustomed to this kind of environment.

Humans will do anything to survive and their biggest survival tools is how they adapts to the brutal environment.

For this scientists that is what they told themselves as guilts envelope them. All they do is pointing fingers to the one that forced them.

"That great, the brainwashing program will start in tomorrow."

"The interest on this documents and data is too high of a risk if you ask me, Rogan, but you know what Xavier always say."

The man just shaked his head as he no longer can knock some sense into Xavier's head.

"Hmmmm?? Why would you even care about it now Zen?"

He looks at the Xavier's underling and his team supervisor before he continue his words.

"Everything here is based on Project Valkyrie and Project Raptor. Those 2 groups is the best groups in our colony."

"Even though I personally dislike this idea but we need to do anything to survive."

"Especially...."

Zen decided to stop Dr. Rogan words before other misheard their conversation about what is happening behind the scenes.

"Let not talk about that. I gonna get going for now as for the other you know how to handle them."

Zen placed his right on the left shoulder of Rogan and walk away.

Nosaka and others now having a light exercises in the gym provided by this experiment facilities.

"Yoo, big brother Nosaka!"

Say Wolfran as he took his seat next to him.

Wolfran is one of the kids that stay in the same orphanage as him and Hiyori before they're kidnapped by those pirate and brought here.

"What is it? You rarely greet me unless it something important."

"Well, the preparation on my part just completed as for the other it probably gonna take a while."

Wolfran voice suddenly turned serious as he explains to Nosaka about his tasks.

"That good, any reaction from the Project Raptor?"

Nosaka stood up and change his exercise while Wolfran follow close behind him.

"They decided to act like nothing happened, they probably has their own surprise for Xavier."

"Hahaha, I wonder what that old b*st*rd reaction when both Project Valkyrie and Project Raptor literally escape from here."

Nosaka turned his head and looked at Wolfran.

"Let not think about that too much, we still have some time and others still haven't completed their tasks just yet."

"Alright, alright..... I will get going now big brother, I'm hungry."

Wolfran decided to find some excuse before Nosaka even begin his lecture.

The sound of footsteps now echo through the hall as Zen enter Xavier office.

Standing on the same office is Prof Jay, the leading scientist for the Project Valkyrie.

"Captain, Prof. Jay."

Zen just greeted them before continue with his report.

"Everything on the abandoned site has no problem, no abnormalities detected and they are moving to the next phase of the program."

Xavier didn't show any emotions even though he actually relief that his son experiment is doing well.

He only reply as if it just a simple command.

"Good, good. You can return to your station and inform the Valkyrie supervisor that I'm visiting that area tomorrow."

"That it for now, I and Prof. Jay have a discussion to talk about, you can leave."

Zen didn't really care much about Xavier's treatment on him.

"Yes sir, I will inform Project Valkyrie supervisor about your visit tomorrow."

Zen left the office and continued with his job.

After the dead of his wife, his son mostly live in a depressing environment that he created for himself.

Later on, it became too serious that his health slowly derogate, one day his son passed out right after he ate some food.

Xavier order his team to bring his son to the lab, after few times of medical checkup, the scientist and doctor confirm that his son suffer from heary of failure.

This slapped by reality and fate, make Xavier grits his teeth even though he unwilling to do so.

He order the lab staff to start a new experiment based on all data available just to make sure his son has a better health conditions. His decision since then has always haunted him.

Regret?

He just act like nothing happened. For him, either his wife or his son, he just have to choose.

He choose his son that why he can't let his son died prematurely as a kid.
