Plans In Motion Pt 2

Hariric smiled amused. From that meeting he went to more. In the first chest were the books that were about the skin changer skill and many books about what were the foods that could grow in their climate although in reality these books were basically created by Hariric himself who thought it would be better to make use of these books.

This obviously brought a plan in his father's mind for what was the action of what was supposed to be the increase in Northern food production. A good plan if you had to say it. What Rickard didn't know is that Hariric had done his own thing again.

The different seeds he had obtained had a growth life a third shorter than the most normal foods and a cold resistance a third higher. He couldn't do much more but it was enough at least in Hariric's mind to be able to implement his plans. That there were several farms throughout the territory not only of the Stark house but also of the Dustin, Tallhart, Umber and Manderly.

To say that each house was surprised by the fact of what they received was fun of course but of course it was natural since no one expected it.

When it was explained in a few words the work of what was the way of establishing the farms near the different rivers or in the case of the Tallharts in the lake together with the Stark house meant a lot since they soon began to see large quantities of food.

The houses of the north in five years had finally stopped buying food from the south, which was excellent news. That along with the climate change led many little ones in the North to think that Hariric Stark was somehow an envoy of the ancient gods due to the fact that it was soon known that it was because of his actions that they now had food (it was Hariric himself who spread the word of his action of course).

But of course before all this was done Hariric had to implement his plan to make sure that the teachers and spies of the North did not dare to send a message to the south in any way. Information is power.

The best way to ensure that the North was protected was to contain as much as possible the information of the North being receiving large amounts of food so for this he did three completely different things but that at the same time were immensely useful to the North to prevent the spread of information.

For that he had taken three steps. Number one was to give the gentlemen of the Neek the book or rather a copy of the skin changers. This was done more than anything to be able to employ some as spies in the North. In return he also delivered the rice that could easily grow in the swamps of their lands. This not only earned the immense loyalty of these inhabitants but the ability to be able to support themselves fed, which was a considerable advantage.

With the skin changers he created his own spy network that his father supported and supported obviously but to prevent the crows from reaching the south he decided to take a step forward and in addition to that he did the incredible by creating a bird whistle. With this whistle you could easily control what was in short the journey of the crows. It was discovered that each master apparently intended to inform their bosses and at the same time there were numerous spies of the Dominion and the lands of the rivers.

The last mode of action was easily the most difficult of all that was obviously a plan still in progress deployed to its own agents in the south. Unlike the North hariric would never ask the lords of the Neek to endanger their people in the south in any of the ways. It could be many things but hariric would never put his people at risk because of what he was looking for and trying to find a way to be able to do such a thing without endangering his people.

With the food in his hands, Hariric soon began his second part of a plan and was to inform him that the mountain range that was south of Winterfell was plagued with gold, a whole mountain range? His father was shocked by it. So he did the obvious and wondered what to do to which hariric replied that with the gold that he still had on hand they could get workers from both the north and the south to work in a fortress and at the same time mine for the mountains.

Hariric wanted to completely rebuild Winterfell. It's not that Winterfell was wrong or anything but hariric felt that if the Starks wanted to send a message of power and strength they had to make it clear that they were the power and the complete ruling force of the North. His father and mother looked at him for a strange time until he showed what his plans were for the construction of possibly one of the most important and remarkable fortresses ever known in the whole world.

Operation Reconstruction was mostly based on magic. It was going to be the bastion of the Stark house. Not only did he want the place in such a protected way that not even the gods wanted to enter but much more.

The technique used for the construction was the most advanced for the future using techniques to create stone structures held by premium cement maintained by iron bars. Of course you also had to take into account the plumbing that was not only to keep the entire fortress with water but hot which was not easy at all if hariric.

