Chapter 219: Underworld

After hatching Osiris, Arthur felt her pressure suddenly double.

There is no other reason, this little creature was an incredible eater.

In just a few days, Arthur had already spent thousands of galleons.

If he didn't have money from the Muggle world, he might not be able to afford Osiris.

Arthur specially purchased several breeding farms for her as backup food storage for the little dragon.

Inside the Resurrection Stone, Ravenclaw kept trying to talk Arthur out of going to the realm of the dead as a living person.

"Don't worry. The Invisibility Cloak will keep me hidden within this 20-mile radius. If there's any danger, I can simply retreat to the living world. Besides, don't you want to see what the afterlife looks like?"

Arthur replied.

"Enuma Elish"

As before, Arthur used the crimson magic to hit the calculated coordinates.

But this time, he could control the attack so that it hit the right place.

Unlike the last time, he didn't drain all of his magical power, but he did feel a little weak.

The space broke up inch by inch, and the thick cracks tinged his scalp.

Finally, the strong spatial barrier couldn't withstand the overpowering attack, and a small hole collapsed at the center, just large enough for two people to pass through.

Feeling the lifeless aura emanating from the hole, Arthur took a deep breath, put on the Invisibility Cloak, and flew into it.

After entering the rift, Arthur saw a rainbow-colored crystal wall.

He wasn't aware of how far or how long he had traveled after the Ea Wand opened the path.

It seemed like the concepts of space and time didn't make much sense here.

Finally, Arthur felt his weight increase, and he stepped onto a plain.

"Is this the underworld or afterlife?"

Ravenclaw's excited voice resounded in Arthur's mind, unable to believe that he had actually succeeded.

Suppressing his own excitement, Arthur observed his surroundings. The endless space was flat, gloomy, and boring.

Arthur sensed his perception being blocked by a river in the distance.

He chose a direction and cast a Levitation Charm to float over it.

After a long time, he crossed a spiral path and finally arrived at the riverbank.

It was a deep and fast river, and Arthur sensed a dangerous aura coming from above it.

After crossing the river, Arthur recognized a withered elder tree on the opposite bank—an elder tree.

Ravenclaw was excited, mentioning how this scene resembled the story from the Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Arthur recognized that the elder tree by the river should be the origin of the Elder Wand—the legendary Deathly Hallow.

In the tale of the Deathly Hallows, the Peverell brothers encountered Death by the riverbank, and the eldest brother's wand was made from a branch of the elder tree.

To cross the river, Arthur conjured a chair from his pocket dimension and transformed it into an arch bridge.

Though he wanted to test the environment by conjuring a small animal, he was afraid it might attract dangerous entities, so he abandoned the idea.

He walked across the arch bridge, holding his wand with confidence. His magic was back to normal, and if something went wrong, he could make a new space tunnel to get back to the real world.

Fortunately, Arthur safely arrived on the other side of the river.

Countless soul-like figures appeared in his eyes, unconsciously wandering in mid-air.

Although he couldn't determine their identities due to their shattered appearances, it was enough for Arthur.

Now he was sure about the function of the Deathly Hallows.

The Elder Wand broke through space, the Resurrection Stone stored souls, and the Invisibility Cloak hid his presence.

With these three Deathly Hallows, he had the ability to steal souls from Death's grasp and become an existence above Death.

But Arthur had the Ea Wand, which was even more powerful than the Elder Wand.

As for Dumbledore's mysterious mention of Death being a great adventure, Arthur now knew that it was all just nonsense.

The goal has been achieved.

Arthur absorbed a soul to study further in the living world.

Then he returned to the original spot in this space and calculated the coordinates for the living world.

With one strike, he entered the space crack and disappeared into it.

As Arthur vanished, the space crack slowly closed as if nothing had happened.

In the depths of space stood a simple and ancient palace.

Inside, a figure wearing a hooded cloak sat silently on a throne as if in deep slumber.

At the moment when Arthur disappeared, the figure's hand with the hooded cloak seemed to twitch slightly.

"My collection is missing one..."

A dead silence followed, and the hoarse voice echoed in the hall, taking a long time to dissipate.
