"Chains and whips..." Uvogin's eyes locked onto the whips, a determined look on his face. "You think the same moves will work on me again? You really underestimated me!"
He quickly ducked, dodging the long whip to avoid being caught in a "Forced Zetsu State", similar to the "binding middle finger chain." Most techniques from the "Conjuration" Type had strange effects like this.
Then, Uvogin squatted down, and with a swift motion, he dug his hands into the car's roof like shovels.
With a mighty roar, Uvogin released a powerful blast aimed at Germain!
"Uhhhhhh—"
The roar was intense, spreading far and wide, loud enough to burst eardrums, cause bleeding, and even affect the brain. It was one of Uvogin's ultimate moves.
However, Germain was prepared. As soon as he sensed Uvogin was about to roar, he focused his "Nen" around his ears for protection.
He also removed his "threaded cane," raised his hands to cover his ears, and defended himself just in time.
Despite his precautions, the roar still hurt his ears, leaving them ringing for a while.
Immediately after, Uvogin tightened his grip on the roof of the carriage, his veins and muscles bulging with strength.
In the next moment, he ripped the entire roof off the train, sending it soaring like a wave!
Germain, caught on the flying roof, lost his balance and stumbled backward as it tilted.
At that moment, a dark figure appeared behind him—it was Nobunaga, who had circled around from the other side of the carriage!
With perfect coordination, Nobunaga and Uvogin trapped Germain from both the front and back in an instant.
Nobunaga swung his long sword, aiming to slash the back of Germain's neck. The blade hummed, sharp and precise, ready to end the fight in one clean move.
But Germain had been on guard against Nobunaga the whole time and anticipated his sudden attack.
As Nobunaga's sword swung down, Germain quickly pulled out a "Firearm" with his left hand, turned, and fired straight at Nobunaga!
Bang—
The scattered bullets rushed toward Nobunaga, ominous and threatening!
Realizing something was off, Nobunaga swiftly retracted his sword, transforming it into a "Defense Dome" around him that could "cut anything within a 4m radius."
Countless flashes of sword light sliced through the air, sparks flying as Nobunaga managed to cut the tiny bullets to pieces or deflect them instantly!
He also countered Germain's "Firearm shot," which could force someone into a stiff state.
Germain took a quick glance and, without hesitation, leaped from the slanted roof of the carriage like a bat, landing on the left side. He kicked hard and jumped down the cliff.
Before his body fell, the "spider silk lasso" he created wrapped around the partition wall between the two windows of the back carriage.
He made the same choice as Kurapika, using the lasso to swing back to the next car.
However, instead of jumping onto the roof, he climbed into the car through the window.
This maneuver allowed him to break free from Uvogin and Nobunaga's encirclement before they could react.
"Damn, he's so agile," Nobunaga cursed, jumping onto the ground under the carriage and chasing him along the train tracks in his wooden clogs.
"Uvogin, there's a forest on this side of the train. I'll chase him this way to block his escape into the woods. There's a cliff on the other side. You stay on the roof of the carriage and keep an eye on him. Don't let him get away."
Uvogin jumped onto the train's roof, each step causing the metal to bend slightly.
"I told you not to give me orders! Do you really need to explain something so obvious?!"
Kurapika noticed that the back half of the train had come to a complete stop.
He looked around the carriage and saw frightened, crowded passengers and scattered luggage all over the floor.
People were either cautiously peering out of the windows or hiding under their seats in fear. They were startled when Kurapika, covered in blood, suddenly entered the carriage.
The blood on Kurapika was from passengers killed by Uvogin's "Big Bang Impact" earlier, but he was not hurt himself.
However, this appearance made him look wounded, which gained him some trust from the passengers.
When they realized Kurapika had no ill intentions, they exchanged fearful glances and began to talk amongst themselves again.
The atmosphere in the carriage was filled with panic, causing everyone to lose their sense of judgment.
The train had been speeding before, leaving them no choice. Now that the back half of the train had stopped, they could escape the carriage and hide in the nearby woods.
Kurapika prepared to help the crowd evacuate.
"I can blend in with the crowd... Uvogin and Nobunaga are so focused on chasing the teacher that they'll likely see everything in their way as mere obstacles to get through," he thought.
"If they ignore me, I can draw my blade and stab them, creating a chance for the teacher..."
As Kurapika walked through the carriage corridor, he occasionally exchanged glances with the confused passengers.
He was about to speak up loudly when the door at the rear of the carriage suddenly swung open.
Kurapika instinctively crouched down, hiding under a nearby seat, holding his breath and watching quietly.
Three men entered the carriage.
The first man had long, gelled golden hair that stood upright. He had a thin, horse-like face, glasses perched on his nose, and a strange smile constantly at the corners of his mouth.
The other two men, one with red hair and the other with black, both had symbols on their foreheads. The red-haired man's symbol resembled a bisexuality sign, while the black-haired man's symbol looked like a trident.
The three of them entered the carriage, calmly surveying the people inside, their eyes cold and calculating, like farmers looking at fat pigs ready for slaughter.
Kurapika focused on them, clearly sensing their auras, which confirmed that they were all "Nen users."
"These three must be the ones who caused the explosion in the back carriage. They're already here... This is a problem. They will definitely harm the teacher. I can't let them surround the teacher."
Kurapika frowned and scanned the area for a solution.
The man with long golden hair, named Genthru, adjusted his glasses and felt the panic in the carriage, sniffing with some satisfaction.
"Sub, Bara, gather these people together like before. We'll create another large human bomb. When that guy named Germain arrives, we'll detonate it here."