The good news is that their Umbra worked fast. The first thing that was done was to tear down the two walls that surrounded the fortress and move them away enough, tripling in a few words the available space, which was a good idea. First, what was expected was done and the perimeter network was established for the two future defensive walls. The first would be a wall one hundred metres high and the second one hundred and seventy-five metres high with a distance of about thirty metres. The construction would use granite stones and they would be held together by a mixture of iron and cement although that was only the first part that took their Umbra a single month to have it done (thank the heavens for tireless workers).

When they finished the work they created a pit between the two walls that would be filled with a special magical mixture that in case of aggression would turn the moat into a death trap.

Also between the two walls there would be connections with drawbridges but instead of made of wood they were made of a magically reinforced glass. This was more like saying, look how good we are.

Although it might seem excessive, he would like to be able to send a nice fuck you message. The glass bridge would be from bottom to top so it would be easier to defend in case of having to move in some way and at the same time it could be used as a way to easily send soldiers to the lower wall if it had to be done.

The doors of the walls were made of solid Corindon stone. It was not easy to make two doors but once again thanks to the knowledge of science plus the power of magic was possible.

To move the doors, a chain system was used that made the doors open not in the expected and typical way of the doors but as a dam that was more efficient.

However, Hariric did not stay still. Once the walls and doors were finished hariric using the knowledge of the Valyrios applied the Dragonstone making their walls of a terrifying black colour in the opinion of many people. The towers that actually had a total of ten for each wall looked like war nests. What no one knew is that if everything went as he wanted, they would soon be even better.

The next point was the construction of the fortress. For a while I didn't know how to do it. I had so many ideas. So many thoughts but he didn't know how to do it so he decided to do what he knew best and try to do a trick.

The first thing was to create what were four large towers. These were ten floors high each, which meant a height of thirty metres with a width of three hundred square metres. The first would be the tower of education as he calls it. It had an elevator since each floor had its different interests with the last being the aviary and each of the previous ones intended for a different function (laboratory, library, home of the master of that time, etc.).

The second and third towers would be so big and would be the towers of the Winterfell workers. That is, where the guards, butlers, the workers of the stables as well as the workers of the different glass gardens within the fortress lived. The tower had all the basic measurements if you thought about it. Hariric was a strong defender that the best way to have your people on your side is to have them both happy and afraid.

The next structure was the Torreon where those who come to visit the North to dialogue or start diplomatic talks with Lord Stark would be expected to stay. It was both for the lords of the North and any lord of the south who comes to see the North of course.

All the towers had a connection with the main castle caused no more or less than fixed glass bridges. However, the doors only opened from an hour to an hour. It was the great central castle that would impress everyone. The great castle had what was an entrance hall from which you could go to any of the castle towers. The seven towers were basically different structures. The lowest tower was actually a spa of the Stark house. The second tower, which had three floors, had what was basically the kitchen and pantry. The other towers were basically the personal libraries of the Stark house, the state guest housing room (i.e. the royalty and the other great lords) and the personal laboratory of the Stark house.

The main room that was reached from the entrance had several things. On the first level was the reception room that was basically where the nobles and small came to ask for an audience with Lord Stark. The second level was basically the homes of the family members with up to twenty different rooms. The third level that was covered by what was a glass dome was the banquet hall.

All well thought out so that the Stark family can boast strength and power all made with the most delicate art. And in all the towers, grounds and in the fortress there were outside wolf figures made of dragonstone with blood rubies in their eyes while inside the great fortress the floors and walls were with white marble, high quality wooden furniture and tapestries.

Hariric knew that some would say that he had passed three fucking towns just to show off the Stark house but he had done it with an intention and had not spent a penny. All the money that had supposedly been used was actually a lie since his father did not know about the work of his Umbra that even after five years they were now working in the Winter City to turn it into the most wonderful form of construction. Meanwhile, his father had the workers finish the Winter Mines that were in the mountain range and they had already begun to mine what would be excellent for his next plan.

Hariric was sitting in his room looking at the data he had in front of him since thanks to Hedwig and his ability to fly and his connection he had been able to easily establish what was the information he wanted to know what Sea Dragon Point was and also of course the Stoney Coast. This was more than anything because he intended to turn them together with the Cailin pit into the next fortresses of the family. He had three brothers after all and each of them deserved in a few words a stronghold to call home.

