6.Zaban city
As the captain laughed Jade got up since the ship started rocking and already a few candidates had started falling off the ship, "huh? Is this some kind of test because the captain could've easily avoided this storm or I'm I over thinking" Jade pondered as he tried stabilising himself. As it continued for 5 minutes the majority of the candidates that came onto the ship was thrown off the ship, after a few more minutes the storm subsided and Jade saw the captain come out of the helm as he started looking around the ship to see the effects of the storm.
He then goes and talks to the kid with spiky hair Jade saw earlier as his surprised his unscathed as the kid says something which sparkles the captains eyes, afterwards as the captain is going back to the helm with the spiky haired kid he notices Jade and is also surprised as to how his unscathed too and ends up walking to him. "Oho kid it's pretty impressive that your still on the boat with how bad the storm was" the captain says with a sly look "I just held on to the rails captain it wasn't that difficult afterwards" Jade replied with a slight smile, "hmm either ways it's pretty impressive I'm walking back to the helm to teach this kid a little something do you wanna tag along?" "Sure".
As they walk back the kid with the spiky hair comes up to jade "hi how old are you", "I'm 12 you?" "I'm 12 too!" The kid with spiky hair then stuck out his hand "sorry I forgot to tell you my name I'm Gon Freecss" Jade then shook his hand "I'm Jade Elrich nice to meet you" Jade said with a smile, the captain saw how they got along a laughed. After 30 mins of teaching both Gon and Jade how to steer the ship the captain then exited the helm again and stated that a second storm is coming and it's much more dangerous than the first one he also pointed out that there's lifeboats for any candidates that want to quit.
As he said that the remaining candidates all rushed towards the remaining lifeboats and even some started fighting after awhile there was only 4 passengers left, the captain then gathered them " only the 4 of you remain, now then tell me what are you reasons for becoming a hunter?" The young man with the blonde hair refused to say. "Oho so you don't want to say? What if a said I'm an examiner" the captain said with an eyebrow raised the young man was caught of guard but after a short contemplation "I'm the last of the Kurta clan and my goal is to capture the phantom troupe" he said with clenched fist. As he said that the man with the glasses objected "you don't need a hunters license for that", "without a hunters license I wouldn't be able to get information on the phantom troupe" he said with a glare, "now now what your reason for becoming a hunter?"
Then the captain looked at the man with glasses " I like fancy stuff and by being a hunter it'll provide me a means" he said with a proud look, "no amount of money will be class" the young man remarked back. The middle aged man got furious and as he and the young man agreed to fight in the deck as the storm raged one of the crew members got knocked off boat.
The man with glasses ran towards the crew member followed behind by the young man as they failed to grab the crew member Gon jumped overboard and grabbed on him and since Gon was falling, the young man and man with glasses hurriedly grabbed each of Gon's legs and reprimanded him for his reckless behaviour. Afterwards they both apologised to each other threw Gon's mediation "hahahaha don't worry now I'll take you 4 to the port near Zaban city. After the captain docked the ship he said to Jade and Gon "both of you are promising young kids so head for a lone tree up a hill instead of taking the bus" the captain winked and waved leaving.
"Jade are you gonna follow his advice?" Gon said "yeah, he seems trustworthy" Jade said, "by the way these two next to me are kurapika and Leorio" Gon said as both of them shook Jade's hands "I'm Jade nice to meet you both", "nice to meet you too kid, you look about the same age as Gon" " I am" Jade replied. Afterwards as they all walked kurapika asked both Gon and Jade "are you both going to take the bus?" "Nah me and Jade are looking for a tree", "a tree?" Said kurapika with a questioning face.
"Well good luck to you all as I'm taking the bus see ya" Leorio said with a wave. After 30 minutes as they walked through Zaban city they saw Leorio running after them as he said "the bus doesn't go to Zaban city", later on they all walked through what seemed and abandoned town but Jade kurapika and Gon heard people around them, an old lady came up to them and asked all of them a question, but Gon kurapika and Leorio was stumped as they didn't know the answer "hurry up now you only have 5 seconds" the old lady said, Jade also contemplated the question but also couldn't find the answer but as he was about to say something the lady said "you passed" but all of them including Jade are dumbfound but find out why.
The lady said by not answering the question that was the correct answer she also then turned to Jade and said "young boy I knew you was about to say something but it's commendable as that's the right mentality" she also looked at Gon when she said that afterwards she shows them a path in which Jade and the rest all walked towards.
"Once you have passed you find a house in the forest" the old lady said. 4 hours passed as they saw a house as said by the old lady, when they went inside they see a man lying on the floor wounded and a woman being held by a beast immediately it ran away Leorio run towards the man and Jade, Gon and kurapika run after the beast as they are ran kurapika is shocked by both Jade and Gon's vision in the dark after abit of running they confront the beast, Gon leaps towards the beast and clubs it but the beast blocks it but failed to see Jade behind it as Jade kicks it in the back which forces it to release the wife.
Kurapika catches her and notices strange symbols on her, "there's nothing to worry about the husband is fine" Leorio says as he walks out of the bush as he comes out kurapika hits him in the face with a wooden sword which reveals leorio to be another beast. "How many of them are there?" Gon says with a frown, "lady who are you really?" Kurapika asks with a stare whilst gripping his wooden sword. "Wait don't these two creatures look identical?" Gon says "yeah they do" Jade also adds, "hohoho so you've found out" the two creatures arrive "to start off we both are the navigators" Gon and the red are shocked, "also the 'couple' you saved are our children".
"But worry not all four of you have passed", after they said Leorio arrives shortly after "ok now we'll take you to Zaban city" then the first creature takes Gon and Jade together and the other creature takes Leorio and Kurapika. Later on they arrive at a secret entrance, well this is where we can take you bye" the two kiriko's waved as they left.
