Evening Banquet IV

Vincent who was on his last stretch suddenly glows green. [YOUR HEALTH and MANA HAS BEEN RESTORED - 70%]. New energy pulses through him as if he regained a large portion of his health and mana back to him. The wounds he had received from the exchange were instantly healed, if not a small pink mark.

He looks at the girls' fight and sees his mysterious partner, maskless, munching on a chocolate chip cookie and waving a makeshift flag with a "V" drawn in blood. Her straight black hair was pulled into a messy bun making her look adorably sexy. She sends him a grin even when her small heart-shaped face was red from the fight she just had.

Right, her opponent, he thought. Her opponent, Lilith, was sprawled on the floor, knife on her thigh, passed out with streaks of tears on her face. That looked ugly.

"She healed you." The man I was fighting states. He looked slightly interested in the strange woman. To this, Vincent felt a prickle on his chest. Using half of what he had restored, Vincent stabs the floor with his sword. Ice covered the ground and raced toward his opponent. Ice burst out from the floor and encases the stupidly handsome Asian male in ice.

"Hmph. Don't think you're the only good-looking one here."

Hyun-cho on the other hand, looks at the ice that covered him to stop his shoulders,

Vincent Lambardi did not get this strong this early in the scenario. He was supposed to unleash this skill in the next scenario. He side-eyes the strange woman who was stuffing a cookie in her mouth while waving a flag with a "V" on it. Hyun-cho does not know if her involvement or sudden appearance on this turn was a good thing or a bad thing. Things he knew from the past 5 turns may turn upside down because she was an anomaly.

Vincent, slightly tired from that one attack, holds his sword up against the man before him. The Asian male was no longer paying attention to him but to his mysterious dance partner. Is he starting to like her?

"Should I kill her." The Asian male says out loud, staring at her.

"This bastard—!" Vincent dashes in to cut him down. Just as when he swings to his opponent's neck, the ice cracks.

C-CRACK!

Ice blasts everywhere. Vincent jumps back and swats at the flying ice. Mist surrounded the area where the Asian male was standing. A sword comes flying to him. With his sword, he deflects the sword to the side. However, he did not see the fist Hyun-cho throws.

Vincent flies from the impact. He used his sword to stop himself from sliding further and barely stayed inside the barrier. I can't lose now, he thought. He was afraid that if he lost, he could not imagine what that crazy bastard would do to his dance partner.

Vincent gathers all his remaining mana and lets it condense around his sword. He was still gathering aura when something knocked him from behind before passing out.

Hyun-cho, who had come up behind Vincent, hits his neck and watches the blonde fall face-first to sleep.

"I shouldn't have let that go on for so long." He leans down to check on the man's breathing. He was okay. He then turns to see the crazy bat woman sitting and watching him from afar. He decides to go up to her.

" . . . "

" . . ."

Marianne and Hyun-cho stared at each other. One had a sword pointed at her head while she tried to hand him a chocolate chip cookie. To say the least, it was kinda awkward. Lilith, who has been his dance partner for the last 5 rounds and won the battle, was still nearby out cold.

"Nya-nya-nya! Good, good! Fight some more— or so you thought." Meu gets in between them, "However, there's no need to fight now! You two have won the battle!" He spins before tipping his hat to the two humans.

"Here are your rewards-nya!"

As soon as the notification came up, Marianne and Hyun-cho took a look at the rewards.

"Nyow- you two. Put these on for each other!" Meu snaps, and Marianne finds herself teleporting in front of Mister Dark and Sexy. He looks down at her, unbothered. The two silver rings float down between them.

"Come on! Don't be shy-nya! Put the rings on each other!" The cat grins. She can feel her face heat up. Why is this cat crazy?! She jumps when Dark and Sexy softly but firmly holds her hand and smoothly slips the ring on her ring finger. It didn't help when he bored his dark eyes on her red face.

"—mine." He whispers. For a second, Marianne swoons.

"Do mine." He says louder.

" . . . "

Looking away, she fumbles with the ring and tries to put it on him. When the ring is on, she smiles happily at the fact that she didn't mess it up. I hope he doesn't think I'm weird, she thought.

" . . . " He silently pulls his hand away.

"YAY! Congratulations, you two! I hope you guys can make things work. Nyow! Since the party is now over everyone can leave-nya!" Meu spins in the air.

"10 SECONDS!?" She gasps. She ran to the dessert bar one last time. She shoves as many cookies into her makeshift dress basket when someone comes up behind her.

"You—" Mister Dark and Sexy start.

[NOW EXITING: EVENING BANQUET IN: 00:00:00:00] Blue light shines around her, dark and sexy, and everyone in the room. Even the passed-out redhead and Vincent, who was starting to wake up. I quickly hand him a bunch of cookies.

"I hope I don't meet you again." She waves, "And thanks for doing me that favor— mister dark and sexy."

"Wait what—" He reaches out, but she disappears before him.