"My lord, I have just been informed that the final lords have arrived. As expected, Lord Bolton and his allies were the last to arrive. From the information I could see they were more than a little upset by the reconstruction of Wintercity and at the same time they looked with envy at Winterfell''. Howland Reed had become Hariric's hand of information.

"Let me guess Lord Bolton has already begun to release his comments about how we wolves are letting the interests of the southerners consume us by building a great fortress as we have done, haven't we?" Hariric smiled. This harvest festival was the first that could be produced after the winter they had spent.

"Yes, my lord. Lord Bolton is commenting with the other lords of his alliance that obviously the Stark house has let your education in the south go to his head if obviously they are wasting money on what is the construction of this great fortress''. Howland was actually impressed and when his lord informed him that he had his own plans for the neck for the Reed house to enjoy them, he immediately knew that it would be fine.

"Typical way of thinking Bolton. Since he doesn't like what he sees, he feels that it is his obligation to let it be known that he thinks he is above all. One thing, is Dareon with the others learning at the moment?''. Dareon Rogare and one of his most important friends was a young man who had quickly stood out in the fortress. His combat instructor had been surprised by Dareon's great ability and at the same time he had found himself beyond enchanted with what was his dedication to learning.

"Yes, my lord. Young Dareon Rogare and his sister Shelia are currently with the various teachers. Master Wallys is even more unhappy than before although nothing has been done since it is found that the lessons taught by the old old masters are more efficient than those of the old man''. Howland had never trusted the teachers since they had this unpleasant tendency to say what was true and what was a lie.

"So from what I can say it was a good idea to recruit more than obviously all these former masters who grew up unhappy with the order." It wasn't easy but it was possible.

Like any organisation, the teachers had a tendency to despise some of their members among these members were the least delighted. Some of them because of the poor progress in medicine or the lack of study of many topics.

"You should know that master Wallys suspects that his letters are intercepted in some way by someone and that someone has reported his interest in something being done about the advance of the North. Wallys has found out about the mines and all the farms in the Stark house allies.'' Howland could see that his partner from the North was thinking carefully about the points to take into account.

''So that means that he has committed treason against the North. At the moment we won't do anything against Wallys. Moving against the man is stupid for the moment and meaningless but at the end of the day his life is completely in our hands. Any report to be taken into account about the rest of the state of North Howland?''. Hariric smiled. He had wanted an excuse to get rid of the northern masters.

"My lord is as you feared. As soon as this was done, several groups have tried to get hold of the places. The Ryswell family has tried to attack the different cultivation plantations of the Dustin family. The Tallharts have been attacked by the Glovers. The Umber for the Boltons. And the plantations of the Manderly house by the Hornwoods. However, no attack has been efficient''. He honestly had to question where the brains of the members of those houses were, thinking that they could attack without thinking about it.

"Well, it seems that the way we have done things has made the action difficult, which is all I really cared about. I guess the Bolton and Glover houses have been the least harmed. The Ryswells have possibly not come out well since the Dustins are not idiots and I guess the Hornwoods have tried to make some game even more stupid.'' Hariric sighs. Although some would think it was strange, the truth is that I knew that the attacks would not have so much effect.

"In reality, all the attacks ended with the deaths of the assailants completely. No survivors were left behind. The assailants seemed to think that it would be easy and simple but all the houses completely followed his advice regarding the Defence of the plantations and also placed considerable amounts of security. Apparently the number of southerners who have arrived has allowed the creation of a more or less acceptable safety net''. First rule of war if you want to get to where there are useful things always get ready for a bloodbath.

''Let me guess. The workers are the southerners while the protectors are northerners. No wonder then that the attacks have failed. Along with what it is that there are small walls, archers and people capable of fighting. And no house could afford to deploy large units. Maybe groups of ten for each of the villages. I guess we'll have to send a message''. Hariric smiled knowing that this could be excellent news more than good for him. But Howard hadn't finished.

