Quidditch

"Alright, we are here, it's okay even if Fernsby got her face blown. We can still do our best to keep our score high, "Lestrange announced to his teammates, looking around the changing room.

"Let's get together with the girls," he added.

The Slytherin team contained only three bright players now, that was including Harriet Fernsby, the Slytherin seeker. She was so good when she was on the broom that people would think she was a broom herself but apparently, she cares about her looks more than quidditch.

It used to have five bright players last year but two of the players graduated and Lestrange became the captain, he was also a chaser.

But the new substitute, Morsia as a seeker? He could only hope that she stays in the air for now, he didn't like gambling the fate of the match.

The boys gasped at Morsia as she arrived, pretty late to join them.

"Damn, Sia, we thought you ditched us!" Mebbal, the short but fierce chaser, mocked her.

"Closely," Morsia replied, smirking.

"Quick Ravenwood, I have to tell you guys about the plan!" Lestrange rushed.

It was perfect quidditch weather, Morsia was indifferent to the whole thing, after all she didn't like quidditch either just like Tom. She was tangled up in this mess because of his petty revenge.

"Okay, Everyone's here, Listen guys- I will be honest. Only me and Rick here are skilled and experienced," he pointed at the tall dusky dude.

"But without a team we cannot win right? and Ravenwood is a substitute seeker, but we can't expect her to catch the snitch--" Lestrange turned toward Morsia.

"Catch it if it ever comes near you though," he added to her to which Morsia nodded annoyingly.

"Let's focus on scoring. It's the Hufflepuffs; their team isn't any better than us. So, let's be as fast as possible in scoring, so even if they catch the snitch, we would win. Yes," he nodded.

"Aye Aye, caps!" Rick replied then the rest cheered.

Although Lestrange's mention of having only two players in the finest on the team made the rest feel a little demotivated, the plan sounded promising, and the gentle breeze boosted their will to win.

On the other hand, Morsia simply looked like an outcast in the team, wondering when this whole thing would be over.

"Who's refereeing?" Mebbal wondered out loud.

"It's professor Merrythought, damn," Lestrange shrugged.

"Don't worry about it," he added quickly.

"I don't know mate, she'd pull up a foul card whenever she pleases," Rick responded.

"Ok shut up, I'm trying to concentrate!" Mebbal retorted.

The slytherin team's dreaded hour came, as the commentator screamed at the top of her lungs, "HERE COMES THE SLYTHERIN'S TEAM!! CHEER YOUR TEAM SLYTHERINS! COME ON HIGHER!!

Morsia looked rather embarrassed, but she quickly recollected herself, following her team to the stadium. She scanned the audience for one single person—Riddle.

She caught him looking at her, smirking.

"Pathetic," she blurted.

"What?" Mebbal asked, looking clueless and mirroring Morsia's gaze, trying to find who she was looking at and calling pathetic.

Morsia smiled at her, a weird smile that left Mebbal feeling disoriented.

"Oh my god, look who is commentating!" Rick pointed toward the podium.

"God, it's Athena! Notts's twin!" the other girls giggled.

"Well, that definitely boosted my confidence," Mebbal nodded.

"Slytherins have so much to talk about in the quidditch ground, yes?" Professor Merrythought said coldly to which everyone shut their mouths.

"THE MATCH BEGINS!!" Athena exclaimed as Professor Merrythought released the Snitch.

"Hufflepuff's lightning chaser, Goldstein, got the Quaffle! God damn it, Slytherin missed the first chance, AND Goldstein scores!! Ten points to Hufflepuff!"

Morsia flew higher, looking down at the match from above. She watched as the game unfolded in front of her, finding it to be a very boring scenario. She battled to keep herself from dozing off in the middle of the match, determined not to break the promise of staying in the air.

"And Lestrange scores a consecutive double throw! Twenty points to Slytherin! Slytherin is now leading by 10 points. The match is getting intense!"

"Oh, what do we have here? The Hogwarts beauty, is she sleeping in the air?" the stadium roared with laughter, waking Morsia up.

Just then, the Hufflepuff's beater, Rowan, managed to hit the Bludger, sending it hurtling toward Lestrange. Lestrange swiftly moved out of the way just in time to avoid the Bludger. However, now the Bludger was soaring directly toward Morsia, and everyone except her noticed this impending danger. The moment passed in the blink of an eye as the Bludger struck her broom, knocking Morsia off and sending her tumbling through the air.

"Oh no, our Slytherin seeker is falling toward the ground! But why does she still look so graceful?"

"Shit," Morsia muttered.

She was falling from a great height, and it was evident that she was going to break her bones upon impact. However, in the nick of time, she noticed a brisk Hufflepuff beater who had stationed himself like a landing space for her. Acting quickly, she landed right behind his broom like a feather, only slightly startling him.

"This is not illegal right?" she asked him.

"What??" he was perplexed.

"Merlin's Beard! How did she do that? SIA BALANCING HERSELF ON THE HUFFLEPUFF'S BROOM!"

Just then, Morsia spotted a glimpse of the golden snitch; it was right in front of her as if it were asking to be grabbed.

But she wasn't the only one who saw it; the Hufflepuff's seeker came charging toward her direction at an immense speed, not considering the consequences.

Morsia quickly made a split-second decision. She jumped off the broom, grabbed the snitch in her hand, and once again began free-falling. However, this time, she was in control.

The Hufflepuff seeker crashed onto their beater.

All of a sudden her broom came, piercing through the wind toward her just in time; she wasn't expecting that.

"Get on the broom, Ravenwood!" Lestrange shouted.

She obliged the captain's command, quickly mounting the broom with the snitch still in her hand as she landed.

"BLIMEY, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT?"

"SIA SAVES THE DAY—I mean, the match! Slytherin got lucky, scoring 150 points with the snitch, and Slytherin wins with a final score of 360 to 200!"

I wanted her to land on foot and break her legs, unfortunately that's a foul :/ Slytherin has to win!
