How the Stars bring us Together

A story originally set within a castle of the Medieval Era, though it's like paradise on Earth(and in slight ruins), the Zodiacs find themselves caught up in trouble when Ophiuchus starts to stir it. They seem to part ways, although the God of Stars seems to think otherwise. The lot are soon sent to recreate their relationships in modern times, whether this plan seems to play or not is another matter... Having already been reincarnated into the thirteen respective Zodiac signs, you can imagine how confusing yet another time period would be. To most of them, at least. A cautionary reminder that this book shall contain some graphic, mature scenes. Viewer discretion is advised. There is also alot of profound language, such as swearing.

Chapter 9.

•Leo's POV•

•Present time•

I found myself watching as Ophiuchus slithered away. An unexplainable rage errupted in me as I dashed towards Cancer and tackled him to the floor.

"You jackass!" I roared as I clawed at his throat. I soon heard a fearful scream, presumably from Libra. "I now realise why Ophiuchus hates everyone!"

"W-.. Why? Because she..." He gasped for breath, before continuing. "She couldn't ha-.. Handle rejection?" Somehow he managed to keep a smirk plastered across his face at his remark. I then grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the fridge.

"Why are you always such an asshole?! You used to be kind and energetic, full of love instead of this undying hatred for everyone except Libra! How come you rejected Ophiuchus and not Libra, huh?!" This seemed to strike a soft spot on Cancer as he grabbed my hair and slammed it against his raised knee.

"How would you understand, even if I told you?!" He yelled, as I was dazed and leaning against the kitchen island. I was surprised nobody had intervened yet, only watching the show, huh?

"You know.." I spat out some blood to my left side. "Just because you've had it rough, doesn't mean you can take it out on everyone else around you.. You don't think we've all had it hard?!-" I was cut off by an axekick to my right side as I was still sat down. I fell down further, spitting out more blood.

"You don't understand anything, so let me tell you and explain a few things for you to understand!"

// A/N ~ With these Zodiacs, I've made it so each of these Zodiacs were human before and were "chosen" by the God of Stars to make each of them immortal and into Zodiac signs (they basically had former lives and were reborn, although they remember everything - or at least most, of their past). //

•Cancer's POV•

•In his former life, when he was about 10 years old•

I watched as my family's farm was burned to the ground by the King's men on horseback. I wanted so badly to make them pay, although my older brother held me back from doing so. I simply cried, upon the hill towering over the village, instead.

Our parents were brutally murdered as well as our mother who was raped and brought to death upon the stake, people thought she was a witch. Our father was tied to our burning house and watched as our mother was brought upon these treachorous things, he burned with the house.

I continued wailing as my older brother took my hand and pulled us away.

We walked for days without food nor water, until we stumbled upon a dock and a docked pirate ship. I found it cool, though my brother said not to go anywhere near it as we drank from the water.

"I'd suggest not to drink that, lads. Salt water only makes you thirstier." One of the pirates had found us. He had a light stubble, a pirate hat and a long, black leather coat contrasting with the red waist coat he wore underneath and slim leather pants. He had boots on, and a sword holster stuck at his hip. He also wore a necklace with a ring on it, although I never dared question it.

He looked like the captain.

"Christian, let's leave.." My brother whispered and tried to pull me up, though I was amazed by this kind gentleman.

"Can we be pirates with you?" I blurted out, unknowing of the consequences and hard, risky life upon the devastating seas.

"A couple of kids like you could scrub the deck, and when you're older maybe even become a captain!" The pirate seemed enthusiastic and grinned at us.

I continued staring, and my 15 year old brother immediately said, "No. Fucking. Way."