"Actually, my lord, I think I have to tell you that the small people of the lands of Bolton and Ryswell are abandoning the lands of their lords in large numbers. While it is true that there is no difficulty in certain things to acquire such as working in the mills and little else the harsh reality is that they want more work that allows them to better feed their families. Ryswell and Bolton try to contain it with their troops but it's not going as well as they would prefer it to be.'' The few mills there were used to grind the wheat that was obtained from the south before.

"I guess it was a possibility that should have been really taken into account. The Boltons see their little people as mere insects and Ryswell are no better. The Umber follow our example for the series of benefits that have been for them but in the past they would have been equally hard on their little ones''. Hariric smiled. Everything worked perfectly if I had to say it.

"The Glover house as well as its main vassal house the Whitewhills are slowly losing more and more people in favour of the Forresters. The Whitehills have complained to the Glovers and have actually started a series of disputes with them. The Glovers are planning to call both lords to solve it but in reality they plan to settle the issue in favour of themselves and the Whitehills not only to seize the Forresters' grove but also to eliminate the main threat to their position.'' The Forresters were a threat to the Glovers so they were obviously thinking of treating them as such.

"The Glovers were once one of the greatest allies of the Stark house. I was about to let them be. Make the others an example but obviously it is more convenient for us to have the Forresters as allies. Well said, the Stark house will also benefit from this by seeing the Glover house lose a large amount of power and being threatened with a direct intervention of the Stark house''. The best way to say to solve it was by letting Mr. Glover know that the issues were known and that they would be discussed here and not in a place where it would obviously be two against one after all.

"If it is true that in their day they were vassals of the Stark house and incredibly loyal, my lord, you are forgetting that the Glover house was once a house that was queen of its own territory. They think of themselves as kings and only bowed to the power of the Stark house. The current Bolton has poisoned the minds of the Glovers by making them believe that the Stark house is weak now and they think they will get away with it. Obviously they didn't think so well.'' Howland sigh. He knew that his current lord would not take with a good attitude the betrayal of those who were his vassals.

"It's a sad shame. Anyway, for the moment we will do things as planned. We'd better go. Our parents are possibly waiting in the meeting room where each of the gentlemen will be. I'm one hundred percent sure that this is not going to end well.'' Hariric could see the Bolton family making demands of what was happening with the Stark house.

"With all due respect, my lord, it was obvious from the beginning that things would turn out this way if I have to be honest. However, if you say things in the right way, it doesn't matter what the Boltons think or what the other houses create because in the end the one that will triumph will be the Stark house. You just have to know how to raise it''. Howland knew that his master could talk. But in the North only power and strength were respected.

Hariric for his part knew that today was the day when he had to make it look like the Starks were a wolf for a good reason. The Bolton house. The Ryswell house. The Glover house. The Hornwood house.

All of them would question whether they were making the right decisions. All of them would be taking the question of whether the Stark house was in its right right. Well, he would make sure to make it clear to all of them that the Stark house would be in the hands of a suitable person in their future.

And that if they didn't want to earn their anger in any way in the future, they should do their best and shut up unless they want to have a problem with some kind. And he would make sure that they learned it the old way.

-Winterfell: Meeting Room-

Redsart Bolton was a cold man. He felt that the North belonged to the Bolton house and for the last almost three hundred years his family had slowly undermined the backing of the Stark house with the hard work of making them understand that they were cowards. That they were weak.

The Bolton family was actually proud of their work and happy to be turning people against them against the Starks. Unfortunately for him there was a point and that is that ordinary people preferred the Starks over the Boltons because of their ways of being less harsh with the little ones and exploiting them in the same way they had to be done.

He had the support of Glover, Hornwood and Ryswell. Three powerful houses against the Stark house, the Umber and the Dustins. The Tallharts and the Mormonts were weak and the Manderly were very easy to destroy them.

Now he had been working on winning the Karstarks who for a while although they supported the Starks along with their own faction were also more than a little upset. And he found it without precedence when the eldest son of the Starks was sent south to learn. He mocked the stupid movement. I had thought that everything was fine... until three years ago when things began to happen against which I had no room for maneuver.

It turns out that the son had returned with unexpected knowledge. I knew more and it tasted better. He had obtained food seeds that could grow in their climates and then distributed them among his allies so that they could dedicate themselves to growing them. Soon he saw something worse in the form of the little ones of each of the houses vanish in a constant drip or in the case of the Glovers having the matter that they were losing them to the Forrester house that was a very strong ally of the Starks.

All for the condemned child who had somehow made possible a dream of making the Northerners of all things basically self-sufficient and could not stand it because it put his plans in retreat.

His allies and he had sent assailants to attack the farms in the hope of doing great harm to the Stark boy. What neither he nor anyone else counted on is that although the places were not very fortified, a truly military attack would still be required to succeed and that would immediately target all of them as part of some kind of conspiracy to attack the members of the houses.

Slowly he could see the power that the Bolton house had created completely destroyed under the power and dominion of the Stark house something that he was beginning to hate with immense passion if he had to be frank. And it got much worse now.

Because now he was in the headquarters of the power Stark and he was stonned. The city that was forming around the Stark fortress looked like it was going to be huge. In addition to that was the point of the Stark structure. It was basically colossal and a message of power and strength. How could the Boltons really compare to it?

There were also the glassware and all the work done. No matter how you saw it, the Stark house had just made the impossible possible and become an even more formidable enemy. He could see his allies shudder knowing that the Karstark block would never take his side because this structure meant one thing and only one thing: money. The Stark house had access to money somehow.

With a last look I entered what was called the meeting room. In the meeting room he was in what seemed to be an elevated position that had been reached through what I heard was an elevator.

Once he entered he was greeted by a room with white marble walls and floors with a table as black as the night with touches of silver on it and comfortable chairs clearly made of quality wood and good leather.

There were two chairs per seat, one for the lord and one for the heir. Behind him his son Roose shuddered because he met Hariric Stark's eyes, eyes that even today were scary for his son.

One by one the gentlemen began to sit down while a group of maids entered with glass bottles filled with an amber-coloured liquor. Then the glass glasses were placed and each one received a portion of the drink.

Lord Stark sat with his heir on his back while he placed himself. Rickard Stark was a big and strong man but his mind was just as dangerous. Redsart shuddered. If he knew that his coalition had somehow been attacking the food farms, he could see his head beyond cut. I honestly preferred not to be in the middle of his anger thank you because although it could be dangerous I had no doubt that I would be beaten.

"Once again we meet after a winter at this harvest party. I'm sure there are people with questions. I'm sure there are people who think I have demands. I'm going to settle the matters immediately and we'll do it our way. Now tell me, ladies and gentlemen, what do we start this meeting with?''. Rickard could practically see the anger in the eyes of some certain gentlemen while others saw things with open interest.

"I think I speak for everyone when I question you Lord Stark to know how it is possible that you live in a place like this." Lord Ryswell couldn't shut up. He saw Bolton's look but he didn't care since in his eyes this was completely earned just by pointing out that Lord Stark of all things lived a life far superior to that of the people who were supposed to be under his care.

However, Lord Stark only looked at him. He stood where he was looking at him as if he were stupid in some way. For the lord of the horses he was clearly seen as insignificant and he did not want or intend to tolerate that in the least. But before he could say the least, Lord Stark decided it was time to answer.

"To answer your words, Lord Ryswell, I will say that it has been incredible. First, the Stark house does not have the need to buy food in the south thanks to the newest farms in the North. Umber, Dustin, Tallhart, Manderly. All these houses now produce a large amount of food in the North. Together with the Reed house and the lords of the swamp. Now for the first time in years we produce our own food which is more than before''. Rickard could clearly see that everyone in the room was paying attention to him.

"And yet you live here in an impressive house that we can say is monstrously large and good while the so-called gentlemen who are your friends and are producing the food of the north do not have the same luck." Goblet was about to say something else when a calm laugh was heard. All the lords looked at the young heir Stark.

"Excuse me, Lord Glover, but it almost sounded like I was saying that the money I earn in the south through many jobs would have to be given to each gentleman. I used it for the Stark house and the benefits it was. Right now the Stark house had the need for those profits and honestly I don't see why you of all people are someone to tell me the least I do with my money''. Hariric looked annoyed at the man who thought his plot had gone completely unnoticed. Unfortunately, the other gentleman was short-tempered.

Why is a fucking child who has barely come out of his mother's tit talking in a meeting of lores?''. No one saw it coming. It was too fast. Hariric got up from his seat and before anyone could do anything Hariric had crossed the distance that separated them slipped into his back and hit his face hard against the black wooden table making it sound an unpleasant crunch.

All the gentlemen clearly looked at the act without knowing what to do but Rickard only sighed knowing that that would be his son's answer before hitting him twice more against the table in the area where he was sitting.

"I'm Lord Stark's son. I don't like it when a vassal of mine talks to me as if it were a dirty part of the wall. Although my father could decide to be kinder, I'm not. Be lucky that this is not the south. If it were you, you would be dead on your way home. Your children would have died and your wife raped in the worst way. Remember it when you compare me to those southern pussies''. Hariric growled although inside he felt satisfied.

"It seems that my son had to put it the hard way. The money used in the reconstruction not only of Winterfell but of Wintercity as well as Winter Mine in the south are courtesy of the gold that Hariric got in the south since apparently the southern pussies did not take well that a child from the North came to earn a knowledge that they did not want to give him'''. Rickard could see clearly surprised looks from all the lords of the North.

"It's hard for me to believe and with forgiveness I say this that a child is able to pay for the work of thousands of golden dragons. I'm sorry if I consider it with curiosity but it's hard for me to believe in all the things that somehow you've come to a way to earn large amounts of gold boy''. Ryswell spoke coldly again with what was a touch of anger. The idea that Lord Stark's son was much smarter was a dangerous idea.

"Well, that's what you have when you know how to play gambling. He also won a considerable amount of resources from southern lords who instead of paying with currency paid with resources. As you can see this fortress and what surrounds it is curiously the work of the nobles of the south who kindly paid for it without any doubt and if you have doubts you can always ask my father since he is obviously the one who watches the profits arrive''. Hariric smiled when he saw the look of the noble lords.

"HA it seems that the heir Stark has more where he comes from honestly. I really like what I see if I have to be frank so thank you boy for this. However, is it true that it was you who discovered the plantations that are able to withstand the faith of our beloved home? Because according to the teachers there was nothing like that. Jonrum Umber laughed amused when he saw the different gentlemen who obviously had no affection for the young Stark put in their place.

"Yes, I did and thank you for the thanks. It's not that it was an impossible job or shit like that. It was just a complication because the teachers don't like anyone telling them that they are so full of shit. Anyway, despite that, I think I can say that things went well. I came back with money for the projects I had in mind and here I am.'' Hariric laughed. The Glover's gaze of pure unadulterated fury was there.

"You have mentioned projects so I guess your young Stark has some plans that you want to make present. My exact question is What are you planning for the North and what could be its more than obvious effects?''. Wyman manderly was calm and sitting. At his age he knew that this was not an ordinary child.

"My most exact question is What is this Winter mine? We had no idea of an extension of land of the Stark house like that''. Lord Bolton thought he had seen a weak point but he fell when those eyes looked at him again. Why? Why did it feel like they were looking directly at his fucking soul?

''...They are my plans to make the north the most powerful kingdom''. And that's how the pandemonium broke out.
